    Good Morning.

I would love to see this. Maybe on his next trip to the White House. 🙂

At times I can’t believe what I am seeing.

“A teenage boy in a black mesh shirt performed with pink flames and rhinestones juggled batons while shaking his hips to techno music. A woman with a leotard took to the stage lying on her back while juggling soccer balls between her legs.”

      Jesus Christ…

Just listened to Kamala (well, most of it. I zoned out a lot.). The way she was grinning at the end, I thought she would break out into a cackle. Also, at the very end was the true reason for this clown show this morning. She talked about how they had to pass all the “voting rights” bills. Now the dementia patient is speaking. So, think I will change the channel as I can’t stand to listen to the bs/lies anymore. He is attacking Trump and saying he organized it and did nothing to stop it. Hate these people.

    • DeniseVB says:

Thanks for watching so I didn’t have too. I knew it would be a kabuki orange man bad sh*t show. I’ve been watching the new Magnolia network remodeling cabins in Maine. So far, so good, no politics 😀

Keeping a side eye on Twitter and FB for anything important. Nope.

Thanks for the summary. I was going to do my office visit tomorrow but they are predicting more snow overnight and after the cluster F on not dealing with the white stuff all over the place and the absolute havoc on I95 in Northern VA Monday with that storm I decided I would brave coming in today. Fortunately few are here and so far have not heard one word about the anniversary of the “insurrection”.

Of course why that idiot Senator Tim Kaine was on the road when he would have had even better warnings of the probable conditions than and got his little but out of Richmond by Sunday afternoon and not try and show off his bad motoring skills in a storm is beyond even my lovely new winter tin chapeau’s ability to interpret.

‘DEFEATED former president!’ Angry Joe Biden ERUPTS at Donald Trump in Capitol Hill speech

PRESIDENT Joe Biden erupted at Donald Trump during his speech which marked the anniversary of the Capitol Hill riots and said his “bruised ego” mattered more than US democracy in a fiery monologue.

    Don Surber:

    ITEM 1: Happy Insurrection Day!

I call it Insurrection Day because on this date 610 years ago — in 1412 — Saint Joan of Arc was born in Domrémy, France.

She led an actual insurrection against British rule. The Brits burned her at the stake for heresy on May 30, 1431. She lived only 19 years but she is still remembered centuries later because she listened to God.

Nancy isn’t Joan of Arc. She’s the one with the matches.

People joke about everyone running to the grocery store to get bread and milk the day before a snowstorm. I’m sure some of my neighbors are doing that, but there’s a lot more going on. While we had an inch or two on Christmas Eve, that was unexpected and mostly gone the next day. Tomorrow’s snow is our first real snow of the season, which is very late in coming.

Today the oil and propane companies are making a lot of deliveries. It’s easier to deliver when the ground is bare than to trudge through the snow to get to someone’s oil tank. Folks are loading up their trash and heading to the dump. It will be closed tomorrow because the same guys who work there are the folks who man the plows. It’s down a dirt road so getting there could be dicey Saturday or Sunday, and it’s closed on Mondays. Tomorrow is my trash pickup day so I’ll get my containers down to the street this afternoon and worry about how to get them back up when the storm is over.

Most of us are pre-sanding or salting our driveways. The UPS guy just brought me another 35 lb bag of salt. It won’t melt off 6″ of snow without some help, but it should make it safe enough for me to be able to get to the street before I get dug out. Saturday’s temps will remain below freezing, but the sun should be out, and that should clear my south facing driveway of what snow is left there. Sunday is another rainy day so unless we get a lot more than the 6″ predicted, everything should be brown again by Monday. Life in the snow capital of Rhode Island doesn’t mean I get much snow that hangs around. Just that it snows often. It’s too bad the snow in DC didn’t wait for today. 🙂

    • lyn5 says:

Our snow is melting, because it rained on Tuesday.

      • lateblum says:

Our snow is gone from the streets and sidewalks. But it’s been very cold so the snow is still on the grassy areas. Sadly, it didn’t stay snowy white for long.

Insurrection, under the 14th Amendment, applies to Confederate or others who took up arms vs the Union. It does not apply to disgruntled (voters) who entered the sanctuary of the House where these self entitled fools hid from them.

Scott hasn’t skipped a beat in a year and more people are noticing that he works harder than the entire RNC combined for voter education and candidates all across the country. I’m surprised the Dems haven’t been able to destroy him yet. Nah, not because he’s gay, because they managed to kill off Milo and Brando quite easily.

Bush destroyed the free market to save it in 2008. That led to the auto bailout. Now GM is in second place for the first time in decades. The GOP also fought to keep “the witch” Christine O’Donnell from winning a Senate race in 2010, keeping the Senate from the Republicans for another 4 years.

    • Sheldon Whitehouse is an embarrassment to anyone in RI with any ability to feel shame. If the folks in the eastern part of the state were more aware of his membership in an all-white club in Newport, that might be enough to oust him, but when it was reported locally, the spin was the “rubes” objected to his coming from “old money”. While 99% of the folks in the state would never have made the guest list at any of the homes in Newport, a lot of people miss that point.
