Now in all fairness, many of the people filling those seats at the World Series games in D.C. and booing were not really baseball fans or National fans. They bought tickets to be seen as being able to afford them and offering them as perks to staff.
The fans are the ones who showed up hours beforehand this morning to see them from the lawn of the White House.
Scuttlebutt is when they were invited that they asked for the visit to be ASAP before the swampy naysayers ruined it for the majority of the team.
Yes ! Most serious baseball fans will root for the underdog in the series if their home team lost (cough, Yankees, cough). And just like that, when The Donald was booed the other night, Meh, Game 7 became the lowest rated tv world series ever, we stopped caring. We stopped caring.

The woman walked me to my station and the questions began. Does anyone bother you. Have you been threatened. You are so brave. Says she wouldn’t and she carries a gun. Very attractive adult woman. Not much conflict. The homeless will engage me. I always offer what I can do right now for the chronic homeless riddled with drugs. I will get you a bed in a detox, I will guide you through medicaid, inpatient/outpatient, supportive living, but we go NOW. I think in the 13 years I have been in Pittsburgh I have had two women accept the offer and both had been to rehab and failed. They were ashamed to try again. They’d rather wait and do forced detox via jail. I am no preacher man. I almost never speak of my Faith. I grew up very Catholic. I told both women who were reluctant to try again that I know this dude who stumbled at least three times when he had an impossible burden to bear. He even needed some help from Matt, Mark, and Luke. Simon might have chipped in. The trollop stood by him and I am told a hot chick named Veronica wiped his sweat. It’s about a 20 minute walk from my bus stop to Mercy Hospital. Takes a lot of courage to walk in to the ER and say I need help —again. Dwayne was trying to get into rehab. A 90 day Salvation Army program. They use RET/REBT (rational emotive behavioral therapy) I happened to be there dropping off shaypup’s outgrown things. Dwayne was 52. He could not read. RET requires you complete booklets on things like shame and how it fuels addiction. Dwayne was desperate. His identical twin had committed suicide. They had lived in the drug world their entire lives. They were post 50. Life was over as he knew it. Younger people had replaced him on the street.
I said I’ll teach him to read. He can read. He can fill out an application and has a decent job. Teaching him to read was like doing the Sunday New York Times puzzle. You figure out the theme and it all falls into place. I had to see what he was seeing. The PLUS stuff came in handy once he was at a 5th grade level, but even then I found it bizarre. I wanted to teach him how to open a bank account or order food not have him digest Ullysess. Predicate nominative my arse.
I kid you not the “free” tools for helping adults learn to read are laden with the rulz.

I heard on the radio Sonland revised his testimony this afternoon shortly after the original was released. Now that he’s not under oath he remembers telling Zelensky no aid until public announcement of investigations. How in the hell did that slip his mind?
