      • elliesmom says:

A tsunami starts under the ocean and creates a “bottom up wave”- unlike a regular ocean wave which starts at the surface and ends just a few feet below. As the energy in the tsunami moves across the ocean, it encounters friction from the bottom of the ocean, which isn’t flat. The friction causes the water at the bottom of the wave to move more slowly than the water at the surface, which is what causes the wave to “crest”. The water in a wave moves in circles. Only the wave motion moves forward- not the water. You can see that birds and boats bob up and down in the ocean, but don’t move forward with a wave. A surfer needs a wave to crest. The wave crests when the top of the wave is moving enough faster than the water at the bottom of the circle that the water falls over on itself. We see that at the shore, but waves can crest in the middle of the ocean, and that includes a tsunami. It’s the crest that causes the damage. Ships in the middle of the ocean can have a tsunami move under them unnoticed.

Between the Canary Islands and the east coast of the US is a huge underwater mountain range called the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Before the wave in the tsunami hits us, it’s going to slam into this ridge dissipating a lot of energy in the wave. It won’t be water from the Canary Islands that reaches the US. All of the water that would be in the tsunami wave is already here. So the question is after the “event” that begins the tsunami sets the wave in motion, how much energy will be left in the wave after it travels thousands of miles and slams into the biggest mountain range on the Earth? It’s hard to say what kind of event to expect here without knowing what kind of energy this event across the Atlantic is going to create. There are hundreds of small tsunamis that hit the east coast every year caused by small earthquakes under the ocean. For the most part people on th coast don’t even notice. I’m not planning to need my canoe.

        • Somebody says:

The tsunami near the Canary Islands will supposedly be around 1,000 ft, but what reaches the east coast will supposedly be around 100 feet.

          • elliesmom says:

I don’t think it will be anywhere near that unless the whole island chain explodes in a giant volcanic eruption. Even then, not a 100 ft wave here. But I’m all in for a little nature fear on a Friday morning. It distracts from all of the other things we could actually do something about. This would be caused by plate tectonics, and if the idiots want to start an insane government takeover to stop that, I already have the tee shirt.

The Jesuit CIA and Pentagon are obsessed with the Eschaton. If Al Gore’s fake climate and Tom Hanks’ fake plagues and Tawana Clinton’s fake terrorists on 9/11 and George Soros’s fake market apocalypses won’t do it … the new Queen may set off some submersible nukes from the ocean floor. Suicide fantasies are pure megalomaniac narcissism. It all ends with me. It’s gay.

          • elliesmom says:

When the rift in the floor of the Atlantic Ocean gets wide enough, the whole ocean is going to fall inside of it leaving us able to walk to Europe. 🙂

          • threewickets says:

Like I said, pure narcissism. The Vatican is self-worship in the form of the Holy Ghost who resides in the spot vacated by your soul. The Jesuit CIA simply follows. I don’t think the Pentagon is taking carte blanche orders from the CIA anymore tho.

    • swanspirit says:

7 to 9 hours, to respond to a tsunami isn’t much, but it’s better than nothing. Still, there aren’t that many roads out of town, here. And with the whole East Coast fleeing, things could get interesting, fast.

    • DandyTIger says:

Hey, maybe I’ll have beach front property if this happens! 🙂

      • lateblum says:

Don’t laugh, I live a block from the lake (Michigan) and the rate of erosion at the beach has been – until this summer – serious. Last summer that joke about owning beachfront property seemed like it would be a reality sooner rather than later. Thanks to the weather’s drought-like this year, and smaller snowfall last winter, we appear to have been spared from having sand in the backyard. But with BLM and ANTIFA being so prominent here, we needed to install bullet-proof glass in our front entrances, and our building insurance now insists on an anti-terrorist rider.

Is anyone watching the new season of American Horror Story? I have an unhealthy addiction to Ryan Murphy. I think he can border brilliant but seems to always lose his way. I think it may be to many cooks spoiling the stew. He gets cast to shine. I have directed off broadway and a few cable shows. Getting actors to not be divas is tough. Men are worse than women. Early Glee was fun. Early Nip/Tuck a blast. He’s not insane proggie. AHS Cult takes stabs at both sides. It’s fun to watch how he mixes in Warhol and Manson with 2016 election. This season takes place in Provincetown. Wanna be artists take a pill if they have true talent they thrive . still suck blood but do it in a kind way. The untalented just suck blood from anyone. I was intrigued. Murphy and I have similar backgrounds. I realized in college I could never hurt my mom. She’s my mom. For me to write I’d destroy her. That was never an option. This season flirts with substance abuse. I know what it’s like to rely on booze to unleash creativity. I see the metaphor. Yet I have no idea what I just watched with latest episode. I might need years of therapy.

    • lateblum says:

What network is American Horror Story on? I’ve never seen it.

      • Mothy67 says:

FX. You can get a free month of hulu. I find him fascinating albeit erratic. I like horror. I think you can argue The Brothers Karamozov is horror. Good comedy is often horrific. Comedy and horror for me are the reason to see a movie in a theater. It’s the shared experience. You laugh or jump together. The Hangover script could have been sold as horror. Shay had to see IT. We went to luxury theater. She took a blanket and pillow. I read the book in I think high school. As anyone with a kid knows they decide you are an idiot at some point. Thirteen year olds know all. She reached out for my hand watching IT. Meant the world to me because it meant connection. I can’t watch many things on TV with Shay. Perhaps I am a prude. Amazing to ponder if there is something wrong with me because I can’t watch Game of Thrones with my mom. I have friends who watch Girls with teens. Brian Williams of msnbc fame spoke about his daughter getting anal eaten. His daughter. Shay loves Criminal Minds. I wouldn’t sit down and watch with her. Her mom pays for her subscriptions. The first season of American Horror Story has a boy who shoots up a school. Shay talks with me/ at me. She had a crush on Tate a ghost who took a gun to school and ended many. She loves Carl on Shameless. In real life Harper is grounded because I said you tell parents or I do. They comingled. I told him it would not be right if I didn’t inform his parents. I asked him to do it first. We spoke man to man. He was respectful and told his parents. I don’t know where we go from here. He’s ranked as a quarterback. Shay breaks swim records. We don’t have stoner kids thinking about a career with walmart. He will play in NFL. Shay might go on to Olympics. She was 14 and has assisted coached volleyball at Pitt. His parents don’t want to talk. His grandparents do. It all comes back to horror films. Endless Love is so much scarier than Halloween. My girl told me. I didn’t even ask. I’m not throwing away 15 years of caring over sex. Wish it hadn’t happened but my crud is a young adult. I need to deal with now. Harper’s parents are grounding him for engaging a girl he thinks he loves. Maybe I am insane but I’ve suffered a tad bit. Broken bones, rape, urine on my face. I was innocent. Virgin when they pummeled me. I don’t I can’t let Shay ever experience my horror. It will never be her story. She had sex lets be grown ups and talk. Ugh I hate everyone.

I hope the only people who show up at the Capitol tomorrow are Antifa and the FBI. Then in a few weeks there’s an all out effort to do something like to raise flags all over the country. No marching, no gatherings of people anywhere. Just a sea of flags from sea to shining sea. Try throwing people into solitary confinement for that. American flags, Trump flags, F**K Biden flags, the Gadsden, Confederate flags- take your pick. A goal right now should be to let people know they aren’t alone. It’s easy to say things like, “They can’t arrest everybody” when folks know while that may be true, they can arrest some people.

The first war to win is the culture war. We’re seeing some of that now. Parents are beating up school boards. Gutfeld has sunk Colbert. Hollywood hasn’t had a real blockbuster in a long time. No one is watching award shows. College football fans are letting Biden know he’s losing the youth. CBS had to cancel its “woke” reality show before it aired. There is no TV show everyone is talking about. They cancel someone, and he or she pops up somewhere else. We need to establish a parallel culture that’s successful enough to “buy the left out”, The Curtis Yarvin-Tucker interview talked about how to foment a bloodless coup.

If you look many super rich are moving out of the stock market into tangible things like land, housing, gold, silver, etc. I’m increasingly uncomfortable with the stock market and I never liked banks. Now I’m wondering if government bonds or bond funds are stable for retirement accounts.

I do agree with land/housing and that’s where I’m focusing the majority of my efforts these days, although the heavy reno I just bought is turning into more of a learning experience than I anticipated. The reno should have been done by now but I had a runaway contractor (who fortunately ran away before he got paid) and the new one, who looks better, can’t do the work until November.

    An observation
I live a fifteen minute walk to the city. It’s an independent boro with very high taxes and what is nearly private school and lots and lots of cops. We have two elementary schools with less than a hundred per grade. You decide to raise kids here because of the school and community. We have a pool. Conner is on the spectrum. He’s Conner. Everyone knows him. He has never been cast aside because he yells more inappropriately than me.
I’d say 60% of Shay’s friends have a nurse for a mother. My mom is a retired nurse. We never shutdown. The school did and restaurants closed but sleepovers never stopped. I have no idea what hoodlum is ever here. I have two air matresses and kids are still asleep on sofa. We never went Covid crazy. Turn on the local news and they tell you world is melting. I can not walk 30 feet outside without seeing a nurse. News says hospitals are over run but my actual neighbor says not so.

ROTHSCHILD is Wroth-Shield from the time of Dark Age plagues, the one and only Avignon Jesus, and the Templar Crusades to the Levant. SHIELD presumably means the $1 trillion we spend every year on “defense” killing machines. WROTH means to be provoked, angered. To incur the wrath of God and heavy metal music … even if it takes fake news and fake terrorism.

“Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding WROTH, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.” (Matthew 2:16)

I have been right on everything since G. W. Bush. I was a democrat until obama. One Christmas Day i went into the diviest dive bar. I couldn’t go home. I managed a restaurant. I had to be there December 26th. I was drinking beer and going to see Scream 2 on Christmas day by myself. This gorgeous gay from Atlanta made overtures. He was hot it was Christmas. I had picked up far worse. Something hit me about him. He threw his cigarette in my beer and told me I deserved to die alone. Two days later I was walking to work yuuuge signs wanted for murder and attempted murder. I just got a vibe and got away. I had a visceral reaction to Fauci. Less than two weeks ago Shayla was throwing garlic toast at my head. It was under the guise of sex. Please I can taste when she gets a sniffle before she sneezes. She was already on birth control. The anger was about vaccine. School is pushing. I said no. You can when you turn 16. My gut tells me it will effect fertilty. There is all kinds of conflicting info out there. My stance is wait til next year. Ironic that my kid I don’t want to get pregnant fights with me about a shot which might reduce her chances of carrying a child. She is stubborn. I adore but I will say no. Wait. Today more came out. I can make no sense. Spike stuff I read not knowing legitamacy can kill a pregnancy. A birth would seem like an infection. I have no clue. I buy homeless Aids patients food. Not one has gotten covid. School is trying to force my kid to take an untested shot. Shay has her dad’s insurance plus social security. I spoil. She has a mom. No need for her to work for 150 a week. School which is normally not proggie crazy is pushing vaccine hard. To work. She is in tenth grade no need for a job. I don’t want to hear shit.
