Is that not the most unbelievable bs !!

    • 1539days says:

The “research” that shows vaccines being effective against Omicron would be a month old at best. The “research” on Moderna and Pfizer was so thorough that they missed the 3 month expiration date on the jab last year. The shots *might* reduce the severity of symptoms, but there is no real proof at this point that the unvaccinated are spreading Omicron at a higher rate.

Well I was debating bothering to go into the office this week as there was nothing that needed to be done there. Boss said no need as bills and rent are paid and he could think of no reason to bother . before I could let them know just leave our agency’s mail in our box got an email saying to stay home. Three people from the the one large org and four from the other have tested positive. All vaccinated with boosters and only associating with vaccinated. But I am sure they will blame those random not vaccinated that came within half a mile of them. Because otherwise their false narrative falls apart.

My local news didn’t get the memo, or maybe the blame DeSantis standing memorandum of understanding trumps it??? We need to hide under our beds😬 Florida set a new record with 58,000 cases😬 Beating the previous day’s record setting number of cases by 6,000. Hide your kids, hide your wife, to the bunkers!

A little ways down you find out in NE Florida there are 64 people hospitalized with covid, 5 of which are children🙄

I’d just like verification that omicron is the dominant variant in my area, so I can embark on my door handle and payment terminal licking tour😝🤣

LOL at your last sentence. That’s what I told a med tech: I don’t lick door knobs. She laughed and said she doesn’t lick windows.

This will be a big loss for Progressives. They are already sad that they don’t have their unifying hatred and outrage about Trump and now they lose their paranoid disease obsession. And they look stupid.

On Christmas morning I left a 10″ square bakery box filled with assorted cookies and cream filled pastries at my neighbor’s door. I think she figured out who her Secret Sants was because she retaliated by returning the box filled with Almond Joy minis. I know I’m going to eat them all. The only question is how long is it going to take me?

Very windy here in Colorado today. I can see the smoke from the huge grass fire in South Boulder from my bedroom window.

    • lyn5 says:

Wow! Has Colorado received any snow?

      • Locked-N-Loaded says:

None so far in Erie, but lots in the mountains, and all the ski areas are open. They are predicting 1 to 6 inches of snow tomorrow evening for Erie and 1 to 3 feet of snow for the mountains, along with a 40 degree temperature drop, from 50 to 10 degrees!!

        • lyn5 says:

Oregon is getting dumped on. Crater Lake has 53 inches–123% of normal. We have under a foot in our yard in Klamath Falls. Side streets are snow packed.

        • Constance says:

Seattle is a snow disaster too. We had about 5 inches earlier in the week and 6 inches last night. I did actually see a sand truck last night and it turns out that a private company plows the condo driveways and parking lots and also shovels. Great news for us until you hit the city streets! It is so F’ing cold in my condo! I don’t have any window coverings which was fine with me as the view is nice but now I have to wear a hat indoors. I ordered cell blinds from 3 day blinds but I guess they close down the factory for 2 weeks in December every year so for a brief time they are three week blinds. It got down to 16 degrees a few nights ago and has been in the 20s for a week.

Wind and fire are a bad combination, stay safe!

    • Locked-N-Loaded says:

My granddaughter (and her boyfriend) live in an apartment in Louisville, CO (south of Boulder) and they are starting to evacuate parts of that area. She just left work (doggy daycare in Erie) to grab important stuff from the apartment!!

      • lyn5 says:

Oh, no. Hope she collects everything and gets to a safe place. ❤

      • Constance says:

Oh no. That sounds horrible, Stay safe!

      • Locked-N-Loaded says:

My granddaughter could not get to her apartment. She got almost there and saw trees on fire, and the smoke was so thick she could barely see, and she began to have a major panic attack, while I was on the phone with her, so I told her to turn around and head east away from the fire and smoke back to Erie. When she got out of the really thick smoke, she began to calm down a little bit. She is almost back to work now. They are evacuating all of Louisville and Superior.

  18. Locked-N-Loaded says:

Colorado fire update: Winds are still gusting up to 75 mph, fire still spreading rapidly and about 30 homes are fully engulfed in flames. Broomfield and Lafayette are on pre-evacuation warnings, because the fire is headed that way. My granddaughter was still so upset when she got back to work that they told her she could leave, so she and her dog are at our house in Erie (I live with my daughter). We are glued to the TV following the fire.

  21. Locked-N-Loaded says:

Colorado fire update: At least 600 homes have burned down, the Element Hotel and the Target in Superior have burned down. Winds have not slowed down much. Because of the high winds, no planes with water can fly. We live about 7 miles north of Broomfield and reports are that we are safe for now. We will be up all night I’m sure!!

    • lyn5 says:

That’s awful. Please let me know if or when online donations are set up.

Lived in Aurora for eight months in 1986. Went to Boulder and Golden a few times.

    • Somebody says:

Hopefully everyone made it out of those homes and businesses. 🤞 Property can be replaced, although I’m sure there were irreplaceable items people lost. The main thing is protecting lives.

I’m glad you were on the phone with your granddaughter and able to talk her through things. What a close call😬 I pray the winds subside quickly and firefighters are able to extinguish the fire.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

Thank you for the update. I have been trying to get some items completed as we had due dates moved up to before the end of the year rather than early January without a lot of warning. I was only half listening. You made me realize this is the area where a cousin recently moved to be closer to her children when you mentioned Broomfield.

Take care. Seeing the television reports rather than just the audio I am now triply glad you talked the young one into to turning around. It is just moving so quickly.
