This dress won’t die, but it makes better sense now.

Twitter’s a jerk again. Tap on the photo to see the full professionally modeled version. If you can, grrrrr.

      • swanspirit says:

I saw the full version. Still not a fan of the dress. It’s too frou frou for my taste. I think it’s the sleeves that ruin it.
Jill looked at that dress and thought, “That’s for me!”? She has some serious body Image distortion going on.

        • elliesmom says:

I remember being out shopping for a dress for a very special occasion many years ago. I took a dress I loved into the dressing room and tried it on. It fell short of my expectations to say the least. A meticulously dressed saleswoman measured me for a bra and then sent me out to the racks to find something that “looked like nothing on the hanger”. She came back with a bra, and I came back with a very simple black dress with a velvet bodice and a black taffeta skirt. Not a single embellishment. I put the bra and the dress on, and the transformation was incredible. It was my first step in learning not to choose what was “in style” unless it’s “my style”. Both Jill and Michelle go for what’s trendy, but Melania’s choices are classically hers. She always looks timeless. Like Audrey Hepburn.

I had a similar dress experience years ago with a sales lady. I never would have picked that particular dress myself. I’ve never been a trendy person, but I’m not sure I make the best clothing selections either. I like comfort, my daughter and sales ladies always chastise me “That would look fabulous on you if you went down a size or two” 🤣 I like my clothes loose☺️

It looks like it was made from the blue side of preowned paper masks.

      • Somebody says:

Maybe Jill was borrowing a page from Michelle. Remember how Michelle would wear items from J Crew or similar and they’d sell out. Drooling fan girls would want “the look”.

Maybe “doctor” Jill told her staff she wanted to emulate that Michelle tactic, she wanted to prove doggone it people like her. Perplexed wondering in this Biden economy what women could afford her staff came up with this dress from Jill and company thought perfect we have a winner! For the same price as a gallon of gas the plebes can have “the look”. Millions walking around dressed like “doctor queen Jill”! That’s it that’s the ticket, that will up our approvals that will make them thing we’re just like them! Could be, could be.

Maybe staff got some of Jill’s luggage mixed up with Hunter’s crack where.

Maybe Jill’s designer couldn’t afford material and staff so snagged the dress off either thinking nobody would find it 🤔

Headed to the third memorial service since the first of the month this weekend. Very sudden and the cousin who is the closest thing I have ever had to to a sister. its hit hard. Nurse Jill and her (not so) savvy youthful style was just the ticket to cheer me up a bit.

Thanks one and all for the fun comments as well.

How did I miss this? I did not know she was running for AOC’s seat. Do you remember her, @RealTina40? But how has she escaped being arrested by the government? She was in DC, not in the Capitol, I remember seeing her and a group with that huge flag. But given the FBI is going after everyone they can, trying to charge people with planning an “insurrection”, it certainly looks like they built a case with her (see the Snopes link). But so far, she is free and running for Congress (in the Republican primary).

  5. taw4 says:

I hope lyn is feeling ok, I know she said on Monday that she and her husband were sick. I don’t believe she has commented since yesterday afternoon. So if you see this, lyn, I hope you get well soon!

    • Somebody says:

Thanks for the heads up, I missed that comment. Hopefully Lyn and her hubby are doing well and her absence is due to them being out enjoying their beautiful surroundings! If not hopefully they both get well soon.

    • lateblum says:

I missed that as well. I hope lyn and hubby get well soon. 😘💕💕

I had so much fun last night reading the comments from the whining liberals. 66-28? And then to listen to Liz’s speech, she still doesn’t get it. None of the elitists do. The people are REJECTING them.

  7. taw4 says:

  8. taw4 says:

She thinks she is the one who should decide who sits in the Oval Office. Not us peons.

    • lateblum says:

She looks like such an arrogant elitist in that photo. Gah! I can’t stand her.

      • taw4 says:

She is definitely an arrogant elitist, especially when she said “I will do whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office.” How far is she willing to go?

        • lateblum says:

          As seen on Twitter:

    • Miranda says:

All White teachers in Minneapolis should quit and move to other states. Parents who actually care about their kids getting a quality education should do the same.

      • lateblum says:

Harris Faulkner just had an attorney from Ohio who, it seemed, was a personal friend of hers, on the Faulkner Focus. When Harris asked her friend about this new (racist) policy in the Minneapolis school system, the friend wouldn’t directly answer about the racist and illegal nature of this policy. Harris appeared genuinely dismayed and surprised that this friend, also a poc, would not voice a point of view that this racist policy was wrong. Shocking that an attorney who could agree a policy was illegal and unconstitutional was wrong.

I’m shocked they hadn’t thought of this before.

    • elliesmom says:

A lot of states require bartenders to be licensed. My dad’s Legion Post rented out their facilities for weddings and parties. The state didn’t require the guys who bartended to be licensed, but their insurance carriers required the guys to take a class in the legal aspects of working at the bar. When and how to cut people off, weights and measures, and keeping a bar that met board of health standards. My dad was gone for a weekend to take the class. There was nothing in the class about how to mix a drink. The liquor distributors sent the guys to classes for that. I can actually see the value in making bartenders prove they know how to run a responsible bar.

      • Mothy67 says:

That has been around for a long time. Servers have to get certified in many places as well. Not legally required but most big companies insist. You only have to do it once to be certified. A lot of it doesn’t matter today as you never know what pills people are popping and how they mix with alcohol.

        • votermom says:

Mothy, you were asking about ads. I mostly see ads on Hulu and on tv channels when hubby has the nooz on, and what I see are a ton of anti Doug Mastriano smear ads
I’ve seen a couple of anti Oz ads
I think I’ve seen one Fetterman ad a couple of times

I wonder how much liz would have lost by without dim crossovers. 80%?

    • elliesmom says:

I doubt there were very many crossovers. There aren’t enough registered Democrats in Wyoming to make a dent. It takes effort to change your registration and then change it back even in states that let you do it on election day. It was totally a symbolic gesture, and anyone who watched any news channel at all knew it. How many Republicans would choose to vote in the Democrats’ primary in West Virginia to keep Joe Manchin in office, and he’s more popular with Republicans than Cheney is with Democrats?

      • Mothy67 says:

you are probably right on dims crossing over for liz but changing parties is easy at least in PA as long as you are already registered and have a state issued ID you can switch online in 30 seconds. I got my new registration card a week after I switched.
