Bernie Sanders Prepares For Debating Donald Trump

Watch out Bern, Trump is a counterpuncher. When you take a swing at him, be prepared to get hit back. Also, watch out for foreign objects, like chairs and hair clippers.

It’s almost noon and I have accomplished nothing yet.

No problem, your East Coastie base is watching Dorian 😀 You know how crazy we get during The Tropics season. We are here…./snork

      • Myiq2xu™ says:

Living in a hurricane zone is like living at the bottom of a steep hill that has boulders at the top. You know a few boulders will roll down the hill every year, but you don’t know where they will hit. So everybody keeps one eye on the hilltop.

        • DeniseVB says:

Some of us in hurricane zones choose to live on top of the hilltop. 😉 Some of us are aghast that the Global Warming Warning Preachers (Obama and Gore) buy estates on oceanfront properties.

          • Mt.Laurel says:

Ocean front that had been “reclaimed” from the sea. the types of areas original settlers knew to stay away from because they understood a storm may have created a large sand bar, I mean ocean front property, but the next one can take it a way in a split second. ⛈ 🌊 🌪

      • Somebody says:

I’m in the cone 😞 I hope it curves out to sea,, but that scenario is becoming less likely 😞

If it stays on the forecasted track, we should be fine, but if the track shifts north….oh shit. Of course I won’t be here, I’ll bug out.

I just think this storm is rude as hell to disrupt a holiday weekend AND why couldn’t it wait a couple of weeks until DD closed on her house? That would have been more convenient, free place to stay……but I’ll count my blessings as my sister already called wanting to go to DD’s house. I’d rather sleep in my car than be cooped up in a house with my mom, my sister, BIL and my grandkids 😲 Plus my mom and sister don’t know I started smoking again, not sure I could pull off the non-smoker routine under those circumstances 🤣🤣🤣

        • DeniseVB says:

Hasn’t your home survived worse in the past seasons ? I wouldn’t leave. Yeah, Dorian is one bi-polar bitch right now.

          • Somebody says:

Worse? Nah. We were bitch slapped by Matthew. Matthew cruised by a few miles offshore, but didn’t make landfall here, it saved that for the Carolinas.

Irma jacked us up, jacked up the whole state just about. Irma came right up the peninsula of Florida. We had sailboats cruising by sky scrapers in downtown Jacksonville.

I will definitely skip out on a landfalling Cat 3, especially when I’ll be on the dirty side of it. It all depends on the track. If it stays like it is with Titusville in the cross hairs, that’s well south of me…..but if it shifts northward to St. Augustine or worse Jax, I’m outta here

          • Somebody says:

The 5pm update shifted the track south!

          • taw46 says:

I didn’t want to see it shift South. 😩

          • Somebody says:

Sorry Taw 🙁, but come on the projected path is still closer to me than it is you. Plus you are not only south but well west AND you’ll be on the weak side of the storm. That’s IF either of us get much at all of this thing, it’s a pretty compact storm as far as hurricanes go.

          • taw46 says:

Lol, Somebody, I still don’t want it to shift South. It took a year to get the repairs done to our house after Irma. Still haven’t replaced the trees we lost. Our neighbors still haven’t moved back into their house, what with fighting with their insurance company to get repairs done. Just don’t want a repeat. Go away, Dorian!

        • swanspirit says:

Hurricanes are just damned rude. Hopefully Dorian will be over quickly. But the currents are so churned up, the red no swimming flags are flying on the beaches of Ocean City, already.

It’s Official: Suspension of UK Parliament Approved by Queen Elizabeth II

The longest-standing Parliament in modern British political history will come to an end in September, a decision which has outraged anti-democracy politicians in the United Kingdom because it gives them less time to plot against the Brexit process.

If a hurricane is strong enough to level Mar-A-Lago, it will level all of West Palm and other cities and towns on the coast within 50 miles. That’s a lot of death and destruction Eva is hoping for. Liberalism is the newest mental disorder.

    BREAKING NEWS—–
Lawrence O’Donnell is reporting on MSNBC-MS13 that a source tells him that President Trump and Russian oligarchs planted the cash at Gary Jone’s house on his way to the G7 meetings last week. Rachel Maddow is confirming the story. Comey, Brennan, Clapper, and McCabe have also confirmed the reports.

Well here again the fake news starts to weave a narrative.
    Watching FoxNews and a banner scrolling on the bottom had this;
The Walmart shooter stated that he purchased his AK style rifle on line from Romania.
You know, the Romania that President Trump had a successful meeting with its President.
Yep, now Trump is meeting with the leader of a country that sells AK’s over the internet.
Of course being fake news, it fails to include that the rifle was manufactured in Romania or here in the US from parts also imported.
    Wait, it gets better.
He bought the ammo from RUSSIA.
“Hello Val? I need a couple hundred rounds of ammo so I can shoot Mexicans at the local Walmart.”
Again purposely not mentioning that ammo of various calibers have been imported for years from Russia and other foreign countries.
Get ready for some more Russia collusion bs.

My front porch is a murder scene, body parts everywhere😲🤢 Apparently one of the cats caught what appears to be a really large rat or more likely a juvenile opossum.

What a shock to the senses at O’dark thirty 😲 Thank goodness I had to go grab something out of the car, otherwise I would have had my dogs with me taking them for their morning walk 😲 I do NOT want them grabbing the leftovers 🤢 Also, so happy hubby is home……oh dear, there’s a mess on the front porch that needs your attention 😂😂😂

We don’t even own cats 🙄 However, there is a collection of them in our cul-de-sac and the man next door feeds them 🙄 He’s out of town, hence the kill, but I will NOT feed them. There are two, almost identical cats that staked claim to my yard, exact same markings except one has slightly darker markings than the other, pretty sure they’re brothers or sisters?? I put up with them, don’t shoo them off when they nap on my lanai even though it bothers my dogs, but if there is another episode like this they’ll have to find somewhere else to hang out.

    • Dora says:

Oh no! That sounds like what happened to me a few years ago, only instead of a rat, it was a seagull who lay all over my lawn.

It was a horrible, bloody scene. There were feathers all over the place. There was no sign of a cat, but I presume he was the murderer. Several of the neighbors have cats and let them roam around at night.

I was also fortunate to have Hubby home at the time. As soon as I saw what was outside, I ran into the bedroom where he was still sleeping. The poor man. What a sight to wake up to. He went outside to clean it all up, while I put up more coffee.

      Good luck.

    • votermom says:

On the plus side, they are exterminating vermin for you, yes?

      • Dora says:

        I didn’t think of that, but I suppose you’re right. 🙂

      • Somebody says:

Absolutely, that’s why I let them be. Cats are really good at killing snakes 😁 So I allow them to lay claim to my yard. I wish they would off the armadillos, hell I’d reward them with filet mignon or the finest seafood. I wouldn’t care how messy they were about it either. It would be difficult to clean up because I’d be laughing and jumping for joy 😉

These are feral cats, somewhat. They weren’t always, but are now. My Vietnamese neighbor a couple of doors down sort of collects cats 🙄 He has chickens and a large vegetable garden, several fruit trees and his prized Koi pond in his backyard, amazing yard. He gets cats to protect his backyard and firmly believes in keeping them hungry so they hunt and fend off predators.

I’ve never figured out why he thinks they won’t hunt his Koi and chickens 🤔 but raccoon and opossum do??? In any event, the cats eventually figure out there is free chow next door or across the street and leave. So the dude gets another cat or sometimes two 🙄 Rinse repeat 🙄 We currently have 7 cul-de-sac cats full time, 2 in my yard, 2 next door, 2 across the street and one at the original owner’s yard, at least for now. There are 2 or 3 other ones that show up for a couple days or a week then disappear for a bit only to reappear. I think they live in the woods or maybe they migrated to the next street over 🙄

Oh to be fair, one of the cats next door belonged to the previous owner before the house was foreclosed on. Cat was 8 or 9 months old and they left it, up until that point it was an inside cat. We tried and tried to catch it, never could. The 1st morning the new owners moved in that cat appeared, rubbed all over the man’s legs and ended up in his lap 😂 Pretty soon his buddy appeared, a cat that used to live next door. Those two stay strictly in the neighbor’s yard and only allow the other cats around at feeding time.

More than you ever wanted to know about the cats of the cul-de-sac 😂😂😂

  26. Dora says:

Oh no. Don’t even think it!

  27. DeniseVB says:

Interesting future forecast for Dorian, crazy.

    • elliesmom says:

While I don’t expect any real hurricane weather here, I can feel the tropical air moving in. For the last week or so we’ve had fall-like weather in the early mornings. Temps in the mid-50s. This morning at 7 it was already 70 and muggy.

TDS should be listed as a recognized mental illness. I don’t think I ever remember people rooting for a major hurricane to strike the USA, truly sick people.

The SE part of the state is very densely populated. If Dorian takes a hard left into that part of the state, millions will be in the path. How about we all hope for wind shear to tear it apart or for the jet stream to dip WAY south and spin Dorian out to see.
