The interview was the first time I’ve heard anything negative about Lin Wood. Until then I thought he was a hero. What a disappointment!

    • elliesmom says:

Before he started airing the interview, Tucker said what we were going to hear about Kyle’s initial lawyers shocked him. When Kyle’s trial lawyer was interviewed after the verdict, a reporter asked him what was going to happen to all of the money that was collected for Kyle. The lawyer said some of it would be used to continue private security for Kyle, and that some of it would be used to get back what his original lawyers had kept for themselves. So I knew something was up.

Cuomo team talked lowballing COVID-19 nursing home deaths

We don’t want to say we told you so, but …

After disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo spent more than a year blaming everyone but himself for the nursing home controversy – including The Post — the state Assembly’s damning impeachment probe revealed both Cuomo and his top aides hid nursing home data from the public while negotiating his $5.1 million book deal.

And that is the least shocking story from yesterday. Who could have imagined the news on a single day could have been so horrid?!?

    • Anthony says:

Unfortunately, the law that the NYS Senate passed on March 2020 exempts him, the facilities and personnel from either source from being held accountable for injuries or deaths resulting from covid or covid related complications during the pandemic. To date, covid is still considered a pandemic. They should all rot in hell.

      • DeniseVB says:

I just read where the Parkland shooting families have settled for about $130M with the government. Fine, but why do we taxpayers have to pay for our Dear Leaders’ mistakes. No heads will roll? Should start with Obama and Holder who put the Promise Keepers (no minority will go to jail) in place and why this kid slipped through the cracks for years. Yep, same kind of law protects Communists for destroying our country and her people. I can’t wait for the “real” insurrection 😀

A couple of the brothers became obsessed with Hallmark movies while dealing with pancreatic cancer. Said they found it comforting and they knew all the regular players. They would often suggest those they thought Mom might like. Until her Alzheimer’s got really bad mom would patiently listen to them and then look at me and sigh saying she was glad they were in other parts of the country so she could fib about having watch this or that because they all had the same plot and mostly the same actors and she could not tell them apart.

Remember the recent conversation we had about why there seems to be a change in the wind about vaccine mandates and lockdowns? Seems like Merck may be about to release a new therapeutic. They were unsuccessful in creating a covid-19 vaccine, but now seem poised to make their share of the windfall.

Interesting article from the New York Post about the Judge in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial: Judge is getting a promotion by Joe Biden to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals. Chuck Schummer is recommending her. She says even if she gets the promotion, she will remain as judge with this trial until the end.

Several months ago I got a friend request from someone who looked vaguely familiar so I asked the BFF, “Do I know this person?” She said, yes, I did. We had gone to college with him. He hadn’t been able to cut it in the engineering classes and didn’t have the grades to transfer somewhere else so he had pulled a degree in “Humanities and Technology”. After a couple of years of wandering around the world trying to “find himself’, he went to divinity school. I figured what the hell and accepted his request. Until yesterday I had not made a comment or even clicked a “Like” on any of his posts although I did share a few of them with my crazy Canadian cousin.

Yesterday “Mark” shared a long post from a guy who said he was “a paralegal EMT from Wisconsin”. It was originally written in September. The guy said Kyle was going to be convicted on all counts because he was in Wisconsin illegally and wasn’t supposed to have “an assault weapon”. During the trial the judge carefully explained why Kyle could own and carry an AR-15 in Wisconsin, and that was a part of the trial I watched. I’ve been in Wisconsin many times myself, and I never needed a passport to be there. Someone else asked Mark for the name of the person who had written the original post.

I couldn’t help myself. All of the years of playing “paging” with 13 year old boys caught up with me, and I commented “Fuller Shite”. Now Mark is attempting to “school” me on the trial. He has obviously only watched MSNBC. I’m being egged on by mutual FB friends. I have been so good for so long on FB. . .

Immediately following a news report about the trial of three white men murdering a lone black jogger in Georgia, CBS News radio reported about an SUV driving through a Christmas parade in Waukesha Wisconsin hitting and killing adults and scores of others. No mention of race or color in that particular report. I just heard a second report on the same radio station that said the driver of the SUV in Wisconsin was out on bail. Again, no mention of race.
Am I surprised? Not at all.

The church I attend had a multicultural service, & one of the verses of a song was in Chinese, which spawned this thought:

Chinese is a tonal language; changing the pitch sequence in a word changes its meaning. So how does translating a song into Chinese work when the melody of the song is already set in stone, like the hymn, “Rock of Ages”?
