Death of a Family

I really don’t want to have to write this story, but I do have to write it. I want you to know about another path Democrats chose to exploit during this election. I speak of Disinformation and Social Media Priming. It may not  seem like it’s that big to you, but I promise you it fueled the riots and it fueled many individuals to think that breaking electoral law was okay, because they had moral certainty on their side.

Do you remember the lynch mobs that were circulating on campuses a few years ago confronting professors, and the professors suddenly started caring about free speech? Yep—this shitshow was planned that far back. We now live in a country where a sizable portion of regular citizens are like these college students and can be prompted or primed to riot and break the law because of what they read on social media.

Our story begins a couple of months ago during the Breonna Taylor riots. My family is from Louisville, and I know it well. It surprised me 0% to find that LMPD narcotics detectives had bungled a search warrant so bad that someone died. They are notable in Louisville for corruption and depravity in their ranks. My sister and I had been talking for months, and I thought for a minute that we had made some progress in both agreeing on that and that the woke were racists. Then she started complaining that she could not put down her phone. She said she was on FB all the time following all these BLM pages.

She talked about this a lot in our conversations. She seemed to know her own behavior was bizarre and out of control, but she said couldn’t stop. At some point she got mad at me for telling her to manage her expectations, because the riots were having an impact. At this moment she chose to lash out in anger and tell me that my mother and my former-violent-felon brother-in-law were at the County Clerk’s office voting. She declared she didn’t care that it was illegal, and they had done it in 2008 too. Oh, and my BIL has been diagnosed with dementia and cognitive dysfunction. Almost forgot that salient point. I asked her if my mom knew it was illegal. She said she did, and she felt the same. My mom voted for Trump in 2016, ftr. Crawled over glass to do it, too. But she’s lived with my sister for two years and they are both very different than I knew them to be.

My sister’s disclosure put me at a serious familial disadvantage. My family has thrived on negativity and destruction precisely because they try to lock people down with secrets. They use secrets to choke off any health and wholesomeness that might grow in one of us. Those who know my history here know that I am on record as saying I would not be keeping any more family secrets after I learned that my “father” was not my father in 2019.

In that moment of disclosure, my sister put another secret on me and dared me to tell AGAIN. She tried to trap me in a choice of “Report us and blow up the family, or eat more poison and STFU like the dirt you are.” I chose a different path. I chose to see her disclosure as blowing the family up, and I cut her, my mom and BIL off entirely. I burned the bridge on the way out and the flammant was stone cold truth. And I chose not to tell the police because I’m not about revenge. I have no desire to see my frail sib, her partner, or my elderly mother go to jail.

Here’s the fucked up thing about my brother-in-law’s particular situation: My brother-in-law could have, for free, petitioned the governor to restore his voting rights, and Andy Beshear certainly would have. Though BIL’s felonies were violent because he used a weapon, no one was hurt, he served all his time, and hasn’t been in trouble with the law for 20 years. Instead of taking this legal route, they chose to think their moral authority compelled them to act illegally. They weren’t even interested in finding out if legal routes were available to them. This is normal to many, many Americans now.

That’s the direction we’re going in, and why this election still matters. Add the millions of little stories like my sister’s to at least six blue urban areas run by people fueled the same way, the national and much of the regional media fueled the same way, all justifying their cheating because they believe they are morally certain of their cause and equally convinced with no evidence whatsoever that the other side is evil. They will live their whole lives that way if nothing is done, just as my sister has spent all of hers leeching off the system through childbirth and welfare, and later, disability payments (ha! She never worked!).

Disinformation and Priming are the gateways to the new welfare plantation, and it’s turning our country into zombies in wide swaths.

Stories like my family’s have happened all over and many thousands will not be able to hold their tongues, just as my sister could not. The family member(s) who hears them won’t have the family dysfunction destruction background my family has, so it won’t be so easy for them to walk away. Family is the central institution in every civilization, and few can survive without one. The desire for connections to one’s children, sibs, and parents in particular is strong. At least I don’t have to give up my child just yet. With this unchecked, unregulated marketplace, I might in future.

It was easy for me to say enough. My family has been violently batshit crazy for my entire life and I’ve always been their favorite punching bag. I’m officially an orphan now. My family died in the 2020 Elections. I know it’s going to be awkward in heaven, but I’m prepared to tell Jesus he can fuck off if he wants unity. Not gonna happen. But I doubt many others can do that. They won’t have near the justification that I have. They can know that when they engage social media, this is what they’re engaging. This the poison they invite into their homes.

#DeleteYourAccounts or continue to pay the price, y’all. That’s all I’m saying. This is an open thread.

  1. I can identify with so much here. Stay sane.

  2. ginainmo says:

Have you watched The Social Dilemma on Netflix? It was eye opening.

I am wrestling with giving up my addiction to social media.

    • lateblum says:

      Good luck!
At my daughter’s insistence, I just watched it and am going to watch it again. Giving up my own addiction to social media (Twitter) will be difficult. I hope I can do it.

      • lyn5 says:

Giving up Twitter is easy. I like peeking there. I gave it up before Trump was elected.

      • lyn5 says:

P.S. My lefty friend gave me two $25 Netflix cards for my b-day. Ugg. I do like the Christmas movies on Netflix. Is The Crown season 4 out yet?

        • Woke Lola says:

It’s coming out November 22nd. I do plan to pick up Netflix again for one month to watch that, but I’m cancelling it right after.

          • lateblum says:

Thanks, Lola. I’m also looking forward to watching “Virgin River” season2 which also starts at the end of November. I know it’s a tad melodramatic, but I love the actors and the writing is only half bad.

        • lateblum says:

O crap! Did I miss your birthday again????
Shoot me now! I am sorry. I hope it was wonderful!

      • votermom says:

One thing is – don’t use social media apps on your phone
        Use their websites instead
Apps are where most of the data collection and notification addiction happens

        • Woke Lola says:

This is very true. That’s where I started. I deleted all SM apps and anything else that looked threatening and reset my phone. I plan to jailbreak it eventually to block all the bloatware data collection and then I will break the access to Google I have. I also deleted my FB and Instagram accounts. Fuck Phuckerberg. Twitter had already suspended me. I have a backup account and it’s very controlled environment in which I block a lot of assholes (including Dead Man Walking and Cuntala).

It was in fact the practice of randomly and consistently blocking leftists and the press on Twitter that I first noticed the uniformity and repetition of messaging. I started in August. I would be blocking literally hundreds of accounts of a day using the exact same language in every tweet. If you aren’t convinced, I would invite you to go robo-blocking on Twitter and see what uniformity you find. I just go down any thread from Trump or any of his famous supports and block, block, block. Twitter puts no limit on the amount of blocks you can hand out in a day–a critical error they will soon correct, I’m sure. It can teach you A LOT.

I also block any traitorous politicians (which is all Democrats and half the GOP), any acceptors of the results, and every single MSM account I see retweeted. I will literally stop surfing when I see a Rake Trapper or Maggot Habershuckster tweet retweeted just to block them. Some of them become #BlockStars

        • 1539days says:

I just deleted Twitter from my phone. Didn’t use it much, anyway.

    • votermom says:

Watched Social Dilemma – the first 2/3 is good, then they try to say – beware alt right LOL

      But yeah – scary

      • Woke Lola says:

I noticed that too. That’s a new model I’ve noticed in a lot of new Woke productions. I had to cancel Netflix over that bullshit.

Remember HBO’s Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered that came out earlier this year? That also fit the design. That was five episodes, and in the first three they seemed to be objectively pursuing the story on the ground, from witnesses at the time. Then all the sudden in episode four they went waaaaaay off the reservations alleging the KKK was responsible for killing these children and that the prosecution of Wayne Williams was just more evidence that the white supremacy led police apparatus, even at the national level, was prosecuting another brother. Seriously.

This is how they drag you in now. It’s all perfectly reasonable until it isn’t, and many cross that line without observing it because of the video narrative platform. It’s every venue and platform. The Netflix revolution let them in, just as the Social Media revolution let that trash in.

    • Woke Lola says:

Yes, I have. I saw this dynamic developing in 2016. I had a 17 year old foster youth on my caseload who literally could not finish a single day of school due to constant gaslighting on social media. She got violent when you suggested she didn’t need a phone at school. It’s really sad when you can imprison people in their own minds and they don’t even know it.

      • Constance says:

I see it as an addiction like any other addiction. You tune in to MSNBC or social media, you get your hit of outrage which pushes extreme hormones you wouldn’t usually have on a daily basis and it is a rush. But they wear off and you can’t get them in real life. You do it again and again and you are always rewarded with a rush. Like all addictions the people become less and less able to deal with real life as their search for a hormone rush takes over. But it takes it’s toll. Look at how haggard the Lib talking heads look. Some of the FOX talking heads are looking bad recently too. Association with evil and addiction will do that to you. You can spot them on the street before they even talk by their strung out look. Like all addicts.

    • Woke Lola says:

Thanks. I’m not sad. I’m ffffffffrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! It actually feels a lot less sad than I thought it would be. I guess that 18 months of prep since getting back my 23AndMe test was good for me. I should have walked away at age 13. That’s the first time I knew, and why I ran away and got right on the first 18 wheeler to stop and left the state. I was always the sane one.

      • votermom says:

        You *are* free!
And creating your own beautiful family with love, integrity, and courage.

      • Constance says:

Just throwing this out there. My sister, cousin and I did 23 and me. Through that my sister was contacted by 2 people who found out they were related to us and not related to who they thought was their family. My sister and several cousins have formed internet relationships with our new family members. I hear about it but no one has contacted me yet. I must have some contact setting turned off. Everyone is pretty excited.

  3. swanspirit says:

That is quite a story, thank you for telling it. It could not have been easy. ❤
I am extremely fortunate, in that my closest family, my children, are functioning in reality. My daughter volunteered to be an election supervisor, for two days in Frederick. She thought it would be a positive experience. She was close to traumatized afterward. She said she could not count the number of people who asked her what ELECTION they were voting in.
My bother and sister, who live in Baltimore, both voted for Biden. My brother said, “He’s a nice man” They have both been led down the garden path by the media.
We have a society that believes the laws only apply to some people, and some of the time to others.
We had a lawless president, for 8 years, who modeled selective application of the laws, and weaponizing others.

  4. votermom says:

The first day of the Novena for our Nation focuses on “Fear of the Lord”

that is sadly missing from the Left

  5. Miranda says:

I’m glad you’re handling your extrication from your family, Lola. I hope you continue to stay in a good space. I’m working on reducing my social media interactions as well. I got way too involved with this election. I was physically sick to my stomach with many, unpleasant symptoms for over a week.

  6. lyn5 says:

The truth set you free, Lola. ❤

  7. votermom says:

    Mofo openly threatening now

  8. Constance says:

Wow. Those are very clear and accurate observations and you were able to get them down in print. Most people wouldn’t know what they were feeling, other than angst, and few can put feelings to words.

The only thing I would comment is relative to “But I doubt many others can do that. They won’t have near the justification that I have.” I think many others can feel intuitively and on some primal level that something is “off” in family and friendships, some hypnotic poison, but they are not articulate enough to nail what it is. Just because people don’t or can’t verbalize a feeling doesn’t mean they don’t feel it and act to avoid the evil. So there is good reason for hope (I know the Obots dirtied that word)

I have been on Parler this weekend which is free speech and does not force narratives (yet) and they had 2 million new users in one day. Also Gab had 10,000 new users over night. Gab made it possible for non members to use the “Stop the Steal” page for pro Trump organization after Twitter and Facebook shut them down. I’ve talked to 4 people who are preparing to dump FB (copying photos, etc.) There is a shift going on.

    • Woke Lola says:

Thank you, Constance. Those are very kind comments and I appreciate them.

I hear you on Parler, et al but none of that is for me. I’m literally in the process of forging a new identity, and I need less entertainment, not more. I want to focus on what I’m thinking about when I’m free of all constraints, including algorithms. Algorithms are evil. My time even here is limited.

  9. elliesmom says:

For some us it wouldn’t be healthy to leave social media at this point. The feardemic has left us pretty isolated without it. I could go for days and days without contact with another human when the cold weather hits. That’s not healthy, either. I’ve never been active on Twitter. I don’t do much in the way of politics on FB. It’s my connection to my family, old friends in real life, and other folks who like to cook, sew, and knit. If those people pack up and go somewhere else, I’d go, too, but if they’re on FB, then I’ll hang around for those things.

I posted a link over the weekend to a Scott Adams video. He did an analysis of the current situation that’s the kind of thing ED did.

    1) Do the Democrats have a motive for what they’ve been doing the last four years?
If you really believe Trump is “Hitler”, then pretty anything you do to get rid of him is justified. Many, many people in this country have bought into Trump is evil, and the people who vote for him and support him have been sucked in. They really do feel morally justified in doing whatever it takes to get rid of him. The truth is most people would agree stopping Hitler would justify any means. The difference is not in the behavior. It’s that millions of other people don’t believe Trump is evil. Folks who would never sanction the bullying, the cheating, and the violence would sanction doing them if the target was Hitler and the Nazis. So that’s why Trump is Hitler was chosen. It provides the motive.

    2) Are there people who will lie, cheat, and steal to get rid of Trump?
You don’t need 100% of the people to be willing to steal an election. There are only a few places you have to target. When people would get angry at me for not being upset when I had students who refused to accept evolution, I’d say we don’t need everyone to believe it. Just enough evolutionary biologists to get the research done that relies on it. If the rest of the people learn about it and reject it, it’s OK. They’ve been taught about what it is. They aren’t ignorant. Five percent of Democrats willing to cheat at an election is enough if you get the right 5%.

    3) Would the Democrats believe they could get away with it?
Why wouldn’t they? They’ve been cheating in elections for years. Just not on this big a scale.

The motive, the means, and the opportunities are all there. So the cheating is not only possible, it’s probable.

So what needs to happen? Right now the folks on the left believe they’re the good guys, and the folks on the right are the bad guys. To stop the madness that goes far deeper than a stolen election, not only does Trump have to win the battle, he has to do it in a way the 95% of the people who wouldn’t lie, cheat, or steal an election realize it’s their side that’s the bad guys. Those of us who are emotionally vulnerable right now can step back, and that’s OK because we don’t need to have 100% participation in the take down, either. ❤

    • Woke Lola says:

EM, point taken on your situation with social media. And much love to you. I do miss you on FB.

And social media is not useless. I could see where I would use it again for professional reasons. It really did kind of hurt me to delete my Instagram account, but Phuckerberg owns them, and he needs pain right now. A lot of it. I’m doing my part.

I also agree with your analysis, especially at the end. Yeah, yeah, yeah, on MMO, but that’s a criminal focus and we’re not there yet. Trump’s chances hinge on regulatory issues that will involve multiple jurisdictions in civil matters, and the focus will be Constitutional and Data Analytical to process through the appropriate channels, namely SCOTUS. Criminal prosecutions will come later. Then MMO will become important and I would bet RICO will be the frame there so that it’s federal prosecutions. IF we get there.

I do agree we step back and let Trump and his team do their thing, and have faith. I’ve not consumed a drop of news since Tuesday, November 4th, and I won’t until there’s an outcome. And it is not over until the votes are certified and all legal remedies pursued with findings.

      • foxyladi14 says:

        I agree.
Keep fighting people, don’t take your Trump signs down and keep demanding action from state politicians. Overwhelm them with demands for transparency and let them know we aren’t a bunch of dopes and we are not going to take this BS

    • Constance says:

Regarding #1. I have no respect for people who just believe Trump is Hitler and so they are justified in their evil behavior. That is just the excuse they use. They are determined to be ignorant of reality so they can be part of the “In crowd”. Remember that song. “I’m in with the IN Crowd, I go where the IN Crowd goes. I’m in with the IN Crowd, I know what the IN Crowd knows. They are stupid sheep. Deliberately ignorant of reality. I also think it is fine that they mostly choose to abort their offspring. It can’t help but improve the gene pool.

The betting odds on Trump to be inaugurated are 10:1. The guys just threw down a bunch more money on Trump. We know he’s go balls of steel.

  13. DandyTIger says:

Sad but not shocked at your story Woke Lola. The brainwashing that Trump and supporters are literally hitler as been really successful. And in those conditions, doing anything to stop “hitler” makes sense to many. I worry that we’ll never recover from this. And I’m really angry that the left/media complex has sowed this hate for short term political reasons.

Hi guys! I am ok. We had tons of rain Fri night through Sun morning. The rest of the day sporadic rain. We lucked out, most of the storm was above the center so we had already had our share. The core passed the Keys above us Sunday midnight, we hardly had any wind. Key Largo all the way through Ft Lauderdale got pounded with 10-20” of rain in some locations and up to 65 mph winds. They have lots and lots of flooded streets, like a river! Now today, we are once again getting some windy weather and rain bands as ETA pulls away, it is such a big storm. I hope we get some sunshine tomorrow!

      • Mt.Laurel says:

Was glad to see ETA could not find enough booze to strengthen to hurricane levels over the keys but she is dedicated in her search. I see they are now showing her looking toward Tallahassee.

{{{{{Lola}}}}} I grew up in a “toxic” family, if you’ve ever seen the movie/read the book The Great Santini, toxic. I think they jail those kind of dads now? 😀 Then I read Terrence Williams’ book and felt lucky, guess it could have been worse.

As annoying as social media can be, I have you guys 🙂 I just try not to take myself so seriously on Twitter and FB, so far so good. I have family members and old high school friends with TDS, which makes them stupid, not me 😛 I think the Biden worship is going to be worse to tolerate because he’s so g.d. dull and ignorantly out of touch. I’ll probably just flick them off my timeline with a unfollow but stay friends so I can stalk them later , heh.

I need a Dan Bongino rant now and then too. I still choose to be inspired by our fellow Trumpys and not about to let the domestic terrorists win !
