I have found using my tablet and I get far better weather info, can get a detailed seven day outlook and so far not one annoying auto playing video that somehow manages to work in global warming, coverage of covid crap, how advanced China is compared to stupid USA and how the EU. Is just the best, . . .looking at you weather channel and the rest of the msm. Weather channel Even managed to destroy weather underground.

Accu weather app still has the best system for getting out warnings and special statements . It actually still works with my ten year old phone . The ads are not too annoying.

Weather bug and NOAA have the best and fastest loading radars o get the apps and rarely stall in loading.

when you live in weather belt A on the edge of weather belt B, and work in weather belt C. Reasonably decent info is very useful. Especially in winter.

I guess I am here. What are my other options? The Dems are going nutz, I know something is coming, if not and this week thuds, I’ll try and move on.

  3. swanspirit says:

President Trump won this election, and the traitors and thieves, and those that are allowing it, deserve the gallows. President Washington would have either hanged, or shot them.

  4. DeniseVB says:

More people seem to be noticing this little tidbit, except for the media ?

  5. Miranda says:

As I said in the thread below, after all their big talk about revolution, the Squad didn’t have the guts to even vote against Pelosi. If all of them had, they could have removed her as speaker.

    • DeniseVB says:

I think it’s because they support Bernie, and he’s had a lifetime of talking like a revolutionary and doing nothing. I’m still shocked the entire Squad got re-elected despite all their personal and professional problems. AOC’s challenger was a retired NYPD and currently a high school history teacher running in his native district. Queens voters aren’t that stupid, had to be rigged.

      • taw46 says:

And Omar. Really, with all that came out about her?

        • DeniseVB says:

She represents Little Somalia, the camp Obama established years ago. You’d think those people would be happy to escape that sh*thole, instead Omar’s trying to establish those horrible conditions again? Where did she come from to win a seat in Congress….and keep it for all the wrong reasons 😦

      • Constance says:

Their races are rigged as are all the races in California, Oregon and Washington. We are not electing these shit for brains Libs.

  6. taw46 says:

So, will anyone tell her she can’t carry in the Capitol?

  7. taw46 says:

Has anyone read Lin Wood’s tweets from early this morning? I don’t know what to say anymore!

    • Miranda says:

To quote the illustrious leader of the Crawdad Hole: I think the peanut butter done slid off his cracker.

      • DeniseVB says:

I get that and it’s really what troubles me about picking a side. I have no alternatives who are convincing me he’s wrong. What if his crazy talk is right? There are no ongoing cease and desist orders to shut him up? RINOs are his biggest critics? Lin is a defamation attorney, is he willing to throw that career away over a conspiracy that we’ve all been thinking might be true since Obamacare? He’s also addressing the mysterious sudden death of Scalia. No autopsy?

      • Jentx says:

Lin wood is telling the truth. And for those of you who are loathe 2 understand the enormity of the epidemic a child rape Google corn on your phone in about a million years later there will still be a billion images you haven’t seen most of which involve child rape fantasies women acting like children looking like children look at the titles listen to the conversations of the people performing oh and then they you can also look a child sexual abuse as well. When Tipper and Al Gore started their movement against sexualized violence and child porn there were cartoons in Playboy that show children having sex with adults I was able to ask Christie Hefner Hugh Hefner’s daughter if she thought a for 5 year old asking a grown man you call that Ballin something was funny and she said yes. We live in a very sick Society and I don’t know what drives people to rape babies as young as 3 or 4 months and why 12 and 13 year old girls are dressed like 20 year olds by their own mothers. The sexual trade market is so enormous and accounts for so many hundreds of billions of dollars it’s almost impossible to battle. Don’t even get me started on the themes in Hollywood or what goes on with child actors and actresses. That being said Lin wood would not be able to be saying what he saying unless he has photographic evidence and he’s been saying it now for about three and a half weeks. If Justice Roberts was innocent his attorney would have shut this down the day it happened. Linwood is telling the truth the question is are we brave enough to believe him

      • Constance says:

Lin Wood is clearly daring them to try and shut him up. And they aren’t trying to shut him up. He is certainly wealthy enough and he can afford the best body guards 24/7. Also those are some big dogs he has (he posted the picture of himself and them on a big leather couch yesterday) and they seem very loyal. Also this plot isn’t new. I remember reading some novel set in the 1800’s in England and power brokers did this very thing. Lured in “up and coming” of the power class with exclusive clubs and then after drinking, social pressure them into appalling blackmail-able activities. I remember I quit reading the book because it had long passages describing the conditions of the boys and girls held in cells under the club house until they were used. So sadly this is apparently a tale as old as time.

        • DeniseVB says:

Lin did tweet that he hopes he gets sued for defamation because “discovery” will be so much fun. Sounds like he’s baiting in that go ahead and make my day sort of way.

      • 1539days says:

It’s cheese done slid off his cracker.

    • elliesmom says:

I’d like to think Lin Wood has lost some cards from his deck because if what he’s saying is true, the world is becoming a very dark place. But the trafficking in children and young teens has hit pretty close to me recently, and I think it’s a lot more widespread than most of us want to believe. Hollywood turns a blind eye and even celebrates people who are known to have raped children, and people still go see their movies. The scandal in the Catholic Church cost the faithful a huge chunk of cash to make it go away, but how many priests were tried and convicted? I have a friend who collected a nice check, but nothing at all happened to the priest. Has the sexual abuse been stopped or has the media just tired of the story? Try speaking up about Netflix’s kiddie porn show and see what kind of response you get. If you don’t see the value in it, you must be a rightwing prude. We’re already at a point where sexualizing children is acceptable. Go to Target’s girls’ department with a tape measure and measure the width of a tee shirt and the length of a pair of shorts. Then cross the aisle to the boys’ department, pick the same size, and compare the difference. The step to using children for sexual pleasure becoming acceptable is the next one on the flight down. As a society we don’t value children anymore.

      • dm says:

I’m not an entirely “dark” person, but I lean toward believing the blackmail of powerful people. This has been going on forever. You can trace it back to J. Edgar easily, possibly because he clearly understood the power of secrets. They get drawn in little by little and then boom – they do a big no no, get recorded and voila! They are OWNED. And then ultimately they are controlled. I don’t even read QAnon and I believe most of this stuff.

      • Mothy67 says:

In my years on the planet I never saw a crackdown like i have seen under Donald. I did not ever hear North Western Ohio had a child sex ring. It is nearly every day you hear about 30 kids being rescued. 30 kids saved from sex trafficking????? A hop, skip, and a jump away. How did it go on for decades? Shaypup is 14. I gotta let her live, but trips to the mall scare me.
Was this stuff always here? We chose not to see? The Ohio pit where girls were being sold is an hour away. No one saw anything? I chatter with my brat. We go to the dark at times. I even talk with Kate who is Meg’s mom. Meg I have chased down my main road in underwear and socks. Meg went down my porch roof to “rescue” her boyfriend that was of course dull and crying suicide. Make no mistake Uncle Tim does not play. I chased her. Oh and you can bet I caught her. I said sit your ass down and talk with me. I had also a kid who wrote Fuck Me Daddy using my WiFi. I uttered this please this cannot happen. Sheis now in Chicago and pregnant. I feel like I spent all I have. Leah is black. I strived to talk. Her mom is from Dominican Republic. She has a doctorate. Leah is 14 and pregnant???? Meg is oldest of 5. I am third born. I getted to know my older bro. Life can throw you a curve ball. We are Jim and Tim. My sisters name was Mary. Oh well! Jim Mary Tim. Nothing can stop me. I will never back down when it comes to a kid. Shay climbed a tree and called a car. I would have slit the man’s throat who dared to hurt my baby. I would have used my teeth to rip out his esophagus.

Cuomo: I Won’t Get Vaccine Before Black, Latino, Poor Communities

LONG ISLAND, NY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Sunday that he will not be getting the coronavirus vaccination until it is available for disenfranchised communities that were hit hard by the pandemic the first time around.

Specifically, he said he will not be vaccinated until Black, Latino and poor communities have had access to the vaccination.

    • DeniseVB says:

Will he let them open their businesses and send their kids to school too?

    • Mothy67 says:

My county has a map of each district and covid 19 cases. The highest rates are in the most affluent neighborhoods. Maybe they are more likely to visit a doctor, but as far as stats go the poor areas have lowest numbers. They offer free testing and treatment. The news reports it is hitting people of color. That may be true in NY or L.A. but it is not the case here. Yet blah blah blahers report it is savaging minorities. Not true. Our most congested area (Oakland where Pitt and CMU are has almost non existant numbers)People live on top of each other in that area. I keep an eye on it for KTY (vmoms daughter) i would scream bloody murder if there was an outbreak there. I look everyday for vmom. It is not hitting our poor areas. To one side of my boro is Mount Lebenon. Mark Cuban and a few other billionaires are from there. It also hosts more than a dozen actors. The guy who married sexy Latin lady on Modern Family is from there. Everyone from there achieves. On the other side is Mount Oliver. No idea why I am sandwhiched between towns with Mount as a first name. The Paris government warns travellers not to go to Mount Oliver.
Anywho Mount Lebanon has crazy covid numbers people earn 500,000 a year there. Mount Oliver where welfare is a way of life has almost no cases. My hometown is ghetto. There are 5 cases. I grew up in what is now one of the poorest towns in the world. There is no corona there. I scratch my head. Is it just about money? How can Clairton PA have two covids but crazy filthy rich town have hundreds???

    • lateblum says:

I hope you’re being facetious about Cuomo. They should withhold the vaccine from him. Period.

I’m with you, though, about not getting the vaccine.

According to one of the comments, that is a photo from Oct 2020 in Long Island.

      • DeniseVB says:

I’m running gun shy on all photos being what they say they are. I found an image of Nancy Pelosi’s house on Bing and used it as “proof” it was her home. Didn’t realize the image was from Snopes to debunk it was her house. I’ll never learn, lol.

    • Constance says:

Wow! Those are my people! I wish I could go too. I hope this was taken a few days ago. If not they better haul some ass.

      • Constance says:

Oh, I just read Taw46 and Denise’s comments. I did wonder why it didn’t look very wintery. I can’t tell if there are leaves on the trees or not. It’s definitely greenish looking but they might be evergreens. It makes me happy to think they are Washington people. Living in Seattle I often feel like I am surrounded by virtue signalling Lib idiots.

GOP and Tech Leaders Hold Secret Meeting to Stop Trump

Gathering took place at a private island resort over the weekend
    Joan E. Solsman | March 8, 2016 @ 9:15 AM

Silicon Valley may be a bastion of liberals, but the threat of a Donald Trump presidency had some of technology’s biggest names meeting behind closed doors with members of the Republican elite.

    • lyn5 says:

Nancy Mace isn’t objecting either. I won’t give her any money ever again,

      • DeniseVB says:

Mace better step it up, Trump hired her to run his South Carolina campaign in 2016, he gave her a lot of support to help her win her House seat.

        • elliesmom says:

Many, many years ago the tenants in an apartment building we were living in decided to organize a rent strike. At the meeting everyone signed on to do it, but when the first of the month came, only 2 of us withheld payment. Everyone else was afraid not paying the rent would damage their credit rating. I went out and found a different place to live that didn’t have the issues that made this building and our landlord sub-standard, and we moved out. I learned the lesson that when push comes to shove, most people will back out of taking a stand if there’s a price and no guarantee they’ll accomplish what they say they’re willing to fight for.

There were probably enough congresscritters who said they weren’t going to vote for Pelosi for Speaker to get her out of the chair so a few Democrats took the risk of not voting for her, but when the vote was actually taken, there weren’t enough of them willing to follow through. The couple of Democrats who did will be left holding the bag. When Wednesday gets here, the only person Donald Trump can count on will be Donald Trump. There may be some people in the House and the Senate who will stand by him, but until it happens, it’s anybody’s guess who it will be.

        • lyn5 says:

Mace is getting it from the Trump supporters, and I’m loving it.

      • Constance says:

The problem with that is they pull “non clinical lab staff” out of the research labs in cases of emergency. I’ve been pulled during a nurses strike to get scrubbed and stand at the head of an open heart surgery patient to grab the stat bloods being drawn and get immediate result back because the non-union nurses were too busy at that point to deal with it. I’ve been pulled up to the wards to do what ever the head nurse tells me to do during a snow storm, they put bare mattresses on the floor of the lab hallway for us to sleep on since we couldn’t get home. I’ve also gone to work and found out I got loaned to the public health hospital for a week to run glucoses and other simple tests so their own clinical lab techs could clean up a back log of testing. I’ve also been pulled to draw blood. So that is why they are vaccinating Research workers.

        • Miranda says:

I know a tech in a hospital tissue bank. They routinely go to surgery to grab samples, so vaccinating the techs is sensible. Also, any shot in an arm is one step closer to herd immunity, so wasting vaccine doses is indefensible.

          • 1539days says:

Well, a family member in NY already turned down the vaccine. She works for the hospital, in administration, in a different building from the hospital and has been WFH since March. I don’t they’re going to pull her to work on the patient floor.

    • Constance says:

What a Liberal shit for brains ass. When I worked at the VA hospital they would buy flu vaccine for the veterans in multi dose bottles. Employees could put their names on a list and at 4pm if there were any unused doses they would call and you could run up and get a vaccine. There is no reason to waste any of it as long as there are people of any color who want it.

      • taw46 says:

I guess the commie left would rather see the doses trashed rather than give it to the elderly or white people.

      • swanspirit says:

There is absolutely no reason to waste a single dose of vaccine. One year while I was working As the Nurse administrator at an adult day care, I put together an entire flu shot clinic along CDC guidelines, and I gave all of the vaccine shots. It wasn’t really difficult, and a great many people from the local area showed up to get vaccinated.
the most difficult part wasn’t keeping the multiple dose vials refrigerated, or even keeping track of the individual doses. The most difficult part was organizing the paperwork for payment, and reimbursement from insurance and Medicare.

    something weird with the headache
it was low level today, woke up with sinus-type headache ay 5:30, but by 8 I was okayish and functioning after one Aleve.
At lunch I decided to take vit D (which I do when I remember) and Quercetin for the first time ever just in case it would help. One hour later I had a really bad headache attack, disabled whimpering on the couch for 3 hours (even with another aleve)
but now it’s gone and I feel almost normal
I think the Quercetin triggered the really bad headache
but I think it also might have helped the sinus issue

    • elliesmom says:

I have a low level headache that is coming and going. I think it might be sinuses because benadryl will hold it at bay, but then I’m sleepy all the time. Ibuprofen will kill it, too, but that limits the benefit I get from my high blood pressure meds. Getting outside for awhile today helped as much as either medication. The air was really dry today.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

I get migraines and seasonal cluster headaches and my sinuses have tentacles everywhere . I too have founded Benadryl helps with headaches. If allergies are bad Zyrtec (pediatric dose or I am out like a light) or Claritin if allergies are mild for day and then Benadryl at night. A combo of Tylenol and Advil with a cup of coffee if’s it’s really bed.

I find it now takes 36/48 hours for my sinuses to clear out after going to the office. And I can only stay in a store for an hour or so total including check out. The pattern is very consistent and different from my norm. I suspect all the excessive wiping and spraying of various cleaning supplies might be the culprit and making things worse.

      • votermom says:

claritin is a good idea – must buy some

        • Somebody says:

For what it’s worth a couple of years ago my daughter had sinusitis she couldn’t shake. Testing showed she had allergies. She also had migraines and dizzy spells. Unfortunately for her she also had allergies to some medications. She was a mess for the better part of a year, on and off antibiotics, etc.

She ended up at an allergist, through trial and error she was on two nasal sprays of which one was prescription. She was also put on xyzal. Once she started on xyzal her symptoms finally improved. The down side though is that xyzal made her drowsy. She took it at night and adjusted to it. She cleared up in a couple of weeks, but stayed on all of the medications for a couple of months.

Since then she takes xyzal at night and uses Flonase during spring when her allergies typically flare and she hasn’t had any more issues. She doesn’t like taking xyzal she says it’s like taking benadryl, but she says it works really well.

I am watching Newsmax. Michael Reagan was talking about his father’s 1961 governor election and how he was out campaigning for his father. But he knew nothing about politics, he was only interested in getting a date for the night. So he asked his sister Maureen, what was the difference between a Republican and a Democrat. She said, “Michael, that’s so simple. It will take Republicans a week longer to become communist”. I laughed, so much truth there.

A brilliant Kunstler piece today…Joe Biden is but a ghost in the machine…

    • lyn5 says:

      That’s brilliant.

“What I wonder, given the eerie silence at Joe Biden’s end of things, is whether there is some negotiation underway for Mr. Biden to concede the election before events move forward into official inquiries. I wouldn’t be hugely surprised if that is the case. A US election has never concluded under such an enormous cloud, and with such a show of weakness by the putative winner. Joe Biden is but a ghost in the machine, and the machine is infernally corrupt, and now just about everybody knows it, including the figures fighting so hard to pretend that it isn’t so. Something like a war is underway both within the USA and from without. Mr. Trump is a war president and he’s not shirking his duty. War goes where it will and a genuine leader goes out to meet it where it comes.”

      • 1539days says:

Biden has been running for president for so long, he forgot what he wanted to do as president. So, now he probably just wanted his name in the books and he already made the deal to step back after the Inauguration.

“Elizabeth Is Missing” on Masterpiece is the best depiction of what it’s like as a person slips into dementia I’ve ever seen. Glenda Jackson gives a stellar performance. It’s a sweet story, and it’s a show I expect will stick with me. It’s a mystery, but you get to see the story unwind through Maude’s eyes as she comes to grips with two of the most important women in her life disappearing. One decades ago and one very recently. When Maude is having moments of clarity, the two events are very separate, but as she loses her grip on reality, the two become conflated. It’s a movie length show, not a series.
