Someone whose user name is “vietcargo” decided to buy a case of Crest toothpaste using a Walmart account of mine that hasn’t been active for 8 years. The Visa card on the account hasn’t been valid for several years. I used to take photos of my grandson’s soccer team, and I used Walmart’s photo services to print enlargements for the parents. Walmart declined the sale because the card wouldn’t go through so “vietcargo” kept trying to resend the order. I got several emails from Walmart overnight telling me I needed to use a different payment method. Eventually, vietcargo changed the password on the account so I got an email telling me there had been a change to my account. To get into the account I needed a new password, but Walmart wouldn’t give me one without sending me a text message to you guessed it, a cellphone I no longer have. If I could have cancelled the account myself, I would have let the whole thing go. I wasn’t harmed in anyway, and I just wasn’t in the mood to spend an hour on the phone with Walmart. But because the dumbass changed the password, I had to call Walmart Fraud Department to cancel the account. Because this was an order to be delivered, Walmart had access to vietcargo’s real name and address, or someone vietcargo knows well enough to send a case of toothpaste. The Fraud Squad is hot on her tail. Walmart closed the account for me in a couple of seconds once I got the right person on the phone. The person at Walmart and I shared a laugh about vietcargo probably being a person who tries to vote more than once, too. He was in Texas.

    Guy Benson:

As analysts begin to pore over the results of the 2020 presidential election, it’s quite clear that pollsters got some things very wrong this cycle, yet again. This was particularly true in the race for control of the US House of Representatives, which all the experts saw as a slam dunk for Democrats to expand their majority — and not without reason. As we’ve noted elsewhere, district-level polling was pretty rough for the GOP, causing deep concern even among Republican operatives. But a funny thing happened when the people voted: Republicans gained seats, and are on track to net somewhere in the ballpark of 12-15 seats, building substantially on their current 197-seat minority:

Trende, a very smart analyst whose overall 2020 prediction was pretty much bang-on, says he expects the final total to settle around 212 — just six short of a majority, which would make the GOP an early favorite to win back the lower chamber in 2022. What explains this polling misfire? National Journal’s Josh Kraushaar argues that part of the equation is ‘shy’ moderate-to-right-leaning suburban voters hiding their preferences and rebelling against political correctness and lefty bullying:

Of the 20 GOP-held seats that The Cook Political Report rated as lean Democratic or toss-up, 13 were in affluent suburban areas. Most of these districts swung significantly towards Democrats in 2018, and Republicans were bracing for further erosion in 2020. But Republicans showed remarkable across-the-board strength in these conservative-tilting suburban districts, from Phoenix to Cincinnati to Oklahoma City to Charleston. Republicans are now well-positioned to win back four seats in California, including two in the Democratic-trending suburbs of Orange County. The surest sign that Republicans didn’t see this red wave coming: Even in suburban races that Republicans largely ignored, weak GOP challengers came within striking distance of winning.

Many of the early takeaways involve accusations that polls undersampled white working-class voters. But the House results give credence to an alternative view, outlined in a compelling article by political science professor Eric Kaufmann, arguing that “political correctness has left a cadre of white college graduates unwilling to reveal their voting intentions.” In the piece, he offers evidence that there is a shy Trump vote coming not from white working-class MAGA supporters but rather from affluent Republican-leaning voters in the suburbs afraid to share their views on politics and hot-button cultural issues in public…One of [Public Opinion Strategies’] most significant conclusions was that many participants volunteered their frustration about the excesses of so-called “cancel culture,” pointing to a stifling environment where employees worry they can be fired or punished for heterodox political views expressed at the workplace. This wasn’t an issue popping up in polls, but it was clearly registering in these moderated conversations.

I’ve been engaged in a public conversation with my brother. The people who are jumping in don’t realize he and I have debated issues since he’s been able to talk, and we don’t let our political differences get between us. We can take each other to the mat and laugh about it. We had a good teacher in my dad about how that’s done. While I know this isn’t going to come between us, I do sense a desperation in my brother this time. It’s like he knows the corruption is real, and to accept that Biden won is to agree getting what you want is worth selling your soul. I don’t think he’s sure Biden and what the current Democrats want is worth it.

He’s been waiting to share my excitement at electing the first woman president, and it’s breaking his heart that I’m not celebrating Kamala Harris. Not because she’s wonderful, but because I’m 9 years older than he is, and he’s afraid there might not be a lot of time left for it to happen. If he thought a little bit of cheating might make women happy about electing a woman, he might accept that. His struggle is real about what’s going on. While I think a lot of people will celebrate beating Trump no matter how they did it, I’m not sure all of the Democrats, even yellow dog ones like my brother, are OK with it if they had to cheat beyond the level of cheating that goes with being a Democrat. My brother is jumping on every bit of news that comes from anywhere that says the fraud won’t be enough to change the results, but I’m not sure it’s because he needs to win as much as it is he has to believe his beloved party isn’t totally corrupt. He and a lot of other people are counting on Fox to convince the Trump supporters.

    • Constance says:

Well, I feel like the Democrats tried to inject chaos into the election, Now they’ve got what they want. Hand count the ballots using a neutral party not a bunch of Democrat apparatchiks. Meanwhile corral the state level Republicans and use Democrat shit tactics to force this into the house deciding the election. That would give Trump a double dose of legitimacy. Eventually the ballots counted by humans will go his way, And the states will elect him because more of them are Republican. That will also stomp down the Democrats in the future because for 100 years they have relied on candy assed Republicans quitting and taking bribes now they would have to think twice. I believe the rioters in the street were at max level this summer. If Democrats had anything else to throw down they would have. I don’t think 1/20 is significant. It will be a shit show before that.
Trumps surrogates should point out how the same old war mongering grifters are lining up at the trough already.

    • Angie says:

Best case: between hand recounts & audits + court disqualifying ballots, the fraud is exposed and Trump wins GA, AZ, PA, WI & MI outright, states certify votes & EC elects Trump.

Worst case: between hand recounts, audits + court disqualifying ballots the Republican controlled legislatures im GA, AZ, PA, WI & MI determe the vote cannot be properly trusted and refuse to certify. Instead they send their own competing slate of electors. This would throw the race to the House as neither Biden nor Trump would obtain 270 EVs. Note: the House vote is 1 per state delegation, not 1 vote for every member. Before election that was 26 R votes & 24 D votes. Now it is 31 R votes & 19 D votes. Either way, Trump wins.

The ONLY WAY Trump loses is of he concedes. And he’s not doing that.

      • Woke Lola says:

I like it. Did you know that about state delegations as a result of being a lawyer, or did you learn through research it during all this? I’d like to see any links you have if you’re just learning it. That is a fascinating proposition. It would be sooooooooooooo much Justice if that happened and Nancy was impotent to do anything about it.

        • Woke Lola says:

My God, just think. We could have Clarence Thomas writing an opinion that fucks Biden over, but not enough, and then impotent Nancy presiding over the final act of electing Donald Trump to a second term after tearing up his SOTU speech and impeaching him. Bwahahahaha! This is better than fiction and television.

“Today I settled all family business.”

        • elliesmom says:

It’s in the 12th Amendment to the Constitution. I learned about it because every teacher in MA has to take a class that covers both the federal and the state constitutions. The writing sample you have to do to get a license involves answering a question about the Constitution. It’s the place most people who fail the test run into trouble. While people say it’s because they couldn’t write, but it’s more likely they had no idea how to answer the question.

          • Woke Lola says:

That’s also interesting. I took Constitutional Law and we did briefly review the Constitution, but the class was mostly about case law (which was FASCINATING–you can really see the evolution of America from a broad view in a class like that). There must be very few cases that are decided on the 12th Amendment, because I don’t remember them. You know, now that I think about, we did not cover Bush v Gore in that class. I’m definitely going to research this vein.

          • elliesmom says:

The class I took to meet the state requirement was the History of American Politics. We studied the Constitution and the Amendments in the context of how they came about. It’s easier to remember what the amendments are when you know what triggered their adoption.

        • Angie says:

I remember it from law school –it’s the 12th Amendment. But I did have to refresh my memory with research since this all happened now.

For example, Gore finally conceded on December 13, 2000 not because the recounts were not going his way but because the FL legislature was controlled by Rs. There was no chance they wouldn’t accept the certified results.

I saw that on Newsmax. If we are lucky that hand recount will settle at least one Senate seat too. I think it will because I think we have been fucked over by computers shifting votes.

      • Somebody says:

The Georgia SOS said the hand recount is for the Presidential race only. However, if major discrepancies are found I’m sure Perdue will demand a hand recount. As it is, due to the closeness of the race there will be a machine recount on the Perdue senate race.

Question is whether that machine count will occur after the audit, canvas and hand recount in the POTUS race? Surely some ballots will be tossed due to fraud via that process. I still haven’t heard whether the military ballots have been counted in GA. I mean, excluding the Navy ballots that found their way into a dumpster in Griffin🙄

        • Constance says:

My hunch is, what they find with a hand recount will be so outrageous that it will trigger hand recounts everywhere.

  67. lyn5 says:

Corporate media helped push leftist propaganda by refusing to call violent riots across our county for what they are. Instead, media elites called them “protests” as people were setting cars on fire, looting merchandise, and violently attacking people defending their properties and businesses. Mayors and governors were quick to blame President Trump while it was their policies and inept leadership that enabled the lawlessness. Partisan prosecutors even charged people with crimes for merely defending themselves from angry mobs.

    • Constance says:

I agree but I have to say the media and Dem leadership wasted their own power and credibility and permanently turned a lot of people off. I think their behavior last summer turned votes to Trump.

Ben Bergquam is a young reporter that Real America’s Voice has sent to Maricopa County AZ. He did some digging trying to figure out why the ballot counting there has slowed to a crawl. He found out the D’s aren’t showing up. By state law there has to be a D and an R to observe absentee or provisional ballots. The room had been full of both R and D observers. There are still plenty of R observers, but only a couple of D’s so they’ve had at most 3 counting tables, usually only 1 or 2.

    • Constance says:

Odd behavior. Of course they are Dems so I wouldn’t expect normal or honest behavior. Still, what motive for the stall? They think they are losing so they want to prevent that for as long as possible, they want more time for the Biden propaganda to sink in, they still have fraud operations going on.
This reminds me of my last divorce. My ex went the shit show route thinking I would do anything to get it over with because he mistook my trust and honesty for stupidity. I barely, slowly responded to his BS, dragging it out longer. At a certain point you have to wonder how low will these people go. So they start to fall apart because you force them to go continually lower and lower until even their sick power grubbing minds can’t fathom where they are and what comes next. He would hand write his documents and his hand writing got smaller and smaller until I had to wonder if he was using a microscope to write. So I don’t know what this will look like but I think Trump should stand back and let the plotters descend into increasing desperation.
