Welcome December, let’s kick off with…..

Interesting that the press seems to be largely ignoring the 10 time winning trans person on Jeopardy. It’s doesn’t appear to be newsworthy. My how things have changed.
I thought it was a dude the first time I saw him, but thought maybe just a masculine woman. Last night he talked about his girlfriend. So I suppose he’s a lesbian. I could care less.
I do prefer Ken Jennings to Mayim Bialik.

I started watching Jeopardy when Art Fleming was the host. He did an excellent job, but replacing him was pretty seamless. Alex Trebek made Jeopardy solidly his. Since replacing him has turned into a veritable sideshow, maybe it’s a signal it’s time to retire the show. Most people who watch the show just want a host who behaves professionally, moves the game along, and treats the contestants with respect. Both Fleming and Trebek did that and finding someone else who could do that, too, isn’t as hard as people are making it out to be. The producers and a lot of the fans are introducing drama where drama goes against the whole concept of the show. It’s a trivia contest known for being calm and the same everyday with only the quesions and the faces chaning.

      • Mothy67 says:

The woke mob was pushing hard for Lavar Burton because he is African American. No other reason. The demo for Jeopardy is not wokesters. It’s older and white. I watched with my grandparents as did most of the contestants. Hiring a minority to appease the crazed leftists would have been suicide. I guess bailek fits for being a Jewish woman, but I don’t find her welcoming on a daily basis. Original plan to have her host specials might have worked. The executive who got canned had a lisp? Seriously the job is to articulate.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

Fond memories of Art Fleming. We had the home version of Jeopardy from Milton Bradley . it took a while to set up but was well worth the effort. It was my choice of games one year from my annual trip with Dad for Christmas shopping the week after Thanksgiving. I got to pick out one item for the family that we used immediately while waiting for Santa. You had to put in these little cards into each slot for each of the categories then close the red sliding cover. It was clear enough to see the dollar amount and and the question was on the back. My older brothers thought being the MC was boring because they could not sow off so I usually got that job and loved being “Art”. Trivial Pursuit had nothing on that nifty setup.

I’d like to see the man who made the most famous song about Jeopardy, Weird Al Yankovic, host the show.

    • swanspirit says:

The trans person who goes by, Amy, isn’t very personable, imo Makes weird facial expressions, too. I missed the part where he talked about his girlfriend, thank goodness.
I hope they settle on one host, and just move on to play the game.

I love the house. It has “me” written all over it.

Just as some Biden “proclamations” have Jill’s signature written all over them. “There will be no more lockdowns if everyone gets vaccinated and wears a mask.” That should have a familiar ring to it for anyone who went to elementary school. “There will only be recess today if everyone in the class settles down and gets his work done.” It makes the kids police each other and scapegoats the kids who are legitimately having trouble gettinug the work done. If the teacher doesn’t follow through on her threat, she risks becoming an impotent disciplinarian in her class. If she does, she has defied the school’s policy on recess. Getting out of their seats and going outside to let off some steam is part of school policy for a reason. If a class is singled out to miss recess, she’ll have an angry, restless class turned on itself, but mostly every member of the class will be angry at her, and rightfully so.

In Andrew Pollack’s book, Why Meadow Died, was the same thing, suppression of misbehaving minority students. Started with Obama/Holder, I never thought a School Board election would be so exciting to read about 🙂 School shootings aren’t about guns either.

        Anthony LaMesa @ajlamesa

It’s important to remember that the United States requires passengers in transit to pass border control, so these measures would be devastating for Mexican and Caribbean tourism and severely complicate traveling to South America via the United States.

The U.S. vaccination rate is on par with Czechia and Estonia. *Fully vaccinated international travelers* shouldn’t be punished with draconian measures because the U.S. has failed to successfully execute its vaccination campaign.

I pray for peace for this family.

It’s disgusting what’s happened to our city. Crime is accepted by politicians. The one political party in control of the city and state has pushed dangerous policies that encourage this violence.

Stop voting for Democrats. Wake up California.

She is one of those who will not be satisfied until all white people are dead.

“The student then went on to attack Rittenhouse’s ancestry. “He’s a descendent of white Americans who killed black and brown people” who were “also acquitted of all charges.” The crowd cheered.”

She then goes on to say that “not only is ASU a predominately white university, it is a white supremacist university.”

Not only clueless, but also full of hatred.
