That is cute! It’s a miserable wet, rainy day here. The pups woke me up at 5:30am to be let outside. My mom used to have to use the bathroom anytime she heard running water. It was a challenge in a house with 7 people and one bathroom. I think my dogs may have the same issue. They’ve gone back to bed, and I’m left wide awake. Today’s non-political dilemma is whether to color my hair again or not. My hairdresser’s move to working in the grocery store and finding out she makes almost the same amount of money as having an inhome salon means I now have my 1973 hairdo. It doesn’t look strange to me to be able to pull off a long-haired hair pump do- except it’s gray again. While I wouldn’t attempt a self-haircut, I’m comfortable coloring it myself. I have the color here. The only question is, “Am I up for the grow out time of long hair if I change my mind?” When your hair is short, it’s only a few weeks until you’re going to cut what’s left of the color out. I’m only sharing this to show you what lengths I’m going to so I don’t tell a long time in real life friend what I think she should do to herself. If I can hold off, the Democrats will do it for me.

Use demi- permanent color. It lasts long and eventually washes out entirely. I started coloring my hair (dark brown/off black, my natural color) when I started going gray. When I had more gray than dark hair, I decided that paying $150 every two weeks was ridiculous. I also had long wild curly hair that I didn’t want to lose.

My hairdresser suggested that I use the demi product until enough of it grew until I could get enough of it cut off and not lose my signature look. At the end, when I accomplished my goal and the color was fading to an ugly tone, she told me to make a paste of baking soda and shampoo, apply it and wrap it with either aluminum foil or plastic wrap, then heat it up with a blow dryer and leave it on as long as I dared. I gave it 2-3 hours, and rinsed it out. Not a bit of color remained, and surprisingly my gray was actually silver. Anderson Cooper pales in comparison lol.

      • elliesmom says:

I’ve been using a demi-permanent color when my hairdresser was doing it. She was experimenting with different shades to get one that felt natural to me, I’ve been going gray since college so I have to look back a long way to find my “natural color”. My gray hair is actually a nice color. My daughter-in-law keeps chastising me for not just sticking with it. Of course, her hair is hot pink. 😉 I’m not adverse to looking my age. It’s just this time of year the whole world is so gray. And with hair past my shoulders, now I’m a lot of gray, too. What would make me happier would be a haircut, but until RI stablizes driving into the city to find an open hair salon means I risk having to go through the ugliness of hair that isn’t short or long again if they close everything down again.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

I will have to tuck this trick away. I will be needing it down the road. I had quite a bit of hair thinning with the hormone cancer therapy and most of medical staff said when/if it grew back it often came in gray. Well no. It came back with more red tones (strawberry blond that darkened with age but the red always showed more in the summer with sun exposure) . when the gray started up it was in weird patches and mostly one sided. So I have used only Demi to try and even things out. With this hunkering in home mess I have let the color fade almost completely a couple times and the gray is much more becoming more evenly distributed so at some point I will likely just want to chuck any coloring. .

EM go for it, dye your hair. I did or rather my husband did it for me back during the initial lockdown. I’m being totally honest I liked the color, the process and the feel of my hair better with the home kit. As you know we weren’t shut down that long in Florida, my hairdresser was an ass about me dying my own hair, threatened never to touch my hair again🙄 Of course he did and he has, he’s also come in early or stayed late to fit me in around my medical appointments so there’s that.

For what it is worth I used L’OREAL excellence cream. The color held very well and as I said my hair felt softer. I used medium brown and the color was absolutely perfect. My hairdresser is forever blonding me, it’s a recurrent argument we have. My hair gets lighter and lighter until I complain then it gets darker until I’m happy then he slowly starts lightening it🙄 He insists the older you are and the more gray you get you have to go lighter. During the lockdown when my roots grew out I was surprised to notice A) my son has more gray than I do, I’m not even approaching salt and pepper status and B) the gray I have is white like my daddy’s, not yellowy like my mother’s! Anyway I have this give and take, back and forth with my hairdresser, but it’s a small town. Even if I moved to another they all know each other🙄

As for the length, embrace it. You can do all sorts of things with long hair. You’re creative, embark on making your own combs to pull back your bangs or headbands. Treat yourself to some you like online, there are some beautiful ones out there. Buy some plain ones that match your hair color for “casual” days. When I had long hair side combs were my go to, never liked headbands much. Pull it back in a pony tail, high or low one, dealer’s choice. Put it up in a bunch. Have fun, buy some of those as seen on TV magic gizmos that produce the perfect French twist or bun or what have you. Buy some electric curlers, boy has that market expanded.

Bottom line embrace long hair, pamper yourself, spend time on YOU trying different styles. You are worth it! So spend a little extra time on yourself every day. Bonus that time you spend on yourself is time you can spend not listening to the “noise”.

I wish I tried red before I made a deal with my hair to stop abusing her and she would stop falling out. After decades of Sun In blonding I found out I’m naturally a mousy-ash-strawberry blonde anyhow. Was hoping the coarser gray strands would help thicken up the cornsilk texture, but no. Sigh. Definitely my Dad’s Irish DNA, but at least I’m not going bald, yet. My brothers and sisters got Mom’s Italian curly dark’n’thick hair. Hate them 😉

      • Somebody says:

My sister in CA’s gray hair has curl. All of us have fine straight hair, although CA sister’s hair was always a bit thicker. She dyes her hair, but the more gray that comes in the more curl she has. It’s not kinky curls, just soft bouncy type, totally unfair.

I don’t know where the curl comes from either, I can’t think of a single relative with curly hair. Her genealogy DNA was slightly different than my other two siblings too🤣 I didn’t take the DNA tests, no thanks. She had 1 or 2 percent that was different, but we tease her about it, it was some African tribe, can’t remember which one. (Insert family jokes 🤭) Ancestry dot com, still tied her to all the same people, which are mostly known relatives or can be traced easily, but somehow her DNA came up slightly different.🤔

      • elliesmom says:

My hair is silvery gray. It has a lot of body, and there’s a lot of it. Short, it’s wavy, but not curly. Long, it’s straight until it has a real “flip” at the ends. As I said, a hairdo right out of the 70s. If I tip my head upside down and brush from the inside, I have a Texas hair pump. Before I stopped coloring it 6 months ago or so, I was using Clairol Natural Instincts. I have two boxes of it left. It will eventually wash out, but my hair grows fast, and I get a ring of gray at the roots before it does.

When I was in college, my hair was very short, but I had a fall I could attach when I wanted to have long hair. When ED and I started planning our wedding, he told me he always imagined his bride’s hair would be longer than his. He was joking, but I started letting my hair grow out. By the time of our wedding, my hair was long past my shoulders. I hadn’t had long hair since I had it cut to go to Scout camp when I was 10. My at-home hairdresser had great fun doing my hair for our wedding. I definitely had longer hair than the groom. Two weeks after the wedding I cut it all off again.

      • Constance says:

I’ve been thinking of going gray too. I don’t have a good color of gray but you can take the yellow tones out and you can also have dark undertones streaked in for depth and texture. I actually love the whole salon thing so I think I would miss those days if I cut them out completely. In Seattle you can get hair cuts and color but they won’t blow it out. So you go home with wet cold hair and the cut looks weird when it finally dries. I’ve been holding off but I’m getting desperate. I’m thinking of cutting it myself but all of my self haircuts have been disasters. Still there is some weird assed hair out there right now. I saw this 40ish woman with 6 inches of gray and a beautiful intense red with brown streaks on 6 inches of the lower half of her hair. I have never seen hair color hold on that well. Usually even the permanent color fades over 9 months.

    • elliesmom says:

I don’t have gray hair anymore. It came out considerably lighter than the last time I did it. Maybe because I have a lot more hair? I’ll wait a couple of weeks and choose a darker shade. It’s always easier to go darker. But I don’t look as tired and depressed. 🙂

      • Mt.Laurel says:

With the demo, when it gets to that odd stage where there is more gray at the part ( or in my case both natural parts), I use the half swept up, half down look if I think it’s too soon to color again. The odd gray pattern with the underside swept then looks more like a widows peak and intentional.

I hear you on the dull look that reads anemic and depressed. . I just did mine couple weeks ago and when I looked in The mirror i thought maybe I should not wait so long the next time as it perked the face up immensely. Although I mix two shades and this one came out darker. It was hard to find the same colors so i had to improvise. I also cut off the ends and it styled a bit better without the weight,

I was wondering what the reaction would have been if they had rigged the election for anybody but joe. What if they had gone with Tulsi? She was the most palatable dim in my book. Since it was all fake anyhow why not go with someone who has a functioning brain. She is a woman of color to boot. I think I would be less angry with her at the helm.

    • Somebody says:

      They wanted a puppet, duh

    • elliesmom says:

It depends on what their goal was in rigging the election. The process began when Jim Clyburn stepped in to put his thumb on the scale in the South Carolina primary. I have lots of friends who live in South Carolina, but they’re all Republicans. They say Clyburn has enough influence in SC to get all of the Democrats in line, but I don’t know if he does or if he can get an election rigged if he wants to. Tulsi Gabbard is her own person, and while she’s a Democrat, and no one should forget that, she’s probably not willing to be a figurehead president just to be the first woman POTUS. If you look at the people left in the Democrat’s primary at that point, Biden was the one most likely to be willing to be Charlie McCarthy to whoever is really pulling the strings. If Biden gets to fulfill his lifelong dream of living in the White House, fill his family’s coffers with foreign cash, and sniff little girls and harrass women, he probably doesn’t care what else happens in his name. Would Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, Tulsi Gabbard, or Pete Buttigeig been willing to agree to those terms? No, they would have all demanded to be the POTUS for real. Biden was the only real choice.

I assume part was to keep from being aided to the next plane of existence by those that been funding there excess lifestyles.

      • jadzia1971 says:

And on a shallow note, I wouldn’t mind looking at Tulsi’s hot husband as First Gentleman for four years.

    • DeniseVB says:

Why not Hillary is what I always thought, but I guess she wasn’t as controllable as Sleepy Joe? Would have been a good year for John Edwards to make a comeback, he’s definitely less creepy than child fondler Joe, and he’s only 67. I think this was designed as Obama’s third term anyhow and will be as believable as Weekend at Bernies with Joe in the Oval. Not sure how they’re going to slip Kamala in without blowback, her corruption is being well documented now. *diabolically rubbing my hands together* 😀

      • Mothy67 says:

I think killary’s health is shot. She deteriorated from SOS to 2016. Alcohol? Undiluted hatred?

      • elliesmom says:

There was never any love lost between the Clinton faction and the Obama faction in the Democrat Party. For all of their faults and corruption, the Clintons are capitalists. Obama was hand-raised in a den of communists. Putting all the clues together, I think whoever was behind the Obama presidency is who is backing Biden. I don’t think it’s Obama pulling the strings. He and his lovely bride are too vapid to control this massive an effort.

      • Constance says:

You are right. This is Obama’s third term, or the third term of whoever pulled his strings. I wouldn’t put it past the Democrats to dress a sniper in full MAGA and assassinate Biden as he steps away from being sworn in. That would give them a raging dose of outrage and wipe everything else out of the news for a week.

        • lateblum says:

I would guess the presence of 21,000 national guard troops at the inauguration site might circumvent that possibility. But when there’s a will there’s a way. And the Democrats are evil enough to pull it off if they want to (see the JFK assassination).

  3. Mothy67 says:

So who is really in charge of the dims? Is it A star chamber comprised of the likes of soros? Is it the UN.? Davos? I read years ago that Gates was told to get in line or he would be hit with anti trust suits. He got to be the world’s richest man, but they let him know it was with permission. Are the tech giants also following orders. If so whose? A permanent deep state?
It amazes me that conor lamb defeated Sean Parnell. He votes like a CA or NY liberal. His district is nothing like that. Fracking is a yuuuge part of the economy. It makes no sense.

  6. Constance says:

💥 Baron Benjamin de Rothschild (57), banker and Chairman of the Edmond de Rothschild holding company, has died of a heart attack.
This is considered significant by Qs since this is supposed to be suicide weekend as those in control realize they won’t win this time and some take the easy way out.
The Q theory is that the Central bank (Rothschild) controls everything. Their system is falling apart and needs a Great Reset. Usually they do this by starting a war and then when everyone and everything is devastated they impose a new economic system which runs well for 50 or so years until the next war/reset. Trump is trying to collapse the Central bank and put America on a gold standard as well as wipe out our debt and dept payments to Central bankers (USA bankruptcy reorganization). That is why the powerful Central bank establishment hates Trump. Obama is their puppet.

    • Mothy67 says:

I wondered why his death was all over Gab.

    • Constance says:

      And now another one:
“Looks like we have yet another millionaire who has mysteriously committed suicide.
The “Sweet’N Low” mogul, Donald Tober, apparently jumped out of his New York apartment window to his death. Those close with Tober said that he showed no indication of inner strife and that his suicide is a complete shock.”

    • John Denney says:

US debt is in the form of Treasury Bills, nicknamed T-bills. Anyone can buy a T-bill; I’ve owned a few. They come in different denominations and time lengths. They go up for sale regularly, and the buyers redeem them when they reach maturity. The redemption value paid is some percentage more than the original price.

A guest on NEWSMAX said most T-bills are now owned by the Communist Chinese government.

So, if my understanding is correct, the US owes China some $20 trillion dollars.

I’ve heard that if you owe the bank $50k, the bank owns you, but if you owe the bank $50M, you own the bank.

      Interesting times.

I just saw a little of an interview with Anna Schecter on MSNBC. It’s all right wing extremists, that’s why they shutdown Parler. Now all of the “Trump supporters” are on telegram, plotting a mass riot in DC on the 20th. Blah, blah, blah, all Trump, all his fault.

Jonathan Gilliam (ex FBI) said his contacts at the Bureau deny any chatter about the 20th. Maybe there is something, maybe not. But I notice all these on the left talk about right-wing extremists, never left-wing extremists. They should talk about/be concerned about both, then I might listen. An anarchist is an anarchist, they have no loyalty to any party, they just want to overthrow government. And it’s a shame that government gives them so many reasons/excuses to feel that way.

Here is an article from her on the 12th, basically the same stuff she talked about today.

Every conservative group I’ve checked in on says stay out of DC and state capitols. False Flags are planned. Something is clearly up but the Right isn’t planning it.

    • Somebody says:

Exactly Taw, an anarchist is an anarchist and they lean both left and right. They both want to destroy our system of government, but for different purposes.

We do not yet know if they worked together on the 6th or just both happened to be there. I tend to think the latter, but I suppose it is possible there was a loosely formed unholy alliance.

It is wrong and dangerous on the part of politicians, investigators and the media not to acknowledge that BOTH sides have fringe elements.

This is DC this morning, new fencing going up every night. For a virtual inauguration. WTF.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

There has been a lot of, ummmmmm, low flying very loud air traffic this past week and I am still within the no fly zone at home and very inside the no fly zone at work. And even though both are near hospitals I am not talking life flight or the state police. Yea, For a virtual event. . . .

      • taw46 says:

So glad to see you. Wanted to ask if you had ever seen anything like this for an inauguration? Guess the answer is no, lol. Does anyone who lives there question what is going on? So strange.

I have had trouble getting WordPress to load and it has not let me comment for days. Online or using the tablet so I have been mostly lurking,

Was finally able to getter video it to play. They are always moving fencing about DC . they put it up for everything. Window washing, construction….. , but as bow wow mayor has basically closed the city for business or tourists this seems overkill. The boards in the windows are very odd. It’s looks like a ghost town.

The only people talking are the dnc bots at the office.they are over joyed.

Everywhere else, nada. Usually you hear people commenting as this is a big event in the area and regardless of party a lot of jokes back and forth. Nope. Not one person commenting on it being virtual, no one making jokes about the weird timing of it being held in middle of the winter 🥶 when DC looks its worst and that the city is not known for its ability to handle snow and ice and hey lets inaugurate the new guy in the middle of flu season. Not a whisper in grocery store lines, at the gas pump, or neighbors just making conversation. Not even a peep from the volunteers with our rescue who have pink hats and red capes.

I have been going into the office one or two days a week for Snail mail, phone messages from those who do not understand “email” and to do computer backups. I am thinking of going Monday – federal holiday. And Wednesday as it is a local holiday. If that holds this year. If not, Monday only. That way I can avoid the gloating idiots of the other agency staffs. My boss had started going in on weekends but then the new owners decided to turn the air/heat off on Saturday’s so he is currently contemplating other ways to avoid them. The other two of our staff have been solely work from home for years so they only show up once in a blue moon.

Although they are taking appointments for phones that are broken or not working. Another store suggested check mall locations.
