I just shaved. I forget that I used to breathe out of a hole in my throat. It was 1970 so it is easyto half remember. The scar is big but nothing compared to my chest. They used a new wire. It was so much fun. The wires broke through my skin. Ripped me apart. Try waking up your mom when you are Frankenstein. I was too sick to get my sternum fixed so I have a chest that is one inch higher on one side. I was gifted a set of baby blues and a face that Liz Taylor said looked like Monty. I have had a great life. Like amazing gifts. Leanna was twirling her hair as she told me she was okay. I twirled my hair when I was sick. Self comfort. I said it is fine Leah if you are not okay. She cried this a.m. I said this is how we start making it better. I would take every bad thing again ten times if I am permitted such grace. Remember I am gay who had a deacon dad. My parents did not talk to me for 25 years. Yet they built me.

I hope she can begin the path out of the abuse cycle, and you are a knight in shining armour for helping, and defending.🛡

And absolutely you did not insult me, It’s my fault, I should have said something sooner. I am just concerned one of my kids will come across something I wrote, about their father.

Not that they don’t know, they have had plenty of experience with him through the years. I just don’t want them coming across some random thing I wrote, about their father.
But abused women need to hear from people who have escaped from that cycle.

And they need lots of support. Maybe individual counseling, maybe even a group, whatever works, it could save her life. My ex was a big guy, he could have done some serious damage, if I had stayed, but I knew, something deep inside me knew, three days after he was gone, that I was never going back. People said to me “oh, you will take him back”. But I knew better. I knew as well as I know now, decades later, I was never going back, or taking him back, and I never did. I knew it then.

I really hope Leah can turn it around. For her own sake, because next time he might kill her, and for her daughter’s sake. They deserve a life without abuse.

I went about halfway down Cape Cod today on the Mid-Cape highway. Every 10 miles or so there’s what folks in Massachusetts call a rotary. You might call them a traffic circle or a roundabout or maybe something else. This afternoon each circle was lined with people waving flags and holding up big Trump signs. About 200 people at each one. I went around three of them. I don’t know if it continued all the way to Provincetown. People driving around the rotaries were honking and waving. It was cold and windy today. This is in Massachusetts. Let that sink in. 🙂

It feels good to have stood with him for these long three years. I will not deny that being labeled racist was a tough pill. I am not allowed in most gay bars because of a hat!! You have to be combat ready at any point. My BFF finally read Flannery O’Connor’s “Good Country People”. She has admitted I am smarter than Donna Brazille. Her hubby was gonna run against Moseley in Baltimore I said wait a change is coming. It will take time but run from the dimocrats. They are toxic and they are consuming themselves. I see a complete collapse. I have seen a complete collapse on the horizon since 2008. It was winter for many of us for 12 years, but the walk away seed was planted for me by Sara Palin. I had college friends call me racist. White people born with silver spoons tell me I am racist. They attended all white schools??? My god parents are from Puerto Rico. When I was a kid my mom got 5 minutes on the hour when I spent six monthsin ICU. Big fat black woman held me every night. It was 1970 rules were different. I am so blessed my mom never left the hospital she stayed for those 300 seconds. I was given a 1% chance. I have died. I am 53 and my didactic crazy bitch drop out in 10th grade mom became a nurse and then an executive. But yeah I am a racist because I cannot speak proggie pollution. So…. “I’m moving forward with my balanced budget proposal and infrastructure ideas and I sincerely invite the Democrats to join forces for a positive outcome for our great nation.” Or some such thing, then claim with the sincerity of a kindergartener that you apologized and meant it.

I think pete butt could get a lot of votes here if he makes it past super tuesday. Not unlike obama A guilt vote. I have 13 aunts I can see them voting gay because the world was different in 1983. I get along wonderfully with my extended family NOW. Was not so easy 37 years ago. Does anyone in 2020 not have a gay friend or relative? It isn’t even interesting any more. No one cares but I can see my family voting for peter to prove they are evolved. My nieces and nephews have always known. It is a non issue. A few months ago Seth told all the parents he was gay. I said Shay why is he lying. He must have caught the pilot episode of Three’s Company. He wants to hang out in girl’s bedrooms and he can because he tell’s people he is gay. He even told his parents. He is funny. He tells everyone. He is not. Just Seth being Seth.
I do wish more people got the small school experience. I have known all these kid since kindergarten when we all waited at the door. I have walked many a brat home. I see them at the store and I pull out my Roseanne voice— knock it off. They listen. I am TT. They see me as the guy who says I am refusing to buy pizza but of course I buy pizza. I buy lots of pizza. Taw is going to have to look out for me when I become homeless. My retirement is dwindling. I get the brat through college and then I am going to live in a tent and only eat gyros. Joking aside I would love to live on the beach and I love gyro sauce. I am so sick of owning a home. There is always something. I am giving it to Shayla when she graduates from high school. I do not want it. I hate it. Dishwasher, hot water tank, kitchen faucet. i have a tiny mortgage but still pay 9 thousand a year in taxes. I am so giving it to shay. Three point five bathrooms a basement apartment. She will get at least 350. Hers. I do not want it. I want to live in a tent on a beach and steal gyro sauce from Taw.

There are plenty of Democrats who won’t vote for Pete because he’s gay. For one thing, there’s a lot of anti-gay feeling in Black churches. I maintain that Biden has the best chance of the Democrat lineup to beat Trump. Sanders has the Bernie bros, but his ideas make the mainstream nervous. Biden is the safe candidate, depending on who he picks for VP.

      • lateblum says:

You might be right. Last night I was at a party where all of the guests (except me, of course) were entrenched Democrats who all agreed “Biden is done” and “Bloomberg is the one”. they were so violent in their statements about PDJT and every one of his cabinet members – individually and by name – that it was frightening.
I didn’t argue back. I just said I disagreed with some of what they said. That shut them up long enough for them to glare at me.

      • Constance says:

I think the Democrat party is seriously divided. They should have had a serious shake out after the 2016 loss instead they engaged in mass delusion of seeing Russians behind every tree. The best thing for the party is to run Sanders, let him and the Socialists get their asses kicked and then purge their party and try to make a comeback in 2024. They also need to dump their old farts like Biden and Nancy and have some fresh blood.

Republicans need to start a coordinated effort to mock the virtue signaling, luxury beliefs and elitist arrogance of Progressive Democrats.

Crazy shit…I recently talked to a couple of former work associates that I hadn’t seen for a couple of years. I didn’t know their politics but if pressed, I would have assumed they were center/right. One woman said she was building a new house and I asked how it was going. “Major problems with the builder but the worst thing is that POS Trump is still President”. The second woman was dying in the hospital but major concern was Trump was President. These were 60 and 70 year old rural women, made me wonder if on-line confirmation bias was distorting my perception of what the HELL is going on.

          • SHV says:

And I shouldn’t forget my 85 year old sister who lives in rural Southern Md., whose hatred of Trump makes ANTIFA seem rational. Crazy shit.

          • swanspirit says:

I think some people who were convinced early on that “Orange man bad” are entrenched in their beliefs. I have elderly next door neighbors, just like that. They hate Trump. He grabs pussies, he’s rude, crude and just all around baaad. They can’t be persuaded otherwise. Many of them are in for a rude awakening, when they get a chance to observe the Dim candidates, a little closer. Like the Democratic woman in Iowa who didn’t know Butthead was gay. This Presidential campaign is going to get interesting.
But there are many who are open to reality, who are changing their minds.

I had an interesting conversation with my very liberal daughter yesterday. She said “people like you don’t care about people who prefer to be homeless”. I asked her if she’d support a law that made living on the street illegal. Let the the police pick them up and force them into shelters? Of course not. They have rights. I replied to her, “Then there is no solution to the homelessness of people who choose to be. We’ve accepted their lifestyle. We can only clean up after them. People like me understand we have limited resources. Since I can’t do anything about someone who is homeless by choice that would be accepted by you, I choose to not butt my head up against a wall.” She replied we could supply food and a warm place to sleep. I said that was called “a place to live”. She changed the subject.

    • Somebody says:

How would she feel if her children had to walk in human feces and urine or used needles? If they couldn’t go outside or to the park because of the homeless. What if medieval diseases were rampant right outside her home?

It’s the same old, same old. Where do one person’s rights end and another’s begin? Whose rights are more important, etc., etc.

    • Miranda says:

“don’t care about people who prefer to be homeless”
My response to that would have been ‘you’re right’. I don’t want to subsidize anyone’s lifestyle and that includes preferred homelessness. If they’re homeless due to a condition (mental illness, escape from domestic violence, addiction), I support efforts to help fix the condition, so the people can resume life as productive and happy members of society.

And I only support those efforts to a point. The person has to want to put in the work, not just take the handouts and continue the behavior. In the case of mental illness, that means taking the meds and doing the therapy.

  35. swanspirit says:

At first, I thought it was fake news, or a joke, or a meme, but the stupid Dims actually did ask social media to REMOVE the video of Nanzi tearing up the SOTU speech.
How stupid can they get? ( I should ‘nt ask that, I know, right?! 😎)
But they did. And social media responded.

Facebook’s response: “Sorry, are you suggesting the President didn’t make those remarks and the Speaker didn’t rip the speech?”

And that demonstrates quite clearly, one of the main problems of the Dims. They really are stupid.

To be more precise, they are nowhere near as smart as they think they are, and a great deal less than the people they are happy to belittle, denigrate, and hope to have power over. The days of people thinking they are smart, are rapidly changing.

Nanzi and her ridiculous speech tearing is a perfect example. What did she think would happen?
That she wouldn’t look ridiculous, angry and inappropriate? She didn’t think it through. After all this time, she didn’t realize it would be used against her?
The Dims are sadly stupid, and way out of touch, with people. And they aren’t getting any smarter.

    • Anthony says:

Stupid? or Entitled? I can’t make up my mind lol. For YEARS – perhaps decades – the MSM and social media has been catering to the Dems, kissing their asses and distributing their talking points while blindly supporting their agenda. Now, the shoe may be on the other foot.

Despite almost 100% negative coverage since PDJT’s inauguration, social media has been suspending, cancelling, and harassing accounts that support Trump. I think that the Iowa results woke a lot of people up, and they sense the indignation and anger of the electorate they so freely disdain. If they don’t ‘rule’ over their followers even handedly, they stand to lose members and revenue.

I don’t believe for one minute they’re going to support Trump any more than they did in the past, but like all rats, when the ship is sinking, they jump. They’re abandoning the Democrat ship of state to save their own asses. Nothing more, nothing less.

Both, Anthony! Stupid enough to think they are entitled. 😁 You are correct on both!

      • lateblum says:

What i noticed last night was the arrogance of people thinking they were so much smarter and brighter and concerned and wiser than the people they were talking about / condemning. In fact, they actually blamed “blacks who stayed home” and “people who voted for Jill Stein”. They did, at one point, say that HRC was a “terrible candidate”and that she should never run again. But they also said that even those who “couldn’t stand Hillary” should have just “held their noses and voted for her anyway” like they did.
Interestingly one of the guests said that the Dems had really no one to blame but themselves because they had “abandoned” Blacks and working people for the wealthy and powerful.
The consensus was that it would go to a brokered convention and someone – not currently in play – would end up being selected. No one expected it to be MO or HRC.

I did two weeks at Bellview, three weeks at a crisis center, and 30 days rehab followed by 9 months in a half way house. i was not hearing voices or cutting myself. Just dumb luck getting caught outside a psych hospital on drugs. I learned quite a few things. I have several friends that have MSW’s. They are clueless. I try and talk with them saying I have literally been there. Like nearly a year of there. They know better than me because of an M before the SW. I had to phone the police several times about bodies. For real kids who were on the needle. They clean up and then try to do what they did when they were active. They often OD because their bodies can’t take a hot shot. 12 Steps has its place but it is not the end all. i could go on for days about what I saw. The biggest issue was a comingling. Judges were sending low level criminals to psych wards. I was one of them. It is a scam. Like an SVU story scam. imagine the money. I lived in a house with 11 guys. We had to put quarters in to use the phone or do laundry. They charged for everything. We rode in a prison van to group. It was always cold. The “therapy” was AA meeting, small group, then NA meeting. They billed the state 500 a person per day. There were at least 100 of us. There was no real treatment. The counselors had certificates from community college. One afternoon my professional was going on and on about The Agony and the Ecstasy. I had hit my boiling point. He was making stuff up about how this dude fought addiction. I was like no you ass wipe it . Its a story about Michelangelo not scoring dope on Avenue B. I think treatment is always better than incarceration, but the places need to be run well. I saw a lot of death. There were some who had very real bio chemical issues you cannot medicate and turn away after writing a script. Bi polar people need to be watched. I talk a lot to shay about drugs and good decisions.
