Sometimes I think these grievances, especially in woke S.F., are made up for sympathy and publicity. I have never heard of racist and sexist problems in the arts, Jussie proved it can be a hoax. Also, yeah, maybe from rednecks, who wouldn’t be caught dead at a Dickens Fair 😉

Victor Davis Hansen had a very good piece about Pearl Harbor yesterday- https://amgreatness.com/2021/12/05/misremembering-pearl-harbor/

When I went to work for a Japanese company, my dad was less than supportive. He said, “Watch out. They’re only here to steal our technology not to contribute any of their own.” He would turn out to have been right, but in the meantime he took some solace in knowing everytime I get paid, my paystub said “Bank of Tokyo” and was helping in our balance of trade.

My parents had a habit of just dropping into my office to take me out to lunch. One day my boss invited himself to go with us. Over lunch he asked my dad if he had served in the Pacific. My dad had served his time in WWII in Africa and Europe. The closest he had been to the war in the Pacific was a visit to the Arizona. The ensuing conversation between two very charming men who remained charming throughout was enlightening. My boss was my age and wasn’t born until the war was over so he had no first person stories to counter my dad’s experiences. When he asked my dad about dropping the bombs on Japan, my dad’s reply was along the lines of, “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

My grandmother lost friends at Pearl Harbor and had no use for any Japanese person until the day she died. She was never rude to anyone, but the family knew how she felt.

One of my uncles who served in Europe in WWII was the same, he didn’t even want you to purchase a Japanese car. He never forgot the atrocities committed by the Japanese, and he lost a friend in the Bataan Death March.

Every since the obummer crew came into power the dims have reminded me of the Manson Family. I was born in ’67 so only learned about the then culture as a young adult. Always found it creepy.

      • swanspirit says:

I never made the specific reference to Manson, but I always felt the whole Obanana 💩show, was completely cult like. Still do. His followers are more like the faithful, unquestioning devoted. John Cole, of Balloon Juice, is a perfect example. He claims to be an atheist, but his devotion to Obanana, is fanatical. If you say anything deprecating about The One, he loses it.

I was born after the 60s but believe you me it was “interesting” growing up in the drug culture of those years, which continued for my family until the mid 80s.

On FOX just now — a woman’s home was searched after being caught with booty from Nordstroms. Search warrant executed. 300,000 In stolen goods found in her home!?!?!
    WTF

When I checked the weather report this morning the NWS was predicting 1-2″ of snow for tomorrow so when I got back from walking Ellie, I let her stretch out on the front porch while I swept all of the leaves off the driveway again. When we came back inside, the snow had disappeared from the forecast. That means it’s more likely to snow based on their track record. 🙂

Well that is one of the few things at which the Harry has actual experience. Quit school, quit the military, and quit the family business and ran off to La La Land. But is does not appear to have helped his mental health. In fact he seems more off the beam than ever. Perhaps he should rethink this advise.

Found a lot of good information on covid treatment and prevention here: https://www.michaelturnermd.com/contents/services/covid-treatment

The doctor will prescribe Invermectin for you if your state is on his list and you pay him $149. I plan to buy some of the supplements he listed. The DAO Labs teas sound good.

Thank you to the TCHer who posted this link: https://covid19criticalcare.com/
