Democrats are Accusing Trump of Gaslighting the American People

“What is brighter than Joe Biden?”

Democrats are accusing Trump of gaslighting the American people and we all know what that means. Democrats project more than an IMAX theater, so if they accuse Trump of gaslighting, that is exactly what the are doing. Projection is a Democrat tell, like a nervous twitch. Gaslighting, OTOH, is a deliberate strategy.

Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person seeks to sow seeds of doubt in a targeted individual or in members of a targeted group, making them question their own memory, perception, and sanity. Using persistent denial, misdirection, contradiction, and lying, gaslighting involves attempts to destabilize the victim and delegitimize the victim’s belief.

I like this definition too:

Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse where the abuser manipulates situations repeatedly to trick the victim into distrusting his or her own memory and perceptions. Gaslighting is an insidious form of abuse.

I’ve said for 11 years now that Leftists behave like domestic abusers.

Have you ever had a conversation like this?

You: “Who were you just talking to?”
Them: “I wasn’t talking to anyone.”
You: “Who was on the phone?”
Them: “I wasn’t on the phone.”
You: “I saw you.”
Them: “It wasn’t me.”

You were there, you saw it, but they deny it so insistently they actually get you to question your own sanity.

The USSR did a lot of research on propaganda and mind control techniques. So did the Nazis and the Red Chinese. After the Korean War ended some of our soldiers who had been POWs refused to come back to America because they had been brainwashed by the Chinese.

One of the Soviets’ favorite techniques at mind control it to force people to lie and to agree with untrue statements. The Democrats want to force everyone to agree that trans-women are real women with s uterus and periods and such. If you disagree and say that trans-women are just dudes in dresses, Democrats call that “hate speech.”

Earlier this year we saw news stories about a caravan of immigrants from Central America headed for the United States. There were pictures and videos, and interviews with some of the marchers. Then Trump declared a crisis because of what he called an “invasion.”

Suddenly, there was no crisis. “Caravan? What caravan? Trump made it up.” The news media told us about the immigrant caravan, then denied it existed.

I’m not talking about the shameless flip-flopping that politicians are infamous for, like loving the filibuster when they don’t hold the Senate and then wanting to get rid of it as soon as they control the upper house. I’m talking about someone doing a 180-degree turn on something and then denying that they ever took any other position.

I’m talking about someone looking at Hunter and Joe Biden’s activities in Ukraine and China and saying there was not even a whiff of scandal in any of it, then asserting that Trump committed a violation of our campaign finance laws by asking the President of Ukraine to look into the Bidens.

One of the advantages of dating crazy women is that when when you have those moments of self-doubt and ask yourself, “Am I crazy, or is it her?” You can be confident that it’s her because she’s certified.

At the present time in this country, there is no consensus of reality. You cannot hold rational discussions with people who are irrational. This is very bad.

It’s true what Scott Adams said, it’s like we’re watching two different movies. You can’t talk to a liberal they refuse to hear you. They shut down and/or block out any facts you put forward. They meltdown if you like holes in their facts.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

This is from a short story titled “Lost Legacy” by Robert A. Heinlein that was written in 1941:

At that moment Brinkley burst into the room, rage in his eyes.

“Mr. Huxley, you have broken your word to me, and disgraced this university!”

It was some ten minutes after the fiasco ending the demonstration. Huxley faced the president in Brinkley’s private office.

“I made you no promise. I have not disgraced the school,” Phil answered with equal pugnacity.

“You have indulged in cheap tricks of fake magic to bring your department into disrepute.”

“So I’m a faker, am I? You stiff-necked old fossil—explain this one!” Huxley levitated himself until he floated three feet above the rug.

“Explain what?” To Huxley’s amazement, Brinckley seemed unaware that anything unusual was going on. He continued to stare at the point where Phil’s head had been. His manner showed nothing but a slight puzzlement and annoyance at Huxley’s apparently irrelevant remark.

Was it possible that the doddering old fool was so completely self-deluded that he could not observe anything that ran counter to his own preconceptions even when it happened directly under his eyes? Phil reached out with his mind and attempted to see what went on inside Brinckley’s head. He got one of the major surprises of his life. He expected to find the floundering mental processes of near senility; he found cold calculation, keen ability, set in a matrix of pure evil that sickened him.

It was just a glimpse, then he was cast out with a wrench that numbed his brain. Brinckley had discovered his spying and thrown up his defenses—the hard defenses of a disciplined mind.

Phil dropped back to the floor, and left the room, without a word, nor a backward glance.

      • Constance says:

Interesting, That reminds me of my ex. Sometimes I thought he was going senile but it was cold calculating evil. I’m sure glad that relationship is over and that he immediately was able to find another woman to inflict himself on which for the most part keeps him away from me. What a psycho.

  2. Somebody says:

I did make progress with my prog sister, she sort of half-assed listened. Then she insisted none of what I said happened, but added if there turns out to be any truth to a frame-up/coup against DJT those responsible should be punished lest it happen again……but it didn’t happen you’re crazy 😛 Then she went on to tell me orange man bad, he said pussy and members of his campaign worked with Russia, Hillary was robbed 🙄

The entire Russia hoax election interference, Mueller investigation was one big gas lighting con job on the American public.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

One of the reasons I don’t argue with Leftists is they keep shifting from point to point as you debunk their claims and refudiate their arguments. They’ll run out the clock that way, then the next time you see them they are back at point A again.

      • taw46 says:

So true. Just had a heated discussion with the relatives, and that’s what they did. On to another point. And anything I said was a lie. They don’t want a discussion. Craziness! I told them get used to it, he’s winning again in 2020. (Please, please. lol)

      • 49erDweet says:

It’s so much like arguing with a third grader that it scares me. Is this really all they’re capable of? How sad.

As a former “democrat” I totally don’t pay attention to what current “democrats” accuse me of. Since 2008, I Puma’d, I Tea Partied, then I walked away. Not only from the Dem party, but the media too. I’m such a Trumpkin now, he was the President I wanted since the 80’s 😀

  5. helenk3 says:

remember the movie The Manchurian Candidate? seem like real life now?

  6. swanspirit says:

O love this doggy. Also, how I am going to feel after President Trump wins the 2020.

    • lateblum says:

Sounds like obama and his foreign affairs committee assignment. He never called a meeting in the two years he was in the Senate. Not once.

      • DeniseVB says:

Obama did nothing in the IL state senate either. I think he showed up to vote for late term abortion or something. So this do nothing dingleberry went from the State Senate to US Senate to President in about 4 years? Whoa. No wonder Mike Ditka apologized for not running against him in ’06. Mike would have beat him like a drum (h/t Joe Biden 😉 )

  7. Dora says:

    Tulsi’s response to Hillary’s accusation.

Wow! She better be careful. No one talks to Hillary like that!

    • lateblum says:

And you can bet HRC is not one of those 38. She is so dirty, corrupt, rotten. Regardless s of what happens, I am grateful to Tulsi for calling HRC out. It should’ve been done years before PDJT did. But the Dems are so corrupt they couldn’t have done it without implicating themselves.

  8. Myiq2xu™ says:

    Me, gaslighting Mom:

Mom: “Where did this pool table come from?”
Me: “You told me to buy it.”
    Mom: “I did?”
    Me: “Yeah, don’t you remember?”

I had to send it back. It was too big.

Mom: “Where did the pool table go?”
    Me: “What pool table?”

  9. DeniseVB says:

Some fun following the Yankees/Astros thread tonight, I did lol…..

  10. DeniseVB says:

We should buy this….I’ll chip in a buck or two 😀

    • Woke Lola says:

I hope like hell they don’t win and dont see how they can. They are fighting it because a crime of moral turpitude, which identity theft is, is cause for permanent banishment. They’re actually fighting to be able immigrate legally at a later date.

Immigration law is a clusterfuck that no one wants to redesign. They just keep tacking on new shit when a whole, simplified code is called for.

  17. Dora says:

Maybe I am too old. I don’t know. But I can remember a day when subjects like this could only be found in Boris Karloff or Bela Lugosi films. How ever did this happen?

SAN FRANCISCO ( – The jury in the civil trial against undercover journalists who exposed the aborted baby parts market was left “shaken” after viewing a video clip of the abortionist describing “gruesome” things over salad.

  21. votermom says:

got a reply from zazzle – “MAGA” is copyrighted
gonna have to take it off designs and tags I guess

    • elliesmom says:

They have a lot of MAGA merchandise. If MAGA is copyrighted, I’m guessing the Trump campaign owns the copyright. I’m also guessing his campaign doesn’t use Zazzle to print their official campaign merchandise. So there’s either a way to get permission from the campaign to market things with MAGA on them, or Zazzle has been served and should be taking all the MAGA merchandise off their site.

    • DeniseVB says:

I know pro-sports have copyrights, but it’s never prevented the knock-offs. Like “official” NFL gear you pay triple for, but Kmart-like stores can sell knock-offs of NFL teams?

I know all the profits from Trump’s MAGA Store all go to his campaign, but people won’t pay $45 for a hat if they can get one from the street vendor at rallies for $10.

You’d think the Trump team would encourage more free publicity at all levels. But hey, he’s the businessman, I’m not 🙂

  22. DeniseVB says:

I think we’ve now passed the R.I.P phase of the recently deceased Cummings.

    • lateblum says:

And there’s likely so much more that they’ll never uncover. This city, and the state by extension, is as corrupt as can be. Blagojevich was really the tip of the iceberg. I think his sentence was merely a warning to others. I doubt they heeded it, though. Like the pols in DC, they thought Blago was the only one the feds were going after. And frankly, if the Clinton Democrats get back the power that they lost to PDJT, that investigation may well end before any more “damage” is done to the city and state democrats.

    • Somebody says:

No, this is as safe a vote for them as repealing Obama care with a dem senate and Obama in the oval office. This will go nowhere, it’s a nothing burger, make it look like you’re taking a stand when you’re really not measure. Even still there are 29 republicans that are too coward or too corrupt to vote on this, let that sink in. 29 that should be primaried out and should the R’s regain the house those 29 if re-elected should be on a back bench with no committee assignments.

If the R’s were really upset, they’d make criminal referrals for witness tampering at a minimum. They’d lodge an ethics complaint, which would go nowhere because the D’s control the house, but they’d have to give lip service to investigating. Ethics would clear Schiff or admonish him with a slap on the wrist, if the latter because wrong doing was found, they might get the 29 R’s and a few vulnerable D’s to actually vote to censure.

Last but not least, if they were really serious they’d collectively put immense pressure on the senate to fully investigate this AND the Kavanaugh mess. But they aren’t serious, they just want us to think they are. Gosh, we were outraged, we tried, but we’re in the minority we have no power. When they are in power the D’s never have problems figuring out how to force their objectives as the minority party, funny that.

No. My GOP congressman has a little note about us abandoning our Kurd allies yesterday on Facebook. I asked if Deep State got to him.

When I read about his endorsement yesterday, I thought it was strange.

    • DeniseVB says:

Don’t those idiots know that there would be no profit to Trump, Inc. He’s offering it at cost which would save the taxpayers millions. Also, easier for security, since it’s already built into the venue. Less for the secret service to worry about.

Same could be said for Camp David, but not as plush as the Doral resort. You can’t put heads of state in bunkbeds, lol. Otherwise, let other resorts bid on hosting, bet they can’t beat a Trump deal 😀

      • Constance says:

Eventually it will probably be moved someplace obviously inferior but more expensive and Democrats will be to blame. President Trump has made the Democrats insist on wasting taxpayer money just like he has made them be in favor of endless nonproductive war. I’m interested in how the impeachment turns out, Democrats want Trump to mount some major defense to their accusations but he seems to be taking the attitude that he is busy working and if that is how they want to waste their time then OK. They complain about everything he does so he might as well do whatever he wants.

  35. helenk3 says:
