Good Morning Everyone. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Tom called from the hospital last night. I was so glad to hear his voice. He was finally settled into a room after hours of being in the emergency having tests done.

He is in a double room, but the other bed is empty so he has the room to himself.

He said everyone there was nice. They gave him a dinner of chopped steak, peas and potatoes. Sounds good.. He ate very little because he still wasn’t hungry.

I have to say that he sounded much better than when he left the house on a stretcher in the morning. His voice was stronger and more normal.

He is still in pain though. They are giving him morphine to control it.

Today he should be getting the results of the tests. So keep your fingers crossed.

    Thanks again for your prayers.

I was furious listenning to Graham on Ingraham last night. He has the audacity to act like he is somehow opposing what is taking place at the border. It is by design and he is a part of it.
I think they are all owned. They do as they are told. It is theater when they fake opposition.
For some reason I thought of Aaron Shock. He was elected to Congress as a young conservative. He voted against some pro gay legislation in accordance with the wishes of his constituents. He was accused of being anti gay and attacked for his personal life. He has since been outed. He was forced to resign over misspending campaign funds. Yep jail or retire. Seriously. He had, the story goes, done his office like Downton Abby. Hmmm. chelsea sits on a number of boards earning vast monies to do nothing, maxine’s daughter gets six figures to lick envelopes, our tax dollars pay to cover sexual harassment but this dandy mispent a few thousand on . he was not given the option of repayment. Jail or resign. Nothing has come of Epstein or the mass murder in Vegas.Schumer said seven ways to Sunday and they keep us distracted with nonsense like chick with dicks.
    Ugh. Are we doomed?

The Effects of Vitamin D and COVID-Related Outcomes
An overwhelming volume of research makes it clear that this hormone produced in our skin can save lives
BY JOSEPH MERCOLA July 19, 2021 Updated: July 19, 2021 biggersmaller Print
Do you know your vitamin D level? If not, getting your blood tested—and optimizing your levels—is one of the simplest and most straightforward steps you can take to improve your health, including in relation to COVID-19. Vitamin D, as an immunomodulator, is a perfect candidate for countering the immune dysregulation that’s common with COVID-19.

As early as November 2020, it was known that there were striking differences in vitamin D status among people who had asymptomatic COVID-19 and those who became severely ill and required intensive care unit (ICU) care. In one study, 32.96 percent of those with asymptomatic cases were vitamin D deficient, compared to 96.82 percent of those who were admitted to the ICU for a severe case.

This article is not that long, but the bottom line is that if you catch the Covid, and are admitted to the hospital, ask for Vitamin D3, it will keep you alive, and out of the ICU. Some of the results even included an IV bolus of Vitamin D3, in very large doses, to prevent the Cytokine storm that can be fatal.

      • lateblum says:

During my check up at the beginning of the C19 pandemic, my PCP told me to ELIMINATE vitamin D3 from my vitamin regimen because my levels were “dangerously high”. When I stated I was taking D3 to help protects against the virus, she said she didn’t care. My levels were “too high”. So I ended up decreasing it by half – for a while. I finally went back up to 3000 iu again and added the Quercetin and zinc.

At one point during the last 16 months, Fauci reported that he takes 6000 iu of D3/day. I figured he wouldn’t do that if he didn’t think it helped.
(That he got the “jab” is meaningless to me. For all I know the syringe was filled with glucose or saline.)

        • Mothy67 says:

I wonder what doses are acceptable with different weights and genders. My D.O.was a big advocate of D. Many people do not get 15 minutes a day of direct sunlight. Probably a lot more during lockdown. It’s fat soluble so you can build up toxic levels.

        • Miranda says:

A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble vitamins. You can have a build-up of them, and they can have negative impacts.
          https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/can-you-overdose-on-vitamins

        • lateblum says:

thanks, Mir. Btw, the last blood test I had -after beginning the Quercetin, zinc, and increasing the D3 showed normal levels of D3, along with bp, cholesterol, and everything else.
I know it sounded like I might not have investigated, but I did look into what the levels were and what toxic D3 levels could mean. It was after looking into it, that I dec’d the D3.
Also, when I had my back surgery a few years ago, I had PT in the six months following surgery. After every few sessions, the therapist had to file a report to Medicare, and one of the mandated questions was whether I regularly took D3 and in what amount. I asked about that and the therapist explained that Medicare was concerned that people were not getting adequate D3 for optimal health. (Probably thinking that older and disabled consumers were not taking good care of themselves.) Medicare was advocating vitamins, particularly D3.

I think they are planting them in “demographically selected” areas, to influence the census and the vote.

    • lateblum says:

Since Illinois lost 1 Congressional representative due to declining census, I would imagine we’ll be seeing an increase in number of people and numbers of Covid as well.

  12. elliesmom says:

While I have no respect for the Texas Fleebaggers, I am grateful for what they’ve done. This was not a group of strangers who got on a plane together. This was a group of people who had extensive contact with each other prior to taking this trip. The infection probably happened before they boarded the plane. The odds they all got the virus from different sources are astronomical. That makes the question was there one unvaccinated person with covid all of them came in contact with, or as vaccinated people, were they able to spread the virus to each other? The answer may change the whole vaccine narrative.

If there is one unvaccinated person (or even two) that gave all of them covid, then that person should be able to be found easily. The contaminated group is small, they all know each other, and it’s a small window of time. Put someone from the Austin Board of Health on it, and the person will be found faster than they find the person who spread gonorrhea at the prom.

But if it turns out these vaccinated people spread covid to each other, that would be a gamechanger. Vaccine passports would be rendered useless. People would be truly free to make their own decisions about how the risk of the vaccine compares to the risk of dying from th virus. People refusing it would not be “morally bankrupt” for putting others at risk because the only additional risk would be to themselves. Covid-19 then becomes a virus we live with like the flu or the common cold. We find ways to mitigate its effects and wait for the next crisis they don’t let go to waste.

These Texas Democrats have provided a nearly perfect test case, and there a few people out there who will follow up on it, even if the CDC doesn’t.

I called Tom a few times this morning, but his phone was turned off.

Of course, being the nervous wreck that I am, I was sure something must be wrong.

So I called the nurses’ station.

When the nurse came to the phone, she told me that Tom was still in pain, but that his vital signs were good.

He had eaten breakfast this morning and was sitting in a chair talking to the therapist.

That made me feel a little better.

I just flipped on American Horror Stories. I could be wrong but I think Ryan Murphy might be gay. Paris Jackson and Cindy Crawford’s daughter co star. Paris is beautiful, but looks like a full fledged adult playing a high school kid.

          • Mothy67 says:

I was being facetious about him being gay. He is so so so so gay. I question if it is my age or my own embedded self hate that causes me to ask why he has to make every program he creates super homo. I wonder is it necessary. Then I think no one makesme watch and the same stuff has been done with straight sex on cable forever. I do think he can be a very poignant writer. Sometimes close to brilliant and then he loses track of where he’s going and sputters all over the place. I watched Cult which was about the fallout from 2016 and was impressed that he took quite a few stabs at both sides. His latest is an antholgy series. It dealt with cyber pranking/bullying. It could have been an evocative piece, and I was hoping that the two hour format would pare down his tendency to jump all over the place. Like a short story as opposed to a rambling novel. Nope he again goes off on tangents. I do like his work and realize my reaction to his making everything gay themed says a lot about me. Really don’t watch it if it makes you uncomfortable. In a world with thousands of shows every audience can be catered to. I grew up where/when you had to hide. My reaction is about me not him.

          • lateblum says:

Honestly, I don’t care if he’s gay or straight or curved or whatever. I just thought Ryan Murphy sounded like a name I ought to know. Perhaps he was a politician or an actor. So it was strictly curiosity based on nothing more than an Irish name thrown into the discussion.

Bill Gates- and George Soros-Backed Organization Buys Out COVID-19 Testing Company
BY JACK PHILLIPS July 20, 2021 Updated: July 20, 2021 biggersmaller Print
A consortium backed by George Soros and Bill Gates has joined a buyout of Mologic, a COVID-19 testing company.

The Soros Economic Development Fund, an arm of Soros’ Open Society Foundations, confirmed in a July 19 statement that it has partnered with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The Soros–Gates collaboration is part of the Global Access Health initiative, which will invest “at least” $41.1 million in the project, according to the statement.

“The group has financed the acquisition of Mologic Ltd, a world-leading innovator in the development of lateral flow and rapid diagnostic technologies including tests that can help combat tropical diseases such as dengue, bilharzia, and river blindness, as well as for COVID-19,” the statement reads, noting that the purchase is an attempt to “expand access to affordable state-of-the-art medical technology through decentralized research, development, and manufacturing” in developing countries.

It was a different time and then we got a little four letter disease to make it oh so much more fun. I have to question me when I react to his tales with why does he have to make everything so gay. I have thoughts like does he have always go there. I didn’t mean you should watch something else I meant me. When I was a kid I had no one to express my fear and solitude to. I was born with a bum ticker to a teenage mom. We were broke like really broke. Not hurting. I went to four high schools because we were always losing the roof. I dealt with lots of shame. there was an outhouse at one point. I was raised very

    • Mothy67 says:

Ugh meant as a response to lateblum. I am asking myself why I react to things strongly. I have questions for myself about how critical I am of transgenders and gay’s making babies. I don’t go on twitter or shitbook and express my thoughts. I don’t believe I have ever been cruel to another in that way. I say a lot here I never express beyond here. This place. It’s funny I had to run to stand still as a young man. I didn’t go away to college to become an engineer- I was complete trash I thought engineers were the guys who drove trains. I ran away. I could hear carpenter ants eating the walls at night. I took a test which led to a scholarship. I was washing dishes at 16 I went out drinking after work. I am sure I did some coke. I took my SAT’s. I took them with no dreams of going off to school. I did well enough that schools looked at me. I went to Purdue and bought self hypnosis tapes to cure myself. I had been given a lot of hurt and just wanted to leave Tim behind. I loved Purdue, but I transferred to Temple because I knew I could not go on forever pretending I was straight. I treasure Anthony. His story is different. It might be a thousand times harder. I can’t know. He wouldn’t have taken a pill to be straight. I would have then (not now) to have never had my parents beat me to have never cried in shame to not be mocked pissed on and beaten. Yeah in 1983 I would have loved to have had a friend. I hadn’t even ever openly looked at a person for whom I felt attraction. i couldn’t. I transferred to Temple University because I loved being at Purdue but I knew my secret couldn’t last forever. I went to the library and looked at Lisa Birnbauch’s (sp?) Preppy quide to college it listed gay friendly schools so I went to Temple. I ain’t intelligent. I ran from everything all my life. I ran from me.
One of life’s truly odd things is that I ended up here. I forget the year but I think I was still in Philly. A mini series aired called I Know My First Name is Steven. I cried so hard when the young man who had been abducted by a pedophile was sitting back in life drinking a beer in a trailer. I felt like I understood his “ptsd”. The mini series was written by the same guy who wrote The Days of Wine and Roses. I saw some of my truth in a tv movie. Not saying I was molested I was sawed open had my heart lifted out plugged with teflon and pig valves put back in my little chest and then oops we used a new wire to put you back together it broke so you have to live with a chest which is half an inch higher on one side because you need to spend a month in a chest cast. I have a split level entry to my heart. I suppose it may have been trendy in the 70’s. I hate taking my shirt off. How fucked up is everything when I met Elizabeth Taylor she said you look like Monty with my eyes. Back the freud down Liz I have better eyes. Yep my orbits permitted me entry to and with some major players. Blah blah blah I continued to fuck up on just the side of responsibility. I was going no where fast. Shay was born. Elliesmom who is honestly a hero said when I was in detox that my mom was a nurse and that down the road I might have to step up. Hahaha. My mom is why I stayed in Pittsburgh. I was never going to let her own Shay’s person. I love my mom but she is the kind of person who in the late 1980’s after I had been abused at home and significantly on the street walked into my room crying and said are you going to embarass me by going to those parades. She never asked me how I felt.everyday of my life was spent trying to not hurt them. I was born a defect, not a tad bit irregular. You wouldn’t find me half off at the tj maxx irregular store. I was not fit. I lived and somehow got an IQ well above average. I had something akin to Tetrology of Fallot. I had a few bonus points like blah blah blah Most if not caught early end up with retardation. I had my surgeries at 3.5. I had broke parents with no life experience. Yes my mom became a nurse but it was about her not me. I love my mom. I accept her. But rest assured I stayed in Pittsburgh because I protect my brat. I could not walk away and leave a ninth month old child with them. I love them but no no no no. I love my mom she is who she is.
So a few years into being a regular at The Crawdad Hole I find out our benefactor lives in Merced. Steven Staynor. I had never shed a tear for me in my life. I don’t cry anyhow unless my dad dies in front of me and I have to pull my mom off saying let him go. Even then I have to hide in a corner and scream. Steven Staynor’s story ripped me apart. What are the odd’s that Klown grew up in the same town. I can’t ever hate Sharon, my mom. Maybe I would have traversed life resenting her for the past. I have read so many stories of you mothers dealing with sick kids. I get to understand my mom better because you shared. It’s a little bit funny this revealing she has a crush on Richard Grenell, but can’t forgive me for being gay. In part because of you people Shay is healthy.
