This kind of stuff is wrong and should be condemned

No one has the right to behave like this. There is no place for this crap in a civilized country. If you’re going to pull this kind of shit you should expect that the people whose lives you are disrupting will get angry and will do things like grab your sign and throw it over a fence. (That dude is my hero.) They might even grab you and throw you over a fence. Or some delayed commuters might pummel you for a while until the cops get there and drag you away from the flash mob of clog dancers using your body as a dance floor.

When you Leftists chant “Whose streets? Our streets!” you are giving the wrong answer. Those are not YOUR streets. Like Obama said, “You didn’t build that.” They aren’t mine either. The streets are OUR streets, meaning yours, mine, and everyone else’s combined. But those streets were not always there. And they did not materialize by magic.

A lot of people in earlier generations built the streets and roads in this country. And a helluva lot more of them worked hard and paid taxes to pay for them. But we all have an equal right to use the streets. That means you have to SHARE them with us. I assume you Leftists are familiar with the concept of sharing. After all, isn’t sharing the essence of socialism? One guy makes money and 10 other people share it with him.

Don’t even start with calling this some kind of free speech issue. Your freedom of speech does not include the right to block roads whenever you feel like it. Nor does your freedom of speech impose any kind of an obligation on the rest of us to listen to the silly crap emanating from your pieholes.

Last but not least, you do not have the right to shut down or shout down someone else’s free speech. For civilized Democratic systems to work we must all respect and defend each other’s rights.

You Leftists have been sowing the wind for many years. You got away with it because there was a built-up reserve of patience and goodwill. Now pay attention to what I say next: People are sick of your shit and they are not going to take it anymore. I’m not threatening anybody, and I have no intention of being involved with violence. But if you think that Trump supporters would sit on their hands and do nothing while Congress tries to undo the 2016 election, you got another think coming.

I, too, am sick of their shit. And I would really, really hate them if I lived in one of those cities and was trying to go about my daily life.

Democrats are ALL idiots. PDJT was going to comp next year’s G-7 and save us tons of money, but no, stupid Dems just had to piss all over that plan.

    • Constance says:

Maybe President Trump was really planning to have the G7 in a lavish setting at cost. I think he was forcing a change in topics by the media and forcing Democrats to react with their best hair on fire outbursts. Now I think he will have the event someplace like Camp David which is cheap, more primitive and too small which forces the media to stay off site and he can bus them in from 2 hours away in yellow school busses. Where ever he holds it he is the President of the USA and he will have the best accommodations of everyone who attends and he will helicopter in and out not ride a crowded bus with no springs.

Here, without the ubiquitous and annoying commentary of Lipinsky and Weir, is yesterday’s beautiful skating performance of Jason Brown at the Skate America competition. The skating lasts about 5:20 minutes. Waiting for the scores – with replays of highlights – lasts a couple of minutes.

    • lateblum says:

He finished in second place behind Nathan Chen, also skating for the US. What a lovely skate. ❤️

    • Dora says:

When I was young I used to watch old Sonia Henie movies on television. I loved her and wanted to become a skater just like her. Didn’t happen.

My parents bought me skates and I practiced at the local rink, but skating was much more difficult than it looked. Oh, I was able to go around the rink without falling, but I could never do those twists and jumps.

This young man is a beautiful skater. I wish him all the luck in the world. And Nathan Chen too. I didn’t see Nathan skate, but I know he was just as good.

      Thank you for posting this.

      • lateblum says:

Besides genuinely liking Jason Brown, I am thrilled that his skating, as beautiful as it is, was so well received. He is known for his artistry, but has struggled competing because he lacks the jumps -quads mostly – the other men perform.
He has been charming and even thrilling audiences since he was a teen with his beautiful skating/ interpretations. Even through his back injuries and recovery he has not given up or given in to the pressures of perfecting those jumps to the detriment of his artistry.
I know, I’m gushing. I am thrilled for his finish this weekend. And I’m so happy you enjoyed it.

      • lateblum says:

Oh, and Sonja Henie was my first exposure to figure skating as well. She was magic!

      • taw46 says:

I watched her movies as well. Alas, I lived in a small town in SC and no ice skating rinks anywhere near us. I think I was in my late 30s or early 40s before I lived in a city with a rink. And by then too afraid to give it a try, lol. It is just such a beautiful sport.

Paris zoo unveils the “blob”, an organism with no brain but 720 sexes

PARIS (Reuters) – A Paris zoo showcased a mysterious new organism on Wednesday, dubbed the “blob”, a yellowish unicellular small living being which looks like a fungus but acts like an animal.

    • John Denney says:

720 sexes? What does that even mean? Do all 720 need to contribute in order to replicate?

    • elliesmom says:

This reads like it was written by a fourth grader. The organism either makes its own food or it doesn’t. (plant vs. animal) Or does it make its own food, but snack on others? An organism either multiplies by simple cell division or it takes two cells joining to produce a third cell. (asexual or sexual reproduction) Does it take 720 cells joining to make a 721st cell? That’s what having 720 different sexes would mean in biological terms. What does it mean to “learn”? If I put a plant in the window, it will grow toward the light. If I turn it around, the plant will grow into the light again. The plant has no brain. Is it “learning”? The bad thing about the climate change “science” is what it’s doing for what passes as science in everything else now.

I actually knew a girl in high school that was so poor she used newspaper. I only know that because the print sometimes would bleed through.

The me of today would quietly give her feminine hygiene products and a hug. I’m ashamed to say my mean girls high school self made fun of her. Making fun of her and being mean and cruel in the way I rejected a prom invitation from a guy that clearly mustered up all the courage he had are my two biggest regrets in high school. In both instances there was no excuse for me being a little bitch. Karma visited me my senior year though, so there’s that.

    • John Denney says:

Fed money? Pftt. The money comes from productive citizens, unless the Fed is just printing money for the Fed government to buy stuff and pay Fed workers.

I like the idea of an “uphill roll” of tax moneys. A town collects whatever taxes from its citizens, and that’s the only tax they pay. The towns send a percentage to the county. The counties send a percentage to the State. The States send a percentage to the Fed. All for services rendered at whatever level.

My sister just sent me my Grandma’s apple bread recipe. It is the best ever.

    1 egg
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup chopped nuts
    1 cup flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup cooking oil
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon vanilla
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    2 cups raw apples cubed

In one bowl combine Apple and egg. Mix well. Add sugar and oil, stir. Add cinnamon, nuts and vanilla. Stir well. Mix together remaining ingredients then add to apple mixture. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° 40 minutes or until done

It always takes more than 40 minutes when I bake it just FYI

Her secret ingredient was a dash of grandma’s love. You can’t buy that in stores.

Belated damage discovery. Last Tuesday’s 4.7 quake near me DID some damage to me, after all. The 2 piece cement fountain structure in our patio was apparently rocked back and forth and is no longer operable or level. It’s a 2 YOUNG, strong man job to repair and will probably need a new pump. Dang!

    • helenk3 says:

anybody near you that can do that at a reasonable price?

    • Somebody says:

Try tackyl, I recently used them and was pleased, impressed actually. In my case it was just hauling stuff away, but as luck would have it the time selected was during a severe storm. I offered to reschedule, but no they loaded and hauled away massive tree branches during a storm.

They were prompt and thorough, then even tried to sweep up, but I said go, leave, the rain will wash it away. They don’t get paid until the job is complete to your satisfaction. They are licensed (if needed) and have submitted to background checks. My price was good, about $25 more than I would have paid in landfill fees. For me it was worth it, it would have taken most of the day in back and forth trips, plus the sore back. I’m sure they kept most for firewood, maybe even sold it…..more power to them!

If calling oneself a protester endows one with the Right to deprive others of their unalienable Right to Liberty, does it also endow one with the Right to deprive others of their unalienable Right to Life?

From what I can tell, there are no forms to fill out to declare oneself a protester, one just says so, and voila! One has the Right to violate the unalienable Rights of others!

Protester blocking your path? Join the fun and declare yourself to be a protester, too!

“I protest your infringement of my Liberty! I now have the Right to violate your Rights.”

So I’m curious is this name is Romney’s half-ass way of coming out of the closet.

Pierre is Peter…..a more Romneyesque word for sick.

        Delecto means amuse, delight, entice.

So dick delight, dick entice, dick amused? 🤔

Although he could mean it more appropriately as in he’s delighted to be a dick or amused to be a dick.

It’s an interesting choice, perhaps the initials PD mean something to him, maybe Pierre is his secret Mormon name. If he was given that as his secret name, I say the bishops totally got his number years ago 😉 Believable given his father.

My random thoughts to ponder on the “hot” story of the day. Quite frankly I don’t care that he has a secret Twitter, but then again IDGAF about Romney at all. Well I do sometimes have random thoughts about him falling down his car elevator shaft 😜

  37. Dora says:

I thought he left congress to stay home with his wife and help take care of their new baby. I’m confused.

    • Somebody says:

They both started out on reality TV, I think TV gigs is what they’ve always wanted. She has a gig with FNC and most likely made much more than he did. I assume she’ll remain part time and care for their sick child and now it’s his turn to bring home the bacon.

His leaving congress AND his health insurance never made sense with a child on the way with medical problems. I thought maybe there was a scandal somewhere that might cone out, but maybe they just decided politically he didn’t have any upward moves, but he could make bank as a commentator.

  38. helenk3 says:
