117k “Likes” ?????? Where do they get those people or it must be bot generated ??? I saw a Corey Booker tweet that had 200k plus likes the other day for saying something equally stupid. Both can’t even draw 100 people at their events. Hmmmm?

I’ve been on the anti-Elizabeth Warren bandwagon since I was invited to meet her when she was deciding to run for the senate the first time. I was considering walking away from the idea women should support all women regardless of differences in political ideology. An hour listening to Lizzie Warren sealed it for me. No more any woman for me. The likes of Amy SIskind started the retreat for me, and Warren was the bridge too far.

      • Constance says:

Same here regarding the “support any woman” concept. All women had to do was be better than male politicians and they couldn’t even handle that! It was really disillusioning.

      • DeniseVB says:

I remember how the “support all women” worked for Sarah Palin. Of the major party tickets of 2008, she was the most qualified running. There were some normal people left in N.O.W. who supported her, but the haters overruled them.

Lizzolini wants to be president, eh?

      • Woke Lola says:

I was a strong proponent of any woman anywhere, but always qualified it with the clause “in the absence of fascism.” What’s she’s saying here is the very definition of fascism.

That said, I abandoned that philosophy when Obamacare was adopted the way it was, and with what was in it. Sometimes a party does something so wrong, so against their own alleged morals, so against the historical standards and Constitutional responsibilities of their country that they have to be punished for the rest of a voter’s life unless said party apologizes and reverses course. Democrats will never do that, so I will never vote for them again. I don’t give a shit what Republicans espouse, anymore, really. I will spend every vote I have punishing the assholes who did this to our country.

Even the South apologized after the Civil War, for God’s sake.

Don’t have to close them Joe, because another one of your Dem whack jobs said “ no more digging for coal”

LOL, true. It’s like when my kid wanted to switch from business to anthropology, I cut her off. Son’s degree is in criminal justice and he walked into a job as parole/probation officer after doing some grunt work in all the departments of corrections. Then 9-11 happened.

I think Egyptology would get his foot in the door at the State Department ? Some people just love going to school 😀 My friend’s daughter majored in Japanese, now working at the State Dept for the Central American wing, lol !

The Special Needs Education lobby is a strong one. When I was the 8th grade team leader, I went to a school committee meeting with the stack of IEPs for that year’s class. If we followed all of them, we would have had to cancel all the usual field trips and assembly programs, never allow any celebrations, including the much-loved Heritage Day, that included food, only assign homework on weekends, never take the kids outside for class, not award any prizes for anything, not choose any science fair projects to send to the next level of competition, or hold a school dance. That list doesn’t include any of the classroom modifications, like putting a carpet down in the science lab, a real fire hazard. I got sympathy, but just told to “Do your best to meet the needs of all the kids.” Some parents of special needs kids can be reasoned with, but others will dig in and threaten to sue you if you miss any part of their kid’s IEP. The middle school where I taught got a new principal this year, and he got a small band to play on the front steps of the school on the first day to welcome the kids back. He was excoriated because it “frightened the kids with sensory overload issues”. I wish him a good year.

This should have nested under Tim’s comment. WP is acting strangely for me this morning. A lot of the comments are blank.

          • Mothy67 says:

How about the kid’s themselves? I don’t recall anyone with extreme issues when I was a kid. Seems like it has gotten so much worse. Pup tells me about problem kids all the time. So many issues. Mad respect for grade school teachers. Part of it I think is mainstreaming. I don’t see these kids being better off.

    • Somebody says:

Wow, that’s some kind of problem Dweet. I haven’t had a problem, but I haven’t opened my app. Part of me is tempted to open my app and see if it happens to me and part of me is like, no don’t open it. My cautious side is currently winning.

So is diesel fuel not as explosive as regular gas? Media is downplaying the discovery. President Trump is visiting Baltimore and the 9/11 anniversary is in 2 days. I an filled with dread every year at this time.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

Diesel fuel and ammonium nitrate fertilizer is what Timmy McVeigh used in OKC.

    • John Denney says:

Gasoline is much more volatile than diesel, which is similar to fuel oil. Gasoline evaporates easily, and the mixture of gasoline fumes and air will explode if ignited. Diesel does not evaporate nearly as easily; one site says it only starts evaporating at 140 degrees.

A mixture of diesel and ammonium nitrate is explosive because the nitrate decomposes with heat and provides oxygen, making the diesel burn faster, releasing more heat to create more oxygen from more ammonium nitrate. The process cascades fast enough to create an explosion.

‘Mom defends her 10-year-old daughter who allegedly killed a six-month-old baby by dropping him and then stomping on his head when he cried at a Wisconsin daycare, insisting there’s ‘no way it was intentional’

    • Mothy67 says:

WTF is right. What was a 10 year old that had been removed from her biological family doing alone with an infant? Shouldn’t there be charges against the family that ran the daycare. Story raises a lot of questions. Were they putting her to work while everyone else was outside. Why was she removed from her home? So sad.

    • Somebody says:

Why was she alone in the house with the baby? I agree Tim the family that owns the daycare is negligent.

Clearly there were serious issues for this little girl to be removed from her parents. I’ve got a feeling there is a lot more to this story.

      • Anthony says:

“Prosecutors say the girl dropped the baby boy named Jaxon, who started crying when he hit his head. She then allegedly panicked and stomped on the baby to quiet him down. “

        To “quiet him down’…

Her foster family runs the daycare center.
