Trump Rally tomorrow on Newsmax , good sign to watch 😉

    • jentx says:

I’m over it. Until they announce that many are going to prison and Donald J. Trump won the 2020 election with 75 million PLUS legal votes I don’t give a damn. Swamp is everyone but Donald Trump and us. Republicans are WORSE than Dimwits because they lie more. Donald Trump ran as Republican because he had to but he is Patriot. He is HERO. He is American. He is everything we have and we need to face that as a hard fact. If we let him fade away America is over and any time, energy or money spent on this farce called politics is waste in the extreme. Time to face facts and stop hoping and praying. My heart is breaking for this country but what can I do. I donated. I called. I voted. Please let me know when civil war starts I am all in. If there is a GOD he will answer prayers and when we rebuild this great country statues will be erected and Trump will go down as the Finest Bravest American President in history of America. And btw, thank you to every person here I love you all and consider you my friends even though I mostly lurk and read and leave when he is declared winner if I can win lottery I will host big party and everyone is invited on me. Probably same odds…

Arizona Legislature Calls for Immediate ‘Forensic Audit’ of Dominion Voting Machines

The Arizona House and Senate have called for an audit of the Maricopa County election software and equipment following allegations of fraud and other irregularities presented by President Donald Trump’s team earlier this week.

    way off topic
I am surprised that a few people that own 5 or more acres of land and not opened a drive in movie theater .. would have social distancing and entertainment at the same time . Have a big screen for movies or a stage for concerts. think it would make money

    • 1539days says:

Well, it would take months to construct. You need a huge screen (or 2) and at least a couple of buildings if you want to serve food. The other problem is that studios have decided that movie theaters (enclosed and drive-in combined) don’t make enough money due to lock downs. Instead, they’re going to try launching their streaming services for the next 2-3 months with new movies.

Plus, some Karen might ruin everything if they see some people talking to each other outside of the cars or people who aren’t in the same household sititng in the same vehicle and ruin that, too.

      Mr Big Chest@billypolley1

Turncoats everywhere. So the senate couldn’t work with a republican president but is willing to deal with a democrat?

      • Constance says:

I heard that Sidney and Wood said Kelly Loeffler and Purdue made big investments in Dominion last year and that they bought their votes. That was one of the big reasons that Sidney is not really on President Trumps team. She wants to take out corrupt Republicans along with corrupt Democrats. Wood and Sidney want to have the whole election forensically audited because they believe Doug Collins beat Loeffler easily no special election needed.

do you have Prime? there is a station on it Quello-stingray. there are almost 500 different concerts on there. all different types of music. Last night I watched Simon and Garfield in Central Park and 25 years of rock and roll with many different stars performing. It cost 6.99 a month and during this time it is worth it. I have watched Ray Orbison, Moody Blues, A trubute to Benny Goodman. John Denver,. Fleetwood Mac.
best investment I have made in a long time

Thank you for the new thread. I could not even open the last one. My iPad continued to shut down and the message I got was “Wordpress Crash”. I still cannot open the last thread on my iPad.
    Was anyone else having problems?

    • John Denney says:

The html source for that page is barely 2 MB.

      I’m appalled:
      A) That it’s that big (huge ratio of wordpress crud to actual comments)
      B) That an IPad crashes on a 2 MB page
      C) That the iPad blames WordPress.

Might have something to do with JavaScript. I had a project at work that used JavaScript. A web browser would send a request to our database, then display the data. Rather than being within my tolerance limit of about 3 seconds, it was taking nearly a minute to complete a single request! When I debugged it to see where the bottleneck was, I found our database got the request & sent the data back in a fraction of a second. All the remaining time was JavaScript figuring out how to display it! We had written the JavaScript, and it was our usual lean, clean code, and not that complicated, being just a simple demo. JavaScript was just that slow.

      • DeniseVB says:

3 second tolerance, lol, reminds me of the dial up days, and when it took 45 minutes to download a 3 min video or photos. Then again, I got other stuff done while waiting 😀

        • John Denney says:

Processors are 2000 times faster now, since the clock speeds are 500 times faster, and the data pipe quadrupled from 16 to 64 bits.
Memory size is 1000 times bigger and several times faster.
Ethernet & wireless far faster than dial-up.
          Things shouldn’t take long.
Another department in our company created an aggregation service where clients had individual news feeds fed from sources they selected, including from other clients, a little like facebook. They kept all the data in a Microsoft MySQL database, and after just a few weeks started having performance issues. They tried to count how many records were in the database, but terminated the count after a day. A day!!!
They guesstimated they had 75 million records, and our VP of Engineering said we need to start looking at handling “big data”.
So I developed a mechanism for our database to be distributed across as many machines as needed. As a test I created a dummy customer order file containing 75 million records, distributed across 6 linux machines networked to my PC, then I did a query asking for all orders placed between this date and that date. I got my answer, 10,000 records, in 3 seconds.
Actually counting all 75 million records took longer – about 20 minutes, IIRC, which was far faster than Microsoft’s mySQL, which still hadn’t finished counting after 24 hours.

      • lateblum says:

3 seconds is about my limit. Maybe even longer than my limit. Thankfully, I learned stress management strategies some time ago. Not that they work.

This is pretty interesting. Monkey Werx Overwatch again. Starts at about 2:15. Weird happening near the Whitehouse last night. Airforce1 and several decoys were up circling for about an hour and while they were up a bunch of helicopters were swarming. No reports of any problems. So who knows what was up.

    • DeniseVB says:

Agree. No matter the outcome, I want the media destroyed, it’s so worthless. The above ratings chart proves that. Remember when Maddow was sued then she claimed she’s not a journalist, but an entertainer ? She got off ? What a joke. I remember when Maddow was being mentored by Keith Olbermann as a frequent guest on his show then as a guest host. She was awful then though she ended up with her own show (Keith’s?) when he left MSNBC.

      • Constance says:

Rachel Maddow is a compelling storyteller. But she shouldn’t be anywhere near the news. I can see her in a primitive culture gathered around a fire holding people spell bound with her yarns, night after night.

I think those boards are the major points of corruption and graft that keep us at war all the time. The military industrial complex. He is wiping them out so the new administration will actively have to re-up the corruption. He is going scorched earth on the Deep State. Also it seems like Trump is an instinctive TV producer. He wants to keep media and people talking about what he as President is doing daily. So he is purposely annoying the establishment so they can’t help but talk about him. I believe Rudy Giuliani has tons of evidence from the past few years and is still gathering evidence but he is acting like a lawyer and holding on to it when media hype is needed.

I trust nothing. The numbers are skyrocketing as we near a vaccine. And nine momths in they finally have testing centers. How much is legit? Healthy people testing positive? How many false?
It is sad that I no longer believe anything. Seriously I look at the news from both sides as pure propoganda. If they say it’s raining I am looking out the window.

What should I do? My neighboe who is essentially shut in could not afford internet. She has serious medical issues so is really locked down. I was hardly heroic in giving her a tablet so she can get online. I got it for my sister who rejected it. I am under contract so it was just sitting on my desk.
I went to pick up her meds. She calls it in and leaves me a check between doors.
Today she left me a 50 dollar grocery gift card. Would it be rude to return it?
Funny at the start of the plandemic she hired Shay to do yard work. Bwahahahahahaha. She over paid. Manual labor is not in brat’s skill set. Sweet woman imprisoned. It only costs me 15/month to give her unlimited high speed internet on tablet. 50 cents a day to give her some connection. It is normally 60. She is cool enough to not overplay gratitude. It’s not a big deal I walk by her house everyday and I still have 10 months on my contract. The pharmacy is in grocery store.
I feel bad about taking 50, but wonder if it would be an insult to give it back?
Several drug companies are suing to stop the price reduction for meds. I have never looked at what it is I pick up for neighbor. I do know the checks I hand over with D.O.B. are substantial for someone living on a fixed income. One drug is 85. I don’t know what her issues are, but I assume she is on disability. I believe her health crisis rendered her unemployable. She is too young for full SS and because of covid she cannot do a bullshit p/t job. It annoys me that the OD drug is free, but there is no help for someone who paid into the system for 40 plus years. Our government subsidizes drug research and then pharma sells Americans the same drugs at ten times the price????
We went through a lot of cash with my dad covering meds. It hurt but we never had to choose between food and meds.
This woman entered into an agreement with the gov’t by being forced to contribute to medicare. She worked her entire life, but got hit a tough blow. She would be better off had she not worked most of her life. Medicaid would pay more than her medicare. 85 dollars strikes me as insane for someone living on 1500 a month. Why do we take better care of addicts than our seniors? 85 is just one script. Her donut hole ( whatever that is) explodes after May each year.
I get PrEP can be a very positive thing. It can always be provided. Ya do anonymous sex that is covered, but insulin for a person who contributed to society for decadesis not. I know a woman who gets the shot which blocks hetoin from having any effect. This woman has never held a job for 6 weeks. Everything is covered. Many rehabs and prison.
An older woman who always worked has to live hand to mouth. Before you say she should have invested better along the way. We are in Western Pennsylvania. Sometimes jobs just disappeared due to trading practices. You lose your home or cash in 401k. My cousin Carole worked for a union paper company for almost 20 years. She was offered a buyout. No retirement. How does she start over at 56. Who will hire her when they can get a kid to work for 25,000. She got fucked.

    • lateblum says:

I used to have real discomfort accepting gifts from my patients until one of my very best supervisors said it would actually hurt them to have their gifts refused. This may be the only way she feels she can say thank you for all your generosity. And in fact, it may be. Perhaps there’s a way you can use the card to benefit her. It sounds like she is grateful. You can allow her to say thanks.
