On Sunday night during our gabfest, Amazon delivered two packages- a new leash and a smaller collar for Ellie. It was late when we ended so when I looked out the front door, and it wasn’t there, I checked Amazon, and the package was pictured downstairs at the garage. I have never had a package stolen so I just left it there until morning. It was about 10 am when I saw the package was missing. I do have a neighbor who can be overly helpful so I waited until she got home from work to see if she had retrieved it for me, but she got out of her car and just went into her house.

Yesterday morning I notified Amazon the package had been stolen. While I didn’t expect them to replace it, I did ask them to remind their delivery person to leave packages where I had requested, which is out of sight of the street. I placed an order for a different color set so if the first one showed up, I wouldn’t have two the same. Ellie and I went for our swim, and when we got back, the two original packages were in my mailbox unopened. I had already collected the mail on Monday and Tuesday, and the packages weren’t there. I only saw them because the box was partly open. I’m guessing maybe some kids decided to play “porch pirate”, and one of them had a meeting with his or her conscience and decided to return it. Stuffing something in my mailbox at the bottom of the hill would be less risky than trying to get back to my garage unnoticed. When you felt what was inside, it was pretty obvious what they were. Maybe stealing from a person is OK, but stealing from Ellie wasn’t. I can’t think of any other explanation.

Our neighbors across the street have the whole state of the art security shebang. If anything happens at our home over night, we’ll have the evidence 🙂 These are the same neighbors who called us from Germany and asked if we could pick up the package on their front porch. Then they emailed us the photo of M picking it up. Kind of scary cool, I just have to make sure M’s wearing pants when he picks up the paper in the a.m. Don’t worry ladies, his tshirts are thigh length, it’s just the bending over……. lol.

I’m sorry your package went missing EM, but glad it found its way back. Maybe it was a good Samaritan.

Denise, my neighbor across the street owned a company the installed security surveillance for businesses. Shortly after he moved in he had our entire cul-de-sac under surveillance. He has a bank of monitors set up on one wall in his air conditioned garage. He can manipulate his cameras, zoom, etc. He sits and watches everybody and everything day and night, it’s so creepy. Well except when his garage band buddies are over🙄

To be fair, when most of us evacuated for Hurricane Matthew, he caught, apprehended and held looters. When the police arrived he gave them surveillance video of them in the act. So in that one instance, cool. Our house was untouched thanks to his efforts, so again 👍.

Outside of that one instance, creepy. I only have privacy directly behind my house. I’m quite aware that I’m on camera whenever I get my mail, walk my dogs, take the trash out, get in my car🙄

I have mixed feelings about my nosy neighbor. She pays far too much attention to what goes on at my house, but on the other hand if I was in some sort of distress, she’s the one who would notice I needed help. Occasionally, my brother comes and spends the weekend with me without his wife, and she can’t figure out who he is. I could satisfy her curiosity for her, but it’s more fun not to.

          • Somebody says:

I had a similar situation with my brother and my nosy neighbor when my husband was in NJ. My brother’s marriage dissolved so he stayed here a couple of days, my nosy neighbor called my husband on his cell to tattle on me🤣🤣 Instead of telling him it was my brother, my husband pretended to be angry🙄

    • votermom says:

      That stinks!
I guess it was stolen abd returned

    • swanspirit says:

I think it was kids too. I live in a neighborhood where I can leave things unlocked, if I choose. The only time I have ever had anything stolen, was many years ago, during the winter, and it was some local kids, who took something out of my car. The reason I know this, is that it was right after a big snowstorm, and the kids who did it left big tracks in the snow, all the way back to their home. The police just followed their tracks. There were no other tracks in the snow, besides the usual bird and critter tracks. I still laugh when I think about that. No one was arrested, no charges pressed, but some stern lectures were given, so I understand, and hopefully, lessons learned.
I am glad you got your items back, and that Ellie will have her new collar to show off.
I hope whoever took them, did have a conscience, that guided them to return the stolen goods!

Good, if he said he had lunch with so and so at noon on the 15th and security cameras show they were seated at 12:03, that bitch would charge him with perjury.

The left will try to make hay pit of it, but most people understand it’s nothing but a witch hunt. If they had anything on him they would have put him under the jail by now. He’s probably the most investigated man is America.

      • taw46 says:

That’s what I keep saying, they haven’t found a damn thing on him since they started looking in 2015. And I am glad he didn’t talk with that bitch today.

First of all, his attorneys asked for a copy of the warrant and were refused. There also was no inventory provided of what they took, which is the norm. Second, if he had the warrant he couldn’t release it because it’s under seal and releasing it would be a crime.

I don’t like watching that. What a sad country we have become. She was campaigning to become NYC AG and all I ever saw her talk about was ‘getting’ Donald Trump. And “taking the fight to the WH”, which is not her job. Such an evil, hateful woman. She has a vendetta against one individual, which should disqualify anyone from holding that office. Instead the commies cheer her on. She has no proof of anything she says about him, but she states it all as if it proven fact.

    Am I wrong?

On what authority can the IRS use a gun? If you commit fraud or evade taxes the IRs refers you for presecution. What would they need guns for? How would it ever come to pass that an agent might need to shoot someone do they have the power to arrest? Will they go after blm rioters for ill gotten gains. I believe you have to report items rec’d over 1000 and pay taxes on it. The 80 + thousand new hires scares me but the need for millions of bullets is truly horrific to think about.

    • Somebody says:

The IRS has a criminal division, those agents do have weapons and arrest authority. I believe they are technically considered treasury agents, but I know for damn well they have a criminal division because a relative of mine was the head of it for about a decade.

They go after money laundering, cartels, companies that are paying under the table to FICA taxes. Big tax evaders, like people that use scam investments or loans to avoid taxes, people that illegally offshore their money.

They do indeed have weapons because drug dealers are generally very fond of their money and their freedom. Sometimes it’s easier to get criminals for tax evasion, see AL Capone.

I am not aware of IRS auditors being armed, if they are that is new. My CA sister’s step daughter is an auditor and I’ve never heard mention of her being armed. Given all of the CA crew’s view of guns, I’m thinking they are not armed. Maybe special auditors of some kind are, but not the run of the mill ones.

The mystery of my missing package has been solved. My faith restored, No theft involved. 🙂 Amazon delivered 4 packages to my street around 9 pm Sunday night. There was no moon, and we don’t have streetlights so it was very dark. The packages were for 189, 191, 193, and 195, but the driver delivered them to 191, 193, 195, and 197. My next door neighbor came home late, grabbed her package, didn’t look at it and just tossed in on her table. She left for work without looking at it. When she got home Monday night, she found her correct package at her door so she looked at the one she already had and realized it was mine, but it was dark, and she wasn’t comfortable going out after dark. On Tuesday morning she was late for work so she just rolled down her window and stuffed it in my mailbox. She stopped me today to apologize for taking so long. I hadn’t realized how similar our garage doors are until I looked the picture again. 🙂

Oh, one time my neighbor got my package (delivery mistake) but I think they were away so it was two days before they gave it to me and I had already complained to amazon.
Luckily I was still able to cancel the free replacement Amazon was gonna send.

The whole raid premise is so weird. They supposedly had a inside source who told them where to find documents however they broke open an empty safe? They went through Melania’s clothing? Trump got a subpoena for these documents in June and complied with it on time? I think they planted something. It could be documents, it could be radioactivity to make him sick, it could be spy devices. Nothing about this adds up. The FBI looks foolish and desperate.
