    Good Morning.

Sometimes it feels like we are!

  3. DeniseVB says:

Test, just wondering how the Truth Social links work. NurseMelissa is on fire over there after constantly getting banned on Twitter and FB. Give her a follow !

    https://truthsocial.com/@NurseMelissa73official/posts/108325931749053404

  4. taw46 says:

I’ll be glad when we can share a Truth here just like we share a tweet. But the link does work for me. Does it work for people who aren’t on TS yet? Also Denise, thanks for finding NurseMelissa, I didn’t have her yet on my follows! As always, she is hilarious.

    • taw46 says:

Meant to reply to Denise here!

    • DeniseVB says:

That’s a good question. No sense in sharing links that can’t be shared. Was hoping it worked like Twitter too, but even Twitter is starting to make it harder to see whole pictures and watch videos. Clickbait !

      • elliesmom says:

I can’t sign up for TS until I replace my old phone, but don’t let that stop you from sharing links here that I can’t see. Your comments usually give a clue as to what it’s about. If I start feeling left out, it will add to the incentive to choose a phone.

        • taw46 says:

You no longer need a phone app to sign up. As of a couple of days ago, you can sign up on your desktop. Just go to TruthSocial.com.

          • elliesmom says:

No, it’s a two-step verification process. You need to give them an email and a cellphone # they can use to verify your account by sending you a text message. You can access TS from other devices, but you still need a cellphone to get an account. I will get a new phone eventually. I’m just collecting offers for a bit. I don’t use it much so I’m looking for cheap. 🙂

          • swanspirit says:

I signed up to TS, on my Kindle, from TruthSocial.com. All I needed.was an email verification, no cellphone # text required. Try it, it should work. They asked for the phone#, but didn’t need to text for verification, just the email. I like the site, it runs very smoothly.

          • taw46 says:

Em, it was so long ago, I can’t remember for sure if I had to give them a phone number. Probably not, because when I was accepted, they notified me by email, not by text. I have never received a text from them.

          • taw46 says:

So em, let me correct this to say, I don’t remember seeing any text from them. But I did get lots of email when I was accepted, first one was to confirm my email address. It is possible that they sent me a text since I was on the iPhone app. Who knows, I’m getting old, lol.

          • DeniseVB says:

I hate when we run out of “replies” 😀 I signed up on my laptop, first then they prompted for a cell phone # which was almost a deal breaker, but it was for Donald, heh. It took awhile for my phone to receive the verification # so I requested it again and it was returned almost instantly. Glitchy maybe, just keep trying for those having sign up problems.

As I remember, it took me a year from joining Twitter to learn how to fine tune the experience. The block button is my most useful tool 😀

        • elliesmom says:

Even on my Kindle, it asks for a phone number. It has to be a cellphone to get the text message.

          • taw46 says:

Oops, meant to reply here. See my message just above, just now posted.

          • elliesmom says:

After I do the email verification, a screen asking for a telephone # comes next. If you put in a landline #, there is no way to retrieve the SMS code, and there doesn’t appear to be a way to bypass that screen. If you know a work around. . . But I’m not a tweeter so it’s not an experience I’m missing. I’ll will have a new phone eventually. It’s just not a priority. Some company will send me an offer for cheap service and a free phone. 🙂 Or I’ll dump my landline and my cable and get an expensive phone and internet service. I just don’t miss the cellphone, and it’s not power failure season.

          • taw46 says:

Lol, I just put another message up above. Also, did you see swannie’s post? She said she signed up on her Kindle and didn’t have to give a cellphone #. 🤷🏻‍♀️

          • taw46 says:

Have you tried to sign up on a desktop or laptop? Don’t know why it would make a difference, but worth a try. Swannie said she didn’t need a phone #, what about Denise and lyn? They just signed up, ask them.

          • taw46 says:

My signup was back in Feb, for the iPhone app. So I don’t know what to say here.

          • elliesmom says:

I’ve tried from TS’s website on both my laptop and my Kindle. Both take me to a phone # screen. I looked for a Truth Social app in the Kindle Store, and there wasn’t one. Not to stress. I find emough rabbit holes to go down online. 🙂

    • votermom says:

No, it goes to a TS login page

      • Somebody says:

That’s what I got, the truth social log in page

      • DeniseVB says:

Well, darn. I know when I was suspended I still could read the Twitter links, couldn’t comment on them, but rarely needed too 🙂 No biggie, Twitter still is way ahead on breaking news items.

        • taw46 says:

Supposedly, everything will eventually be like Twitter. All functions the same. We shall see.

  5. Anthony says:

    Heh…

    • DeniseVB says:

Been there. It did start with Obama, couldn’t support him for 2008. Dems said fine, you’re either with us or the hell with you…….bye, bye you Commies 😀

      • Anthony says:

What makes the TCHers outstanding is that none of us went over to the dark side after 2008. RD & UW, who claimed to be the bastions of transparency, did 180s so quick my head spun.

        • Helen+Kenney says:

all we had to do was read backtrack’s background to know he was anti-American and not good for this country.

          • Anthony says:

I was doing oppo research for the HRC campaign. There was NO way I was going to support him after all I found out. I gave the campaign til 5/31/08 when the R&B Committee met. Once she capitulated, I said ‘fuck this’ and registered as an Independent

        • taw46 says:

I will never forget the day after the election, when RD wrote that article about why Obama’s election would be a good thing for people. That was the start of people leaving her blog. It only went downhill from there.

          • lateblum says:

Actually, I don’t remember seeing that post.i may have already left by that time. I hung on a bit longer at UW. But those people were so vicious, they nearly got me banned on Twitter because of my comments about wasting my energy on HRC and not trusting BHO. It was shocking.

          • taw46 says:

Leslie, this is the article I mentioned. The blog did not want to hear this message the day after the election, as you can tell by reading some of the comments. And RD comments.

            https://riverdaughter.wordpress.com/2008/11/05/wednesday-we-have-overcome/#comments

          • 1539days says:

I think most people hung on at RD’s until she banned Klown. UW’s site just kind of fell apart as they were still trying to defend Hillary after Benghazi.

          • taw46 says:

Days, this was the start of them leaving her blog. And they left for other reasons, I remember the Israel/Palestine fight. Many left after that one. I was reading the blog less and less, but I did stay until the Klown left us with a message to “follow the yellow brick road”. Luckily I saw it and followed the link to his new blog. Happy ever since. And Uppity, well I really liked her back in the day. But she also changed, so I quit reading her many years ago.

        • DeniseVB says:

During the primaries they were Hillary supporters and hated the Obama supporters, who were raging assholes. Me and a few others here were in the John Edwards camp and had just gotten kicked in the heart, not only when he dropped out but cheated on Elizabeth. I know I felt done with supporting anyone. But the Hillary people were definitely nicer to me than the Obama aholes. The arrival of Sarah Palin into the fray made my transition to the other side easier. The way RD, UW, and the other NOWs treated Sarah convinced me chosing right was correct 😀 And they’ve gotten worse, they support Bidumb now 😛

          • taw46 says:

Yes, Sarah made it easier for me as well. Up until that time, I was wondering if I could vote Republican. I already knew that there was no way in hell I would ever vote for a democrat. And I haven’t since.

    • swanspirit says:

Elon Musk should talk to Brandon Straka, now that he is a WalkAway!

    • elliesmom says:

When I joined Hillary’s campaign in 2008, I wasn’t a Democrat. I was a woman seeking a woman who could be POTUS. I had signed on to Pat Schroeder’s campaign in 1988, and it had been a long dry spell of viable candidates. When she conceded the nomination to Obama, I had no compulsion to switch to supporting Obama. A friend who had a biracial son chastised me greatly and publicly for not being willing to work hard for her son to have a positive role model. I told her it wasn’t my issue. She didn’t even have an Obama yard sign, and she expected me to work full time as a volunteer.

But the most interesting thing to sit back and watch was all of the “Feminists” who were all in for Hillary because she was a woman tear Sarah Palin to shreds. They weren’t feminists at all. They were and still are rabid Democrats. Carolyn Maloney, who advocated for women to put politics aside and elect women of both parties, Amy Siskind of TNA, who was too stupid to choose a different TLA, and bloggers like RD, UW, and Jeralyn Merritt. Women don’t need men to divide and conquer. We do it to ourselves.

“If it had been Republicans doing it to a Democrat, the press would be losing its mind. Problem is, most media bought the Clinton-commissioned lies: The Washington Post and New York Times split a Pulitzer for their obsessive “news reporting” that repeated the lies to the world.

It was the most successful disinformation campaign in living memory, and the liberal media were at best willing dupes in that success. Maybe it’s not such a surprise they don’t much care to cover the trial that’s beginning to bring it all to light.”

        Julie Kelly 🇺🇸 @julie_kelly2

This will be the October surprise (September?) in 2022. A shameless, vengeful, partisan DOJ charging Trump—or at the very least funders and close associates—to taint his endorsed candidates and GOP in general. Every Republican who branded this an “insurrection” is responsible.

Back in 2008, when she and meathead were losing the election for McCain / Palin, she went on MSNBC in an adversarial interview and proceeded to beclown herself by refuting a claim about McCain that MSNBC made, when they showed her video of him saying it.

    • taw46 says:

She is really bad, but so are most of them over at MSNBC. They all spread disinformation and they all call conservatives racist. My relatives love her.
