Lab rat report: Short version, I feel fine.
I don’t have any symptoms I wouldn’t normally. Mild headache, but the air is 99% pollen and we have a front going through. My joints don’t hurt anymore than usual.
I may have had something going on during the night because my usual temperature oscillations (I haven’t been able to regulate temperature since menopause) seemed a little more severe than usual. But I don’t have any fatigue and I don’t feel like I’m running a fever this morning.
Wake county is switching the J&J vaccines to Pfizer after the 18 reactions at the PNC center. The Friendly center in Orange county (where I got mine) doesn’t seem to have had any reactions, despite being in the same batch, but they’re halting too. So glad I got mine yesterday.
I still think a lot of the reactions were from anxiety. Since I exist in a state of existential horror anyway, I’m used to those (you don’t want to be with me in airports…it’s not pretty).

    • Somebody says:

      Glad you are feeling fine.

So what is Wake county going to do with the doses of J&J they received? The lots of vaccines are huge and the doses from the same lot# are shipped throughout the country to multiple states. There have been problems in Colorado and North Carolina, from everything I’ve read none life threatening.

Think about the decision made by Wake county. We have people that reported tummy trouble so we’re suspending that vaccine and replacing it with one that it appears several thousand have died after taking😏 Me personally, I’d get in the tummy trouble line if given a choice.

It would be nice to know if CO and NC had the same lot# or if the doses in question were handled by the same intermediary since we know the batch in NC was somehow handled by an intermediary, who was that intermediary? Was the vaccine kept at the appropriate temperatures throughout transport? It would be really nice to know where the lot#’s in question were manufactured. I can tell you that is not easy to find out as a consumer, but I’m sure someone with the state or federal government knows.

My four family members all had doses from the same lot#. When the manufacturing issue hit the news I started immediately trying to find out where it was manufactured. I found out that lot# was in multiple states. I finally found a news article about so many doses arriving in Washington state, the article was about J&J arriving in Washington. It gave details including the lot# and number of doses. I found out from that article those doses and that lot# were part of the initial 3.9 million doses delivered to the US by J&J, that were divided up amongst the states. I know from other articles following the J&J vaccine and approval process. That the initial batch was manufactured by Janssen a subsidiary of J&J and they were manufactured in Belgium. So I deduced my entire family had gotten vaccines from that initial dose and where it was made in Belgium by Janssen. I don’t know that for a fact, but I doubt they reuse lot numbers at least not that quickly. It took me days to unravel all of that🙄 In the end it made sense because as soon as J&J arrived here we moved forward to get our vaccines.

I’m nobody surfing the internet. Health officials in Wake County or with the state of NC or with the federal government should be able to quickly ascertain the pertinent information. The feds know exactly where the rest of that lot# went, where it was made, who transported it. They also know if the CO and NC batches are the same. The reaction and lack of information is bizarre, you’d hear more information about a bad batch of lettuce🙄 If there is an issue let’s hear it. Was it on the manufacturing end? Was it with the transportation? J&J says the reactions reported in CO are normal, so are they? If so, why the drama?

Once again, I think Anthony’s theory seems to be the most plausible. J&J must be destroyed because Fauci and Gates don’t have their finger in that pie.

      • Miranda says:

The CDC hasn’t found any problems. The shot is in my arm, and I’m going to let it go. I’ve actually developed about 2 degrees of fever, but it’s coming down per my last temperature check (using only 1 orifice everyone will be glad to know).

        • lyn5 says:

LOL. My sister usually tells me more than I want to know.

        • Constance says:

I’m glad you are doing well. It’s a weird feeling knowing the shot is in your arm and you might have changed your mind. I think half my symptoms have been panic related. Although I am sure I was freezing and had really swollen armpits for a few days. My friend who got hers at the same time is hopping around like the energizer bunny. She is conducting Spring cleaning on a level I couldn’t organize.

        • Somebody says:

Hope you continue to do well Miranda. You should be reaching the end of your side effects soon. Everybody is different of course, but for everyone in my family when they hit the 24 mark, poof side effects gone except the sore arm.

          • Somebody says:

Ack, 24 HOUR mark…..24 hours pist vaccination

          • Somebody says:

Post not pist, I give up🙄

I promise I have not been day drinking🙄

          • lateblum says:

I’m sorry to hear that! Lolol

          • Miranda says:

Fever’s down although I’m not back to my full lizard level. I usually run about 97.4. I’ve been tired all day but that could be the awful, awful weather. I’m planning Nyquil to deal with any symptoms and get sleep tonight.
            Glad it’s done.

    • foxyladi14 says:

Happy to hear that, you are feeling fine. ❤

    • elliesmom says:

My friend who visited me a few weeks ago had the J&J yesterday. So far no adverse effects. She made her choice on what she could get closest to home and is delighted to be in the “one and done” group.

    • lateblum says:

I’m happy to hear that you are doing well. 😘

    • ginainmo says:

I got my second Moderna vaccine a little over two weeks ago. Absolutely no reaction to the first dose, after the second I had a lump at the injection site and a sore arn for a couple of days.

      This lab rat feels lucky.

  2. Somebody says:

Prince Phillip just passed away at the age of 99.

    • Swan Spirit says:

We should all live so long. Married to the Queen for 73 years. R.I.P.

    • Anthony says:

Let’s see what Harry and MeAgain do about this. Are they going to stick to their “The Royal Family is racist!!” bullshit? Or will they show up and suck up to QE2 for their inheritance? I put ten bucks on the latter.

      • Somebody says:

I immediately thought about Harry and his wife and wondered how Markle will play it to garner as much attention as possible. I truly hope if they attend the funeral they do so with dignity. The Queen doesn’t need their crap right now. If they can’t behave or if they skip out and lob incoming from across the pond, me thinks the Queen will not be amused. Straw meet camel’s back.

        • Mt.Laurel says:

I believe PP had requested very low key send off even before covid crap so there might not really be an opportunity for H and M to hog the faux victim spotlight.

And I think the UK still has 14 day quarantine in place for those on USA and Canadian flights and supposedly devious duo no longer qualify for any exceptions other than they can be to,d to stay put in a crown property and not the local equivalent of the red roof inn 🏨 .

Will hope they are just told to just stay put in their Mc Chicken Coop.

        • lateblum says:

My immediate thoughts as well, Somebody. I wondered what evil Princess Sparkle would do to turn the attention onto her. Will she threaten Harry to make him stay home? Will she fuss about her pregnancy and/or create a pregnancy-related crisis? How will the death of the Queen’s Consort be overshadowed by the cute, but B-grade actress?
I guess it already is, given where our thoughts and concerns are.

          • Mt.Laurel says:

If she is pregnant, she should stay out of chicken coops and away from chickens. Sparkles is 40. Not a naive teen and I am sure she tells medical team she knows more but this is not rocket science. Did Okra nor her crew not tell hell NO to squatting in chicken poo? makes me ask is the she really pregnant or is Okra that craptastic?

          • lateblum says:

Great questions. Of course, we all have our own thoughts about the Duchess of See Me related to those queries.
And Okra is that craptastic afaic.

          • Mt.Laurel says:

You can tell that both sparkles and okra think they are above the peons. The put this on film and then sent it around the world. At least the very dim guy formerly known as price Harry off to the side appeared to have been given only a supporting role of the clueless and ungrateful idiot.

        • Anthony says:

          From your lips

      • Constance says:

Harry will go for sure. MeAgain should be too ashamed.

      • helenk3 says:

meagain should stay home. She would probably get stoned if she goes. And in the future she should step very lightly. The Queen was attending to a sick husband who was the love of her life and will be in mourning, but look out when she comes back. I would never get Lizzy POed. Meagain has stepped over the line with the oprah show and will pay. Harry is a whimp and he will pay along with her.

        • Anthony says:

My money is on Liz. Just because she’s Queen doesn’t mean she’s soft. She’ll cut a bitch. You can see it in her eyes.

      • Angie says:

They handled it even worse than I expected.
        “He will be missed” 🙄

    • lateblum says:

When I went to stay with the g-girlies this morning before taking them to school, I mentioned the news of PP’s death. GG#1 said she wasn’t interested because “I don’t live in England”. So that of course led to a discussion of the role of the Royal Family in the World. The world that GG is a part of. When I showed her pictures of the Prince and the Queen at their wedding, her coronation, them with their family, etc, she perked right up and asked so many questions about line of succession and why PP wasn’t the king, and about Diana and on and on…
I was so proud of her for thinking of these questions and of giving herself the chance to learn more about another culture – one that didn’t have to swim across the Rio Grande – or walk hundreds of miles in the desert (this is, of course all they hear in their school now). She actually had me look for more photos on my iPad and answer even more questions.
(She and Calamity find me annoying when it comes to providing learning opportunities outside of school.) Then they go right out and tell their friends what they just learned. Moments later, they are inviting me to their soccer games forgetting about how “agnoying” I am. 😉

      • elliesmom says:

My grandson is like that, too. “If I go visit Bubs when I have a school project due, she’ll make me do twice as much work as my teacher expects. Groan!” Last night on the phone- “I’m coming to your house for April school vacation. I have another history project due at the end of April. Do you think you could help me find some cool stuff my teacher hasn’t thought to teach us?” I think it’s great the girls find you so annoying. All children should have a grandmother who annoys them. 😉

        • lateblum says:

          Good on you, em!
I can tell you that I smiled all the way to school in the car this morning while they talked about how “agnoying” I am. 😉

        • Somebody says:

Now I feel like a slouch, I’ve only annoyed my grandkids lately with fashion and music lessons. Only the younger two are interested in piano lessons.

To be fair for 5 years I “annoyed” them daily with such things as learning to walk, talk, use the potty, the alphabet, phonics and learning to read.😉

The pandemic break has been nice, but I miss the daily interactions. The first couple of months I cherished the break, but since then I miss seeing the girls daily. It’s been good for them in other ways though, my son has been home and more involved. They’ve bonded more as a family and that’s good to see. I probably did too much and my son let me because his life was hectic and because I’m his mom and perhaps a bit pushy and bossy, just a skosh so I’ve been told.😉

I’ll soon be back in the saddle though. It appears my son will return to his office in July. I should be all recovered from chemo and radiation by then, in fact the timing lines up perfectly.

        • lateblum says:

          Bravo!!!

        • lateblum says:

I’ve gotta say that if I can’t be “agnoying” (their word) to them on a fairly regular basis, I ought to put away my granny shingle for good. 😉
          Same for you, Mothy, 😘

So nazi pelosi bails out NY with federal money and NY creates a 2.1 billion dollar fund to compensate illegals for covid. Each illegal may get over 15,000 per person. NY isn’t paying for this the whole country is.

    • Constance says:

    Media is whitewashing Hunter!! 👿

  8. Mothy67 says:

I highly doubt Hunter is clean. Crack kills. I assume for his teeth to be that degraded he was a long time regular user. People just don’t walk away from that. I bet he is being medicated and has a team watching him. He wrote a book seemingly making light of his history. I have seen no humility or remorse. He will likely revert. Maybe this is all coming to light now so they can get Joe to step down.

    • Myiq2xu says:

Maybe this is all coming to light now so they can get Joe to step down.

That would be the ultimate twofer. They bury the story to get Biden elected. Once Orange Man Bad is out of office they use the story they buried to force Biden to step-down so Willie Brown’s Booty Call can take over.

If WBBC can’t get her shit together by the midterms they’ll select a challenger who they think can beat Trump in 2024. You’ll know that Kamalatoe is finished when the media starts talking about her “relationship” with Willie. When the media turns on a Democrat, everything is fair game and Leftist immunity no longer applies.

Just look at the Fredo brothers.

      • lyn5 says:

I doubt it matters when the media lie 24/7 and enough people eat their caca.

      • Gojoy says:

Do you think Hillary is maneuvering to replace Kamala before Joe resigns?

        • Mothy67 says:

          Ugh

        • elliesmom says:

I’m not sure how that would work out for her. If Harris resigns, there would be no one to break a tie in the Senate, and whoever Biden nominated would have to get majority votes in both the House and the Senate. While there are a couple of Republican senators who can be counted on to vote with the Democrats, I’m not sure Hillary Clinton could get a majority of Democrats, and she would need them all.

      • Constance says:

I don’t know, why would Joke Biden resign over this? He is only half there and can’t accurately read situations and Democrats just pretend what ever they want with no tether to reality all the time so I don’t think Biden will resign for any reason He is the perfect puppet, who ever is in control will fight to keep him and voting Democrats are so burdened with the energy suck of constant cognitive dissonance and the constant virtue signalling that they won’t notice. Half of them are dumber that dirt anyway.

Amelia Island is looking better and better, Denise. You & Mr. Denise will be my first guests.

      • Mothy67 says:

Have you lived outside of Manhattan for any significant amount of time?

        • lyn5 says:

Anthony has lived throughout the world.

          • Mothy67 says:

I meant when not planning to return to NY. Manhattan is like a drug. It took me awhile to acclimate to the burbs and I only lived in the Apple for around 20 years. I think he grew up in the city.

        • Somebody says:

If he moves to Amelia Island and gets too homesick for NYC, I’ll just follow him around shouting insults so he feels at home.

BTW, told hubby you said Mr. and Mrs. Denise will be your first guests. Hubby’s reply was “Really? We’ll see about that, this is a small town we’ll know where he lives” Technically he threw in a bad word, but I omitted it😉

Paris for almost 7 years. It was my headquarters when I worked in world beat music.

How long ago was that? I do not find Paris charming AT ALL (I go if I have business to conduct or if I have to go there to travel somewhere else and that’s it), but suspect I would have felt differently a few decades ago. If I got to choose where to live in France, I think I would choose Nantes or Lyon. Nantes is my favorite city, but Lyon is closer to parts of Europe that are not-France.

          • Anthony says:

From 1982 – 89. 17 Rue Lemercier in the 17th, but most of my time was spent in the streets (and back alleys lol) of Pigalle.
I wouldn’t go back there now if you put a gun to my head. Back then, Paris was Paris. Now, it’s Kabul.

I would definitely consider Grasse (I think). My mom’s family has a huge very old place in St. Paul de Vence. They got it on the 1940s. They’re Parisienne for centuries, but my grandmother’s sister was supposedly having an affair with Chagall… I’m skeptical but wouldn’t put anything past her lol. More likely, it was the proximity to the casinos in Monte Carlo that encouraged her to buy that house

          • taw46 says:

I found Paris to be charming when I visited, but that was many years ago (2002). So much has changed now. Same with London. When I visited, it was still very “British”. Not so much anymore.

          • jadzia1971 says:

The smaller cities are the name of the game in Europe. Less expensive, less crowded, and generally have held on to a bit more of their culture.

        • Anthony says:

Manhattan is only a drug for people who moved here from other places. Natives are immune to that addiction.

          • Mothy67 says:

Makes sense. I never ceased to be amazed by the city. It was like living in an adult amusement park, albeit an expensive one. Raised there that is just what it is for many. I loved always having to be on my toes. I’d have preferred to move to the country than the burbs. When the kid is done with high school I will. Give me an extreme.
