Yuge crowds have been showing up for Youngkin in Va, but we know that don’t mean a thing after 2020. Fingers crossed…….

    Good Morning.

This is worse than pathetic. It’s downright evil!

Every time I see or hear stories like this – including the latest plan of having children vaccinated IN THEIR SCHOOLS, I believe this virus was created for the purpose of subjugating people (who oppose tyranny) throughout the world. I realize what I’m saying sounds paranoid. But I don’t think any of this is accidental. When the pharmaceutical companies are exempt from bearing responsibility for negative side effects from the vaccine, the collusion between gov’t and the drug companies is apparent. When people who have openly questioned and/or disagreed with specifics I.e. teaching CRT or “gender fluidity” to young children in schools, or closing churches but keeping liquor stores and marijuana outlets open, you know there is something nefarious going on. And it’s coming from both side of the aisle. We have been dehumanized and targeted and it’s not a coincidence. IMO

        • Helen Kenney says:

you are not paranoid. CHina and the new world order did more damage to the world with an “accidental” lab escape than with an nuclear bomb.

        • Locked-N-Loaded says:

True story!! You are not paranoid, you are fully awake!!

        • Constance says:

I agree. This is a plan. And add in the Media joining together to gatekeep news of what is going on away from the public. Washington state ferries have cut half their sailings due to Covid layoffs and there is no coverage of it on the news. Also Covid is a virus that takes out the old and the young who have chronic conditions that cost a lot in medical effort to manage. Like that wasn’t planned by bureaucrats who have been collecting Social Security and Medicare payments and then blowing the money. If they can kill American seniors before they can collect their benefits they can save a lot of resources. Natural viruses take out young and old. The 1918 flu took out more young than old.

I am the very model of a modern Four Star Admiral,
Both masculine and feminine , and also quite chimerical,

I never had my menses, but I fight my fights hysterical
I stand up when I use the loo, my perfume’s atmospherical

I’ll very well describe for you, my matters urological,
I understand all genders too, both real and mythological,

About bigender theorem I’m teeming with a lot o’ news,
With th’ svelte and girlish figure of a manly hippopotamoose.

I am laughing and not commenting on this, and also noting that my most annoying kid learned all the words to the original song during the first lockdown, after seeing this Babylon 5 scene:

Did you hear they are rebooting B5 …on the CW.
        The horror, the horror

        • 1539days says:

          The 4400 reboot looks awful.

          • jadzia1971 says:

A 4400 REBOOT? OMG. That’s another series I can’t get here. I loved it so. Did you know that the guy who played Jordan Collier was the runner up for the Riker role in TNG?

        • jadzia1971 says:

WHAAAAAT? Nearly every dude in the original cast is dead. And now Mira Furlan is gone, too. That show was cursed.

          • 1539days says:

I guess Claudia Christian should consider herself lucky for being fired. She’s off booze and still alive.

          • jadzia1971 says:

I’m guessing her acting hasn’t gotten better in 30 years, though.

Marcus is still alive, too, and pretty much unrecognizable, although Jason Carter seems like a delightful person.

      • 1539days says:

At least you’re exposing your kids to the classics.
Interestingly enough, ST:TNG had an episode where Geordi sang part of that song as well.

        • jadzia1971 says:

Ha ha, I don’t remember that episode! My kid who is really into fandom is making us watch the new Lower Decks series and hoo boy is it bad.

        • jadzia1971 says:

I mostly try to expose them to good books. The boys are too old to read to now (when they were young they got Madeleine L’Engle, Judy Blum, and Beverly Cleary, along with the Narnia books and lot of other stuff like that), so I just order piles of stuff like 1984, Brave New World, Scalzi’s books, Flatland, etc., and leave it around to supplement the French classics they read in school. With the girls we are about to finish ALL of the Betsy Tacy books and then we are moving on to Little Women. TV I am trying to give them a dose of American culture. They LOVED Malcolm in the Middle (let’s not talk about how they compared me to Lois) and I am trying my best to get playable DVDs of Roseanne, but they aren’t available ANYWHERE and I am wondering if I’m gonna have to buy an expensive international DVD player for this purpose.

          • 1539days says:

Wow. Sounds a lot like what I read as a kid. It’s too bad about Roseanne, because it streams for free in the US. Have you seen “The Middle” with Patricia Heaton and the janitor guy from Scrubs?

    Colin Powell Committed Suicide

    • Anthony says:

It might very well be. Not sure if I believe he did it like the article described, but its not uncommon for people with illnesses as serious as his to get assistance from medical personnel. Assisted suicide is also a treatment option in the affordable care act.

The “covid related” diagnosis is loophole in many state policies whereby anyone who expires during the pandemic will have “covid related complications” listed as cause of death

    From a friend’s weekly newsletter:

I only decided to work as an usher at the Mesa Arts Center this fall because of this concert. I was kind of bummed because they assigned me to Patron Services…but it ended up perfect. As soon as the concert started…I was told to go in and find a seat…which I did. Lots of people…all about my age…long lines for drinks…no food was allowed in the theater per her contract. Her show started at 7:30 p.m….and went straight through for 100 minutes…Miss Emmylou Harris!

Her songs flooded my mind with memories. Hollywood, CA…The long brown hair is shorter now…and solid white but the huge voice is still strong as ever.

“I’m sixteen hundred miles from the people I know
Been doin’ all I can but opportunity sure come slow
Lord I’d be in the sun all day
But I’m sweepin’ out a warehouse in west L.A.
But it’s all right ’cause it’s midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine”

At one point she started a song and then stopped…she said into the mike, “you know I am over 70 now.” And the crowd where most of the people were also..just roared.

I had been humming Luxury Liner the whole time I was working. Because of my position for the concert I spent a long time visiting with this lady who was her recording manager at one of her record labels. She had traveled over from Los Angeles just to see her….so I was able to make sure that she did that.

    • jadzia1971 says:

I received an email recently from a lawyer, very obviously a lady based on her name, very obviously a white, non-Latina lady based on her website photo, who listed her pronouns in both English and Spanish. I roll my eyes.

    • jadzia1971 says:

I’m glad somebody is doing the right thing. Not too surprised to hear that it’s In N Out–they are still family owned and the family (including the poor little rich girl daughter who was orphaned and became the sole heir) is very conservative and religious.

Just remember this is the DIRTY ROTTEN PRICK that voted to take away what was contractual and of State Law, medical benefits from retired Chicago Police Officer’s.
If you were hired before a certain date and not after, benefits were supposed to be life time, whatever remained of it.
Alcoholism, suicide, divorce whittled down those numbers.
5 year lawsuit went nowhere, Illinois what you expect.

      • Cisco says:

        Hey Durbin…

      • lateblum says:

Yup. And the State of Illinois employees who were hired up to 1997 will get healthcare insurance paid by the state, for life. Those who joined in 1998 and later, have to pay for their insurance. Guess when I was hired. 1998. Oh well, at least I have insurance. But hose costs continue to rise, the insurance benefits continue to decrease. My income remains stagnant since 2015. Actually, it has *significantly* decreased since 2018. But that’s an entirely different story.

This is why I listen to MSNBC on SiriusXM. The libs are so hot to put the country into massive debt, they are beating up on Manchin and following Sinema into the bathroom. They think since those two are Democrats they have to agree to the groupthink. Now Manchin is a tool, but he knows voting for this crap will lose him the next election and not do him any good. Now he’s playing hardball and I’m just sitting here with popcorn.

    • DandyTIger says:

Wonder who he’d caucus with. I kind of hope he stays with Dems and refuses to vote for the crap. If he switched to caucus with the GOP, McConnell would just cave along with the usual RINOs and pass the crap without Manchin.

Last night the school board in my town voted 6-0 to withdraw from the state and national school board associations in response to Merrick Garland calling parents domestic terrorists. RI has been a hot spot for school board/parent conflict so it’s notable.

In other news today the US has had access deaths from cardiovascular issues in the 20-50 age group last year. Is anyone trying to find out why?
