The Cassidy Hutchinson “testimony” was so batshit crazy that the media has already been speculating that maybe she was possibly exaggerating some things. However, no mention of the fact that the J6 panel just decided to put it on TV because they’re in an echo chamber of idiocy now.

does anyone here know something about meta? I keep seeing ads for it and how kids can have a unique way to learn history and other subjects. I do not really understand it.

Coming home to mama this week. Hadley is the daughter of my favorite journalism professor, Charlie Hood. He died in 2013 from Parkinson’s, and Hadley also has the disease. 😦

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I’ve had a wonderful couple of days. Yesterday at the ocean with the kids, and today a friend hunted down some Chinese take-out, and we had a picnic on the beach. Finding Chinese food around here is difficult so it was a real treat.

When I got up this morning, I looked around and realized my house is a wreck. I reconciled myself to my friend knowing my house doesn’t usually look like this, and I just cleaned my bathroom in case she needed to use it. But she had invited another friend who came with pastries whose house is closer to the beach so my reputation as a “non-slob” is intact. A “non-slob” isn’t someone who always has everything in its place, but someone who isn’t embarrassed to get an unexpected knock on the door. “Non-slob” covers a great range of housekeeping depending on how neat and tidy one’s expectations are. My daughter thinks her kids do a better job of cleaning up after themselves than I do. 🙂

My house is alway a mess – we are total slobs!
So glad you are having a good birthday!

    • DeniseVB says:

I have a couple of those cutesy folk artsy signs hanging around … “Martha Stewart Doesn’t Live Here”…

“A Tidy House is the Sign of a Misspent Life” “A Creative Mind if Rarely Tidy” Oh, and a favorite “Thou Shalt Not Weigh More Than The Refrigerator”

Glad you had a nice birthday 🙂

Having lived in Jackson, Hole, I learned to watch out and be respectful of Grizzly Bears when out and about. When mushroom or berry gathering, always made noise to alert bears of my presence. Never saw any but could hear them moving away and smelling them.

Tourists get into major trouble with Bison, (# cause of animal /tourist injury) during Spring and with Grizzly bears when getting between mom and her very cute cubs. During the Winter, the Bison are cold and trying to conserve energy and seem to not give a sh*t about humans. Have photos of Al and I on snowmobiles in middle of slowing moving Bison herd.

  43. elliesmom says:

Tomorrow we should get the decision in West Virginia vs the EPA. If the Court decides in favor of West Virginia, it will be a much bigger earthquake than Dobbs, but it appears to be not registering on the political seismograph. There seems to be more discussion about whether Trump could have high-jacked his SUV or limo.

    • Somebody says:

I’m curious about the WV ruling too. Specifically how broad or narrow their ruling will be. The devil is always in the details😉

      • elliesmom says:

I thought the Court would hold Dobbs for last. That they held this one for tomorrow either says it’s going to be a bombshell or Breyer wrote the opinion.
