    Good morning!

  2. votermom says:

Who is NOT Black Friday shopping?
I’m just not in the mood…

    • Angie says:

      Not me either.
But I never do. The crowds are too crazy & the day after Thanksgiving is for left overs & napping.

    • lyn5 says:

I have three Christmas packages that I plan to ship today, but I never shop on Black Friday.

    • elliesmom says:

I haven’t been shopping on Black Friday in over 30 years. I don’t shop on Small Business Saturday, either, although I get harrassed about it plenty. I might check out the sales on CyberMonday if something good shows up in my email.

My hands have been swollen and painful with tendonitis. I can’t use the manual can opener, so I thought I would go to Wal-Mart and pick up an automatic one, and then I remembered what day it was. Nope!

      • Somebody says:

        Amazon Swannie😉

      • lateblum says:

I’m sorry about your tendonitis. If I were there, I’d go for you. I can’t stand the mobs of people, but it doesn’t seem so bad here. Hey, can you go online, order same day pickup and simply drive over there? I know we have that here at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. You’d get your can opener before this evening.
        Hope you feel better. ❤️

      • lyn5 says:

Ouch! How long does the tendonitis last?

        • swanspirit says:

I am not sure, but it seems like it lasts a long time. I am supposed to rest.it, but it seems almost impossible to rest your hands.
I did make it to my friends for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, but they came over and picked me up, but I don’t know about cooking my turkey as I planned. I might have to give.it away.
Thank you for all of your care and concerns, the delivery idea sounds like a good idea!.

I placed a store pick up order for a kayak at Dicks. It was ready in 15 minutes and there was very light traffic in the store. Very light traffic at the adjacent mall as well.

      • lateblum says:

Dd#1 in Seattle drove a cpl of hours to an REI in some other WA town because no one in or near Seattle had any kayaks left. All she did, was to call them, speak to someone who talked to her about what was available and then order it. It was bought and paid for and she was there and back in less than 5 hours. And she now has a kayak that is taking up space in her apartment. But she is a happy camper, 🌞

        • Woke Lola says:

Nice. Our little tidal creek is the perfect spot to practice at high tide. Planning on inaugurating this little beauty in the morning. Never been kayaking before.

HA! I have always thought this. It says John Roberts was picked because they had blackmail info on him from Epstein Island. So the way President Trump can end this blackmail power is get and release the information widely. None of this BS about retiring quietly. No, blow that asshole out and humiliate him as an example to perverted, power hungry elitists everywhere. I’m sorry it has to be done. But the extreme depravity of the Democrat party and the GOPe determines the fact that only extreme measures will work to deter them.

Same way they spent 3 years screeching Mueller was coming to expose and arrest the criminal Trump/Russia ring. Then — after Mueller closed his investigation saying he found *no evidence* to prove it & charged *nobody* with conspiring with Russia — insisted they were right.

The last 5 years of US politics has been driven by a huge sector of the media spreading hysteria, endorsing unhinged conspiracies, predicting coups and civil wars, warning of impending collusion arrests — all for their own benefit — then never admitting they were wrong.

We have a storm predicted for here for Monday, which means Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. The weather folks very seldom get the nature of a storm wrong, but when it arrives is sometimes within a margin of error. Monday afternoon into evening is the current target for RI and the Boston area. The temps here are in 40s and 50s during the day, but it has been dipping below freezing occasionally at night. The ground is not yet frozen. At the moment the storm is predicted to be rain and high winds. Maybe some snow mixed in overnight. It’s unlikely the snow will be an issue. If it lands, it will disappear quickly. We need the rain badly. While snow refreshes the water table better because it seeps into the ground slowly as it melts, and hard, heavy rain runs off, rain is fine. I think we’ve had enough wind lately that most of the branches and trees that are fragile have already come down. But just in case, I need to be planning for power outages. The storm is coming from the Ohio Valley through to Virginia, and then up the NE corridor so I’m not the only one in its path. 😦

    • DeniseVB says:

Yep, it’s in our forecast for Monday-ish. Weird November, it’s been very mild with an occasional frosting on the lawn some mornings, but the damn lawn keeps growing and more leaves are still on the trees than have fallen.

      • elliesmom says:

The latest forecast this Saturday morning pinponts the timing to later on Monday with the low temp on Monday in the high 50s and no drop below freezing until after the storm has passed. So thank you for sending the warm air along with the rain. This means, while I might have to deal with a power outage, I’m not going to freeze.

Covid is a hoax it is not real in the sense that it morphed into something that isn’t killing anyone yes it was most likely created in China yes it was bad but it is not. all deaths being reported are fake they are related to other issues mostly heart disease cancer and the regular flu. Wearing a mask socially distancing using Lysol on everything is a sign of stupidity and it must stop I don’t want to offend anyone here but rip the diaper off your face and start living. You are no more at risk from covid-19 and actually you have an 1800 times greater chance of being struck and killed by lightning than being killed by covid. It took me three days during the Houston Texas shut down to figure out what was going on and actually it took me one day but it took me three days to accept the fact that everyone’s a fucking liar most people are stupid and that this could actually be happening in my world. It is time we take back are constitutionally protected rights use our intelligence and tell these people in no uncertain terms to fuck off if they do not stop wasting our great great great great grandchildren’s money cuz that’s about where we’re at when it comes to printing money cuz all this is about power control and money and we’re going to have to take another form of action to stop what is going on. If we all stood together we could change the course of this country in one minute we just have to figure out how to band together and an act as a group verses feeling alone in our homes.

    • Jentx says:

Just so you know John Hopkins took this article down and they said and I quote one of the reasons they took it down is because of its Miss information that might hurt people because this young lady who was smart enough to get into one of the top colleges in the country in a very competitive and hard to enter major of Economics could not possibly be smart enough to analyze death statistics. This of course is a complete ridiculous statement because many people analyze death statistics and write reports papers face projects and policy on it who are not doctors. Also I note that they do not censor the illustrious doctor fauchi despite the fact that he has said many things that could be categorized as misinformation that could harm people including but not limited to you don’t have to wear a mask and going on cruise ships is just a okay. We are living in very dangerous times and censorship is the beginning of the end. They had no right to take that article down and I hope that that young lady gets an attorney and Sue’s to have her article put back into the publication.

If you need a comedic break from the ongoing Art of the Steal election drama and Wuhan Flu lockdowns, the 2015 British movie Bad Education is available on Netflix until mid Dec. It is totally un PC. Bad Education was a TV series for three years, beginning in 2012, also available on Netflix. I really enjoy how British shows use actors who look like real people.

Mothy, you and Shay would get a real laugh out of this. My daughter and I did caution her 13 and 15 year old that you must never do in school what you are about to see.

The Bad Education Movie – Wikipedia
The Bad Education Movie is a 2015 British comedy film directed by Elliot Hegarty and written by Freddy Syborn and Jack Whitehall . The movie is based on Whitehall’s sitcom of the same name, and follows a similar plot-line, with young teacher Alfie Wickers’ (Jack Whitehall) ineptly trying to supervise and occasionally educate Form K.

A little change of pace. My oldest daughter got a guinea pig about 2 or 3 weeks before lockdown in March. She adores and spoils Mr. Pickles. You should have pairs, but due to lockdown which was extended in NC she wasn’t able to get Pickles a brother until labor day weekend when she adopted a rescue guinea pig very close to the same age.

Mr. Pickles has not been feeling well, he had an upper respiratory infection according to the vet and was put on antibiotics. Daughter was told guinea pigs are delicate and to prepare for the fact that Pickles may not make it. He got better, but still wasn’t himself. She has to keep them in separate cages lest the other guinea pig catch the infection.

This morning when she woke up and called Mr. Pickles he didn’t come. She called him again, he made a faint noise. He was hiding in a little cubicle type hidey house in his cage. She continued to call him, but he wouldn’t come out. Fearing he’d taken a turn for the worse she took a deep breath, reached in and pulled up the little house. There was Mr. Pickles with his 4 babies🤣🤣🤣🤣

She is shell shocked. First thing I said is, “You might want to consider a new vet”🤣🤣 The vet actually admonished her that Mr. Pickles was a little overweight and that wasn’t helping his breathing, told her to cut back on the snacks🤣🤣

Mama and babies are doing fine. She moved the adult male (Pumpkin) out of the big cage, cleaned it up and put the new family in the big cage and moved pumpkin to the small cage. She’s hoping at least one of the babies is a girl. She’s going to try and find a home for pumpkin that doesn’t involve being reptile food😲 Ditto for any males in the litter. She just dropped some coin on any and everything the babies and mama might possibly need. She even got formula in case she needs to hand feed them for any reason. She intends to find a real expert and have the babies sexed so there are no more babies ever.

She was supposed to come home for Thanksgiving and she was going to bring her “boys” with her. However, work got crazy and Mr. Pickles still wasn’t himself, so she opted not to come down. If she had, I would have a litter of rodents in my spare bedroom and no way my daughter would travel back home with newborns🤣

PS I also suggested perhaps she should drop the Mr. and just call her Pickles since clearly she’s not a Mr.

I was laughing because we have a running joke in our rescue about our various vets and their inability to correctly identifying the male/female tags especially with kittens with black fur. Then thought, just how fast do those little nippers matures. Turns out daughter is going to need to do her homework, those cute little piglets get to puberty in no time.

    • Woke Lola says:

What a great story! 😂 And they wonder why the reputations of experts are in tatters. Shit like this!

      • Somebody says:

I did some looking around last night, there is actually a guinea pig breeder society in Western NC. The Cav breeders society (Caviidae). Surely they have or know of experts and qualified vets. I didn’t find much about them, except a one star Google rating with no comment🤔 I know there is an active rescue group, my daughter worked with them to find pumpkin.

Her friend insists she’ll take any males including pumpkin, but her friend has a dog. A very curious and mischievous terrier that gets around barriers and is oh so interested in DD’s guinea pigs whenever he’s at DD’s house. So DD is concerned for their safety. If any of the babies are boys it will be months before they can be housed with pumpkin as pumpkin is much older.

My daughter bought a 5 bedroom house a little over a year ago. It’s lovely and huge, she’s single. That’s why she bought the guinea pig in the first place. Pickles is very sweet and cuddly, she says he cuddles and adores her like a dog and curls up on her chest and purs like a cat, but is easier to take care of than a dog or cat.

Her best friend’s father is retired and his hobby is carpentry. He’s VERY talented. He promised to custom build an elaborate “house” for DD, but the pandemic came. DD is going to turn the smaller of her bedrooms into a guinea pig room. Now her BFF says, you have 5 bedrooms, you live alone so we’ll have a boy guinea pig room and a girl’s room🤣 BFF says I’ll make a sign for the doors🤣

Daughter says, no,no,no, I think that’s worse than being the weird cat lady🤣

I told daughter it’s up to her, but the downstairs guest suite is off limits. I furnished it and it’s mine🤣 I’ve only been there once, but it’s my ready made evacuation accommodations or my ready made get away and enjoy cooler weather vacation spot. I’m not giving it up to guinea pigs, besides they don’t need a bathroom🤣

Today as you all know has been dubbed “Small Business Saturday”. It’s nothing new and has nothing to do with the cooties although it’s being heavily marketed that way this year.. It popped up several years ago. Among my family and friends are several small business owners. Both my daughter and my daughter-in-law are entrepreneurs. I frequently buy things like fabric and yarn from small businesses both in person and on the web. I don’t feel the need to patronize any of them today. I know the kind of few days my daughter-in-law has trying to cope with an influx of in store customers and online shipping, and she’ll want and need business next week, too.

What I wish small business owners wouldn’t do is advertise a portion of their profits today will go to a charity they’ve chosen. it doesn’t raise the price of what I want to buy. Indeed, the charitable donation is often accompanied by a sale price for me. Once I buy something I want, I really don’t think it’s any of my business what the shop owner does with her profits, but when she virtue signals what her favorite charity is, she makes me a conscious contributor.

King Arthur Baking Co. isn’t a small business like my girls are small, but in the corporate world they’re small potatoes. The company is employee owned. One of their charitable things to do is to supply small bakeries so they can provide free baked goods to places that provide food for the hungry like shelters and soup kitchens. When there’s a natural disaster, they find bakeries near enough to the site to send food to the disaster relief help. When you shop at King Arthur, there used to be a box you could check off to include your own charitable donation. It not only helped the charities, it also gave the small bakery a boost. I say “used to” because last year KA decided to include cash donations from its profits to some non-profits they chose, and they chose to send several thousand dollars to the SPLC. It turns out a large portion of their customer base thinks the SPLC is a hate group. Customer donations to their food for the needy dried up. While KA was quick to say customer donations didn’t go to the SPLC, the old “money is fungible” argument came up. Maybe this year KA will fund the bakeries with their own money instead of SPLC.

When my girls asked me what I thought about setting up a charitable fundraiser in their small businesses, I asked them if they’d be comfortable setting aside a portion of today’s profits to be given to their church? Of course, they wouldn’t because not all of their customers would support their church, and it wouldn’t be right to ask them to give money to it. Exactly. Even if their church does good things. Give your customers a good price and hope they use the money they save to donate to a charity of their own choice. Or charge them full price and put some of your higher profits toward your own charitable giving- quietly, no virtue signaling required.

There are a number of small mills that sell quality flour. I’ve ordered from Lindley Mills in North Carolina several times and been very satisfied, but there are others.

As usual, very sage advice you gave, but I’d expect nothing less from you EM😉

I’ve never been big into “Small Business Saturday”, it’s heavily promoted here as we have a quaint downtown of various shops. Most of them are tourist shops, since I’m not a tourist I generally am not in need of their wares. I shop at a few that are not tourist stores, but there are some I’ve no need to shop at like the jewelry store or the over priced shoe store.

My list of businesses shrank after the 6 week lockdown ended. Even though I had no need for anything, I decided to go out shopping and buy something at the downtown shops, knowing they had been forced to be closed for 6 weeks. My grandkids were thrilled with my shopping spree, btw🤣 There were a couple of stores I really liked that are off my list now. Rather than reopen they plastered their windows with political signs, not for a candidate but their opinions regarding covid. They felt reopening would make them accomplices to murder and such.

I was relieved to find the 3 businesses I frequent the most were open and thrilled to have their customers back. I hope they have a lot of traffic today, but I won’t be among the crowds. I will be shopping at them in the coming weeks though as they are always part of my Christmas shopping stops and I never leave empty handed😉

Situation Update – Nov. 27th – DoD vs. CIA firefight in Frankfurt as covert war against the deep state RAGES across the globe

At this very minute, a covert war is raging across the globe, pitting Trump’s DoD and DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) against black hat deep state factions running the CIA.

The good news is: Trump is winning.

As you know by now, the DoD launched a raid on a CIA-run server farm in Frankfurt, Germany, to secure servers that contain proof of CIA interference with the 2020 election (i.e. backdoor manipulations of election results via Dominion voting machines). But new information is now surfacing that indicates there was a firefight at the server farm facility, involving US Army Special Forces units, engaging with CIA-trained paramilitary units that were flown in from Afghanistan in an emergency effort to defend the facility.
