They’re going to ruin Halloween, aren’t they? LOL, hope Michael Myers doesn’t lose his job……

    • elliesmom says:

Who knew being gay is protection from serial killers?

      • 1539days says:

        “There’s not enough representation.”
“Those characters are portrayed as bad.”
“Those characters don’t have any personality.”

        • swanspirit says:

I thought the ideal was “equity” ? Doesn’t that mean everyone gets killed by serial killers, equally? Those serial killers have to kill everyone. They can’t just kill straight white kids anymore!

      • Miranda says:

I thought virginity and not wearing slutty lingerie was how you stayed safe.

    • Mothy67 says:

I read the thread it was a joke.

      • DeniseVB says:

        Some didn’t think so, lol…..

      • Constance says:

I think a bigger problem is that movie serial killers are always so ugly they are deformed. That is really misleading. There is evil in the world and evil often looks very normal. It would be so much easier if evil looked hideous.

        • lateblum says:

Ted Bundy is a good reminder of what you just said. Good looking, smart, suave, EVIL.

        • DeniseVB says:

At the end of the movie trailer it looked like Jamie Lee Curtis was trying to rip off Michael Myers mask, then it just ended. Now I’m going to have to look for spoilers to see if there’s a great unveiling because there’s no way I’ll be watching that movie 🙂

          • Mt.Laurel says:

I have never watched a trailer for this movies (s?) so every time I see Michael Myers name at this time of the year I think to myself, “isn’t that the guy who did that silly spoof of 007, I didn’t know he did a spoof of horror films as well”. And every year I realize at some point down the road that they are talking about some fictional character from that Halloween movie . I always thought his name was Freddie. It took me years to figure out that Freddie was from a different film. I guess we are not the target audience.😱👁🔪

Awwww, you love me! As mad as I am at every goddamned business that bent the knee on this passport nonsense, I know I’ll be going back to DLP someday. Protip: DON’T EAT THE FOOD. It is so bad, I am embarrassed to be French.

Good news for the day is that “Les Republicains” finally found their goddamned backbones and the Senate has refused to give Macron a “blank check” to continue this bullshit. The current goalpost/proposal is to end it for every department that hits a 75% vaccination rate.

I remain in the control group.

    • jadzia1971 says:

Also? I’m pretty sure that most normies here don’t give a shit about who is vaccinated. People certainly continue to come to my parties. They tease me a bit for my stubbornness, but it is all still kissy-kissy. I don’t know ANYBODY from around here (neighborhood, village) who has gotten sick except for that cluster of nuns in February 2020 (and that was scary, to be sure) and my doctor, who also caught it early on.

    • DeniseVB says:

I was just surprised to see Halloween in France, and yes thought about you and all these years couldn’t remember the French version which I would have certainly remembered from you. But, I’m getting old and losing my memory, so there’s that 😀

      • jadzia1971 says:

Halloween is considered to be an American holiday here, but it has become really popular here just in the last few years. I went to the party store last weekend and it was like Black Friday. Insane.

The Day of the Dead equivalent, November 1, is called Toussaint.

        • elliesmom says:

November 1st is All Saints’ Day in the US, too, but you have to go to church to celebrate here. My mother-in-law was Pennsylvania Dutch and very Lutheran. and she used to make a special coffeecake to commemorate Reformation Day.

          • lateblum says:

          • Mt.Laurel says:

One of my childhood friends birthday is on Oct 30th and her mom went all out for a three day extravaganza: Birthday Party, Halloween with big old house decorated to the hilt inside and out and they the after party for Day of the Dead. Much of my grandmother’s (paternal) family were more reserved Brethren and Methodist but she discovered after marrying my grandfather that she loved holidays like Halloween. She also enjoyed the little cakes we would save for her from the Day of the Dead. She just did not mention/show them to her relatives.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

This is one thing that has really set my tin foil beret into a tizzy. You always have a control group. Yet these supposed experts want it wiped out. One way or the other.

    Good Morning.

Things don’t seem to be going very well for the man occupying the oval office. What a shame. 🙂

    • lateblum says:

I keep reading that the Pope (who, I doubt is Catholic) has said that taking the vaccine is a sign of Christian love. And so there is now a bill in the Illinois state legislature removing the possibility of a religious belief exemption from taking the vaccine. I am beginning to think there might be a plot against the control group. (/s)

      • elliesmom says:

So what about the religious people who couldn’t care less what the Pope says? Their religious beliefs don’t count? I keep trying to see what the big picture is. I get why the pharma companies keep pushing their vaccines, and why they’d prefer to create one you have to take often- the more often the better for them. I get why certain factions in the government are power grabbers. At this point they know just how many people will bow at their throne, and it appears to be a majority. Pushing harder risks losing that majority.

        • jadzia1971 says:

Also, most Catholics are probably aware that the Pope IS NOT INFALLIBLE on matters of public policy, economics, science, etc. His infallibility as a matter of doctrine is limited to a narrow range of religious issues involving faith or morals, and I’m pretty sure that the Pope saying “my preferred public policy is the only moral choice” doesn’t actually count. You can absolutely be a faithful Catholic and not be picking up what he’s putting down here.

        • 1539days says:

For one thing, the vaccine is made from embryos. The claim that J&J us not is suspicious at best.

  5. DeniseVB says:

I’m confused, is the new “Queen” trans, cross dresser or just a flaming gay? He still looks like a boy with exaggerated feminine movements or something. From the reaction of the crowd, girls voted for this too.

    • Mothy67 says:

    • elliesmom says:

Some of the kids voted for this young man to be homecoming queen as an SJW thing, and some of them voted for him to make the statement they think homecoming queen is a joke. My college class made someone who had dropped out our class president. Undoubtedly, some kids who voted for him were making fun of the boy in the dress. He appears to be a willing player so he either doesn’t see it or doesn’t care.

But in a bigger picture, women have traded “let’s get rid of the patriarchy” for “let’s erase women”.

    • Cisco says:

a little to much sugar in his tank

    • lateblum says:

When my younger brother was a junior in college, he ran for homecoming Queen as a joke. He was a very sweet, popular guy (still is) whose friends supported his “run” by making silly posters and creating laughable slogans. None of the family knew he was doing this – because it was a college prank. He won. When I was passing a news stand in downtown Chicago after work, I saw his photo and the article on the front page of the two Chicago daily afternoon papers! Still a favorite family story.

My Way to Go, Brandon grocery order arrived this morning. It was 3 times what I usually get so the driver was relieved when I asked him to leave it at the garage this time. Since most of the stuff will stay down there, it was what made sense. I’m taking a short break before I bring the rest upstairs. Yesterday I cleaned out my freezer. I found some meat that had been there a little too long. It’s in the oven becoming a “mixed grille” for Ellie and Hank. The pantry shelves are completely full, but I still have some room in the freezer. When I rearranged the pantry shelves, I found an empty bag of almond flour. Most likely a mouse or a chipmunk. Nothing else touched and no scat so I guess I’ll set a live catch trap, and see what I get. Some almonds would apparently be good bait. 🙂

Exactly. DOJ, the White House, media insist this was a deadly insurrection but…
never have to prove it in court.
Where are the insurrection, seditious conspiracy charges? Why so many “parading” misdemeanors? Why is DOJ dragging its feet on discovery?
Howell knows why. So does DOJ. It’s all semantics with no legal footing.

    random thought
with all the diversity nonsense going on, can you picture this? a train going coast to coast has several crew bases on the route. Now if the “woke” have their way each crew base has to be diversified. So the train leaves it home terminal on time, goes to the first crew base gets recrewed then on to the 2nd crew base, but the only rested crew is all white and it will be about 6 to 8 hours before an engineer of color is rested to work the train. Does the train sit until he can run or do we use common sense and use a rested engineer no matter what color to keep the train running on time?
I have worked with people that are white, black, brown, red, and yellow. catholic, protestant, jewish, Mormon, Muslim 7th day adventist. My only requirement was can they get the train across the road safely and on time? If not get the hell out of the until I find someone who can. That is what they and I are getting paid to do. The rest of the stuff leave at home it is not part of the job and you do not get paid for it

    just my opinion
