Update on the mammogram callback – got a “probably benign” but we want to see you every 6 months for the next two years.
Also, did a poop test instead of a colonoscopy and results say “go get a colonoscopy.”
So, my “what me worry” muscle is getting a good workout

    • taw46 says:

Sounds like added tests, in order to get more money from insurance. It has come to this, I don’t trust people anymore. On the mammogram, I will give them the benefit of doubt and say it is a good thing they want to keep an eye on you. As for the poop test, maybe you have polyps. In which case you need the colonoscopy to remove them. And most of the time, they are not cancer or pre-cancerous. Have you ever had a colonoscopy? The prep is bad, the procedure is nothing because you are asleep. Again, try not to worry. Haha, coming from me who worries a lot about things. But in most all cases, I worried for nothing.

    • Miranda says:

I think all poop tests have the ‘get a colonoscopy’ result. Aunt did the test, had the above result, got the colonoscopy, and there was absolutely no issue.

It’s good to keep an eye on things, but I would think if they were really worried about the mammogram, they would do a biopsy.

      • votermom says:

You’re right – it’s pretty much CYA protocol by the docs

      • Somebody says:

I’ve been through the you need a colonoscopy routine based on a stool test. In my case I had a physical the day before my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. I was harassed and harranged to have a colonoscopy.

I prepped in my daughter’s hospital room and made a complete ass of myself in recovery. Although in my defense the two old men in recovery truly seemed to enjoy my anesthesia induced peep show🤣 I was singularly focused on returning to my daughter’s side ASAP and waiting 30 minutes following the procedure was a bridge too far for me🤣

My test results were fine, BUT, BUT, BUT (no pun intended). The whole thing set me up for yearly colonoscopies for several years, then every 3 years after that, until I said no more. I asked for the mapping where you swallow a pill after initial mapping. Sorry because of that one stool test, you’re not a candidate. I asked for the new stool test, nope remember that one time over a decade ago when we found blood in your stool? You don’t qualify.

I think you should get the colonoscopy to make sure there isn’t a problem, but ask up front what the expectation is. Is this leading to continual colonoscopies? Can you have the digital mapping so in the future you swallow a pill? If things are clear can you switch to the new DNA based stool test?

Take my advice for what it is worth, but been there, done that. More than likely if by chance they find something it will be benign, most likely they won’t find anything. If by some odd chance they do find something, early diagnosis is the key. Years ago they found andecarcinoma during my mother’s routine colonoscopy. It was small, they took care of it on the spot. She had yearly colonoscopies after and they’ve never found anything else.

        • votermom says:

Wow. You have the bedt stories, but it must have been harrowing to get that while your daughter was in the hospital.
          Good tip about asking.
And just between you & me, my primary care said that when I call to schedule, might be cheaper if I forget to mention the stool test. Just ask for a screening
If they find something they’re gonna charge it to diagnostic anyway

      • SHV says:

“I think all poop tests have the ‘get a colonoscopy’ result. ”
I’m not sure of the value of the Cologuard stool test unless the person has a major contraindication for having a colonoscopy. Cologuard will detect ~90% of colon cancers but only ~ 40% of large precancerous polyps. IMO, the major benefit of colonoscopy is identifying polyps and preventing cancer by removing polyps before they become malignant.

    • lateblum says:

Thank you for the update. I’m relieved for you. Miranda’s right. They would have scheduled a biopsy if they had real concerns about their findings. That’s what they did for me when they found that tiny “lump” a few years ago. I’d had a biopsy nearly 15 years earlier and they found nothing to worry about.
(I began several comments to you with questions about your mammogram and ultrasound, but then deleted them before posting because I figured you’d let us know when you could.)

    • lyn5 says:

That happened to me, but my colonoscopy was clean. Try not to worry.

    • Constance says:

If they didn’t do a biopsy I’d say there is nothing to worry about. The worst part about a colonoscopy is the preparation. You will be asleep for the colonoscopy part. Just remember beer and white wine are clear liquids.

  6. taw46 says:

This is how MSNBC operates. Never give the full facts to its audience. I just heard a brief bit from Joe about Hillary. He was saying how wrong it was to have the Lock Her Up chants, because it was all about a few emails that MAY have been classified AFTER the fact. No mention of the 30,000+ emails, no mention of the server in her house, no mention of the destroyed server and phones. They do this all the time. Yesterday I saw them talking about the “peaceful protests” in front of the WH in 2020 and how Trump used law enforcement to break it up. And they were showing video of earlier that day. Not that night when they were fighting the Secret Service, when they tried to burn down the church, when they set fire to the restroom building in that park. They didn’t talk about how the mob was trying to tear down the fence surrounding the WH and how they had to move the President to his bunker. That is why they are always able to fool these people who watch them (like my relatives), because they lie. Outright lie, because they know their audience will never fact check them.

Hunter Biden Breathes Sigh Of Relief As FBI Raid Team Passes By His House On Way to Mar-A-Lago

    • taw46 says:

So true. Looks like he will never have to worry. I watched Will Cain last night interview a talk show host. The talk show guy (can’t remember his name) pointed out that the FBI doesn’t even have to do an investigation on Hunter, because Hunter put all the evidence on his laptop for all to see. Sex with hookers, probably some underage girls, using crack, getting money from foreign governments. And they STILL won’t do anything. Meanwhile, Eric and Don Jr. have to worry that the FBI may raid their house in the middle of the night, with a CNN crew in tow, to film them in their underwear. An INSANE world we have right now.

I heard Miranda Devine tonight. She said that raid lasted 9 hrs, they were rude and would not allow Trump’s lawyers to come inside in the air-conditioned lobby, made them stay outside. They said they had authority to look at everything and went in every single room. And supposedly made staff turn off security cameras. So there is the thought that they may have planted evidence.
