LOL, here’s another smiley fun video……when I first posted this on my FB page, my kids thought we got a new dog. Derrrrrrr.

I enjoy watching cheesy Christmas romances.

    • DeniseVB says:

I think the Hallmark Channel had Christmas in July last summer. I skipped it since I knew they’d be cranking up their new movies on Nov 1. I’ll be there !

      • lyn says:

I’m on Netflix, because a friend gave me a gift card. It ends on Dec. 7. Netflix won’t let me put my subscription on hold until the money runs out.

        • DeniseVB says:

I have VerzionFios, dh upgraded to all the sports packages a few years ago, almost $200/month and it’s without premium channels, those are …really…EXtra ? I did find TCM in that clusterfi**k, so not complaining. 😀

          • Somebody says:

We have direct TV with a boatload of channels, all the sports, premium movie channels, etc. I watch HGTV, OANN, FNC and during 🏈 season whatever channel Alabama is broadcast on, plus assorted other college matchups. I don’t watch NFL anymore although I pay to have all the games 🙄

I just don’t watch TV, neither does hubby. The grandkids don’t watch it much either, but by George we can’t cut the cord or scale back because apparently one day we’re going to lounge around and watch TV all day? We need all the channels in the event of a zombie apocalypse? Or more likely, change is difficult 😉

    • Mothy67 says:

I love the 1980s stuff. We had farrah fawcett burning a bed. The Bionic Woman getting the electric chair, phoebe cates asking which of you bitches was my mother, rachel ward sleeping with a priest. Stephanie Powers was on tv.

      • DeniseVB says:

I had CMT on last night, found a cute Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore rom-com movie called “Blended”. Totally enjoyed it 🙂 I decided in 50 years, the Sandler/Barrymore movies will be on TCM, like Doris Day and Rock Hudson are now.

    • lateblum says:

These days (and nights) both Hallmark channels and Lifetime are playing cheesy Christmas movies nearly 24/7. I rewatch some of my faves rom last Christmas. I never watched them until then. But I was so stressed by my bc diagnosis that I just needed something that took me away from it all.

    • John Denney says:

We have bare bones cable bundled with internet access. We’ll watch the evening news, then shove in a DVD that we got from the library or that a friend loaned us. Currently watching the Maigret detective series, a British production, but set in Paris in the 1950s, by the looks of the cars.
Engaging characters and stories, but kinda funny that the Parisians all have British accents and turns of phrase. 🙂

Hillary Clinton Will Likely Join 2020 Race if Biden Drops Out, Claims Former Adviser

  5. DeniseVB says:

I know myiq is going light this week, and why I dropped in. 😉

  6. elliesmom says:

I’m getting my grocery delivery list done for this week, and I was going to throw some candy on it to add to the little toy things I have to give out for Halloween, but I just saw the weather report, and it’s supposed to start raining on Wednesday and not stop until Friday afternoon. If I buy candy, I’ll probably have to eat it myself. I already made myself a pan of brownies. There are times when it’s not a good thing to know how to bake from scratch. No brownie mix in the house is not a problem. I think maybe dinner tonight will be a brownie sundae.

    • 49erDweet says:

      Will any of it freeze?

      • elliesmom says:

I bought these funny little stretchy skeletons, some Halloween bubble wands, and some little tubs of Play Doh to hand out to the kids for Halloween. They’re the equivalent of the stuff you’d get in a Happy Meal, but the bigger kids would rather have candy. I usually get some to add to the pot for them, but the little toys solve the nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free problem so I do more of that stuff. But folks are all over the town’s website asking about postponing trick or treating until Saturday night because it’s supposed to rain on Thursday. I have other plans for Saturday night so if they do it, I won’t be giving out anything. The toys will keep for next year. If it’s raining, and they don’t postpone it, I won’t get a lot of kids. It’s a long walk from the street to my front door in the rain. On a nice night I have a projector that puts funny scary animations on my garage door so the kids get a fun lighted path up the hill, but I won’t set it up in the rain.

        • 49erDweet says:

We’re in one of those neighborhoods where kids get driven in to from poorer neighborhoods, so we can expect a lot of kids, both early and late. When we run out we just turn off all the lights and lock the gate. Darkness seems to discourage the night owls,

          • elliesmom says:

My street is part of a loop that doesn’t go anywhere else so the only traffic is people who live on the loop. It makes it a very safe place to be out walking in the dark. Add to that a lot of people who live on the loop have golf carts they ride around on and make sure the kids are all OK. So a lot of people from other parts of town bring their kids over and drop them off at the beginning of the loop road. If it’s cold, someone will build a fire down on the beach. It’s a fun place to celebrate Halloween, but when you go to the town website and people are complaining about folks not choosing the “right kind” of treats, and people not being understanding enough about the kids “on the spectrum”, and you recognize it as your neighborhood, and the people complaining don’t live here, it kind of sours you. Now they want to move the date because of the weather. I’m not sure how they do that officially. The year we had the blizzard, it was a no-brainer that no would be out trick or treating, but it was a surprise when kids starting showing up the following weekend. No one was prepared for it.

          • 49erDweet says:

LOL. “Right kind of treats”. That’d cause me to lock up off right after the neighborhood kids came (and they’re always in the early batch).

Clinton’s not one to waste the political opportunity of a funeral

Is there anything these people won’t shamelessly exploit in pursuit of political power? Literally nothing.

It has become a sad routine to watch politicians salivate over violent carnage in America in order to push their bizarre agenda of depriving citizens of their right to protect themselves, their families and their neighbors — from exactly the violent carnage they claim to cry about.

        Is Obama the new Caliph?

        • DeniseVB says:

Didn’t Glenn Beck predict that after Obama was first elected? I remember his chalk boards and linking BO to all the evil people in the world who hate America. Now that doesn’t seem so crazy. Hmmm?

          • cynic says:

There had been quite a bit of linking to a Glen Beck episode on the Ukraine where he brought in the blackboard. Boy, I sure did enjoy those episodes when he was on FOX. The episode is an hour long, but he connects the dots. Guess what, Spooky Dude’s included as well. I’ve just gotta ask, isn’t Soros always involved? He funds sooooo many orgs!

          • DeniseVB says:

Beck was called a derranged conspiracy nutjob, turns out he was right. 😀

  21. DeniseVB says:

In case you were wondering why Laura Ingraham was trending this morning and the lefty knives are out for her….again. Yawn…..

    • elliesmom says:

I can always tell which folks on Fox are getting under the left’s skin by which personalities my brother reacts to with, “Tell me you don’t listen to ——“. The only one I watch on a regular basis is Tucker Carlson. When I got the “but you don’t listen to Tucker, right” from my brother, I asked him if he would listen to Tucker if he was on CNN. His answer was “CNN would never hire Tucker Carlson”. He was shocked to find out Carlson was a host on CNN for 5 or 6 years. Which is where I first noticed him on Crossfire. Laura Ingraham is my brother’s latest Fox “bogeyman” so she must be hitting the right marks. Hannity must be off his game because little bro hasn’t railed against him lately.

      • DeniseVB says:

I remember Crossfire, Tucker was the “conservative” voice on that show. I remember when Hillary’s book came out, he said if she sells more than 100(?) copies I’ll eat my shoe. A few weeks later, Hillary surprised him on the show with a Shoe made out of cake 😀

    • Somebody says:

I wonder if the colonel filed the proper FARA paperwork? He’d need to since he was advising Ukraine apparently while also serving on the NSC as an active duty military officer 🤔🤔

Perhaps the Pentagon and DOJ should investigate this. I highly doubt a FARA application would have been approved. I wonder are any other members of the NSC routinely advising other countries? Have they advised other countries at all? Do any of them advise China? Iran? Russia? I don’t even want any of them advising our allies, that’s not their job.

Some bitch called Melania a witch on Facebook. The assholes even poop on the Trumps’ Halloween posts.

      • DeniseVB says:

I just block those because I know my response will get me reported. It’s how they bait the right. It doesn’t have to be a TOSable offense either, they know just filing a report gets you thrown off for about 24 hours while they “review”. Twitter and Facebook still don’t understand their troll problem comes from the left. I wish they’d both go to the “flag” system Discus has. Those are public.

        • lyn says:

          That’s a good idea. I won’t feed the trolls. I hate ’em.

          • DeniseVB says:

FB makes it so darn hard to block with like a multiple-step program, and when you’re done they send you back to your home page. At least Twitter just has block button and you’re done 🙂

        • lateblum says:

I have blocked some people on Twitter, but mostly I mute them because it tickles me to see others respond to these dummies and my name is included. Those idiots just keep tweeting their dumbness out for all too read. And if I want, I can always see the tweet without having to unblock or unmute.

Yesterday Chicago’s superintendent of police, Eddie Johnson, tweeted something about Chicago has 17 neighborhoods that are “safer than NYC and LA”. This was to defend against PDJT saying Chicago is a dangerous place. The interesting thing about his “brag” is that Chicago has 58 neighborhoods. Does this mean that 41 neighborhoods are paces of danger?
