John Kerry Disappointed Australia Wants to Keep Exporting Coal

What a shocker – Australia is not rushing to meet John Kerry’s request to give up one of our main export industries on the timeframe of Kerry’s choosing.

“In less than a month in office, the Biden administration has clearly defined itself and its party as a fascist vanguard, driven by a racist agenda, and unconstrained by constitutional principle. It chooses to rule by presidential diktat, even though it controls both Houses of Congress. It is an aggressive pursuer of political division behind a deceptive smokescreen of “healing” and “unity,” It is busily exploiting a fake “armed insurrection” to justify witch-hunts of the military, the capital police, members of Congress and the opposition media, at the moment Fox and Newsmax, whom they want to suppress. Its legislative radicals have called for the expulsion of half the Republican conference, without rebuke from their leaders. Because these actions are indefensible in a democracy, the Democrat Party is brazenly advancing these destructive, anti-democratic measures using Orwellian doublespeak.”

I was thinking about how to deal with something Ellie and Hank do, and I realized how much people act like dogs. Both of these dogs get all of the food they need, access to the entire house, soft, warm places to sleep, freedom to come and go out of the house anytime they want, physical and mental stimulation, and as much affection as they can tolerate. I tell them how wonderful they are several times a day. On Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, they’re all the way up the pyramid. They have few demands put on them. Please don’t pee or poop on the floor unless you have no other choice available, let me tend to your grooming with as little pushback as you can manage, walk nicely on a leash when I take you for a stroll, come back when I summon you, and don’t bite anyone unless I ask you to.

Lately, we’ve been having some issues with dominance. Ellie weighs about 85 pounds, and Hank about 45. They don’t challenge each other directly. They don’t fight over food. They know there’s enough for both of them, and it no longer matters who I feed first. Whenever I sit down, I make sure there’s room for each of them to have one of my feet. Recently, they’ve taken to stretching full out on the floor to block doors so the other dog is either trapped in a room or blocked from entering. Even at 85 pounds, Ellie can be stepped over, but Hank sits and whimpers when he gets up in the middle of the night to get a drink and finds himself blocked from coming back to bed. Hank likes to block Ellie from coming into the living room. She’s more vocal about being blocked, but her barking at him doesn’t get Hank to budge. She could get him to move if she stepped on him, but she doesn’t. When Ellie blocks Hank from being able to reach the outside door, and he needs to go out, he runs around in circles, but he won’t jump over her.

This is how I think the Democrats and Republicans in DC act. They all have everything they need. They make much more money than the average citizen. On Maslow’s Hierarchy, they, too are sitting at the top of the pyramid. They really have nothing to fight about, and they don’t really fight. They just do things to challenge each other’s dominance without really hurting each other. Sometimes one side wins, and sometimes the other, and neither side vanquishes the other. But while they keep at it, it’s the rest of us who lose sleep, have to clean up messes, and keep them pacified enough there’s no reason for a real fight to ever break out. We aren’t really invested in one side winning over the other. We just want them to stop and start working together to make a happy place for all of us to live.

I can put a bowl of water in my bedroom so Hank doesn’t have to go in or out the door in the middle of the night. I can adjust the position of the sofa so Hank isn’t big enough to block the entrance to living room. The question is if I eliminate the little things they can do to annoy each other, will the dominance game escalate from petty annoyance to more hurtful things?

Intersting delima. As the pack leader, you can make the blocker get out of the way each time. Or maybe help the other one to walk over the blocker. That might have a longer term effect to make it stop. As in, the blocker is not just blocking the other, but blocking everyone, including the real leader. You never know if helping them avoid confrontation is helping or doing the opposite. The confrontation may need to happen to settle things.

I had similar little things with my dachshunds as they entered their teens. I took steps to eliminate the daily challenges and in our case it worked, they didn’t escalate. It was more like they got the message stop, mom is tired of our crap.

My situation is quite different though, these are sisters and they came into the house at the same time, plus they’re small. My girls still have spats now and again, but they are far and few between.

BBL, I have to go nebulizer my little boy doggo now.

I want my cooking sites to focus on good recipes and techniques again. I want my sewing sites to be about sewing again. I want the places I go to get knitting tips to be about knitting and not about why knitting is tied up in white supremacy. I’m sorry Vermont has so few black people. Maybe it has more to do with how cold-ass your state is than anything else. What the hell is “food sovereignty”? Who is telling people they can’t eat culturally appropriate food in this country? I’ve only heard we can’t eat food from other people’s heritage because it’s “appropriation”. Only four more days, right?

Maybe find different sites. And, when you leave, tell the admin or even the membership that you’ve had it with their political bickering and you might be back once they grow up.

I posted comments on several blogs saying in no uncertain terms…”I’m sick of your Leftist drivel in real life and on line. I come here for info on the blog topic so shut it or I’m gone. You are boring everyone with this BS. ” It’s best if you call them out immediately because these types are creatures of habit. True it will make some people not like you but why should you care if a bunch of obnoxious scolding Libs like you or not. It is actually a benefit to have them expending their effort to avoid you.

      • elliesmom says:

The daily video at one of my favorite sites is usually someone cooking a fabulous baked good. The video shows the technique, and the recipe is included. Most of the videos this month have been about black bakers. No good recipes. No technique. Just about “food sovereignty”, “food justice”, “racial inequities” and where to donate money to help the cause. Today’s baker was making cookies, I’d guess, from the “artsy video”. Auntie is like butter, Grandpa ia salty, the little kids were sugar, the cousins were the flour, and Grandma was the eggs because she binds the family together. Please donate money to an urban gardening cooperative on the west coast.

I figured out the guy must have been making sugar cookies although without any flavoring added, they wouldn’t be very tasty. We never saw him actually make them. It’s their site, and they can post anything they like, but I’m getting bored. If you want me to celebrate Black History Month in my kitchen teach me how to cook soul food like a pro. I got some really cool Chinese recipes and techniques the week ramping up to the lunar new year. When it’s early May, the cooking sites will have Mexican recipes galore, but Black History Month just comes with requests for money.

BREAKING BIG: New York Democrats Hold Outdoor Presser Calling for Charges Against Governor Cuomo (VIDEO)

New York Assembly member Ron Kim, a Democrat, and Jessica Ramos, a Democrat, held a rally at City Hall on Wednesday. Kim was joined by fellow elected officials, advocates, and the family members of seniors, to announce a key list of demands from the Cuomo administration. The victims want justice!

The ruling Democrat Cabal is afraid Cuomo will run for president. He isn’t vapid and good puppet material so they need to eliminate him.

I’m not going to touch another thing on this blog today, I swear! Thanks Lola for fixing the bad link and using your beautiful photo. I’ve never had a bad link approved by WP much less pass the preview test for sharability. What a mess, sorry for the inconvenience guys. Once I found out it was a malware link, I trashed the test link comment which took Lola’s comment and my response to her with it. Just got back from PT to try and fix it. So we are here now……I hope you enjoy the sweet pansies 😀

Oh my husband🙄 He just got off the phone with my son. My son was out and about looking for a 3 sided project board. Seems my middle granddaughter has a black history assignment and she messed up her lettering. Target only had the large size like for a science project, my son was hunting for the smaller size.

My husband was confused, why not just buy the larger size and geter done, just add some more pictures and a few more details, piece of cake. My son says that might be a little difficult dad she was assigned Kamala Harris. My husband replies “Kamala Harris? Piece of cake, just slap up some pictures of hookers, a pair of knee pads and a picture of Willie Brown” My son replies “Dad we’re in the van and you’re on speaker”🤗🤭 My granddaughters immediately inquire what is a hooker🤣🤣 My son says, thanks dad🤣🤣🤣🤣
