I remember when she got the Emmy she thanked her husband (Parker Stevenson) “for giving me the Big One”. I always enjoyed her saltiness 😀
They tried to cancel her, but she held her ground. A good actress and beautiful woman, especially stunning as Saavik in the Star Trek movie.
I wonder what kind of cancer kills so fast ? My dad and sister had brain cancer in the 80’s which was 3 and 6 months for them, but McCain had the same type and lived almost 3 years. Cancer isn’t the sudden death sentence it once was. Unless she chose to go untreated which would be in the tenants of Scientology ? I hope there was no suffering.
Pancreatic cancer is one, because there aren’t usually symptoms until it has spread to other organs. I had a cousin who died 3 months after diagnosis, it had spread to her stomach and bones. I couldn’t believe how well she looked and then she was gone. 😢
Our neighbor died within two days of diagnosis.
Oh my. And I was shocked at 3 months, I can’t imagine 2 days. So sad.
I saw her two weeks before she died. Her face was gray. I asked if she had seen a doctor; she said she was feeling better. On the night she was hospitalized, she called her brother and he told her to get to the ER ASAP.
The Daily Mail says it was colon cancer.

Ovarian is another one that doesn’t have symptoms until late in the process. Basically, it’s what stage the cancer is at when they catch it and how well the person responds to treatment.
Carboplatin got Mom into remission from stage 4 ovarian cancer twice, but then she developed an allergy to it and went into analphalactic shock during chemo (that was a fun day). No other drug did as well.

My ex was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Memorial Day in 2005. He enrolled in a U of Chicago trial and went into remission for less than a month. When they discovered the cancer had returned, the program dropped him saying they would refer him to a doctor. They didn’t. He died weeks later on October 1, 2005.
I am still angry about their lack of care of their patients.

In response to your comment above, Mom passed in 07, not from the shock reaction in chemo, just from damage by the cancer.
I thought their titles were stripped when they QUIT the family’s firm? I know they wanted to use royal titles to make money.

Kirstie Alley was very open ahout her history with cocaine abuse and vocal in her opposition to dosing children. She sat with Tucker on his Fox Nation show. I found her politics interesting as it seemed like she was just a normal person who responded genuinely to the insanity of Hollywood reaction to all things Trump. James Woods is a clever fellow and (to me) comes across as someone acting with intent. Praise him, but Alley seemed like someone you could be in line with at the grocery store who just casually said you people are all fucked in the head. Simply casually observed how the entertainment industry jumped the shark. Today or maybe yesterday Henry Winkler saw fit to criticize Herschal Walker for his lack of fluidity in speaking. The same people who applaud Fetterman and Biden judge quite condescendingly how Walker expresses himself. A guy who actually pulled himself out of abject poverty to be able to run for the Senate. I don’t think he lived in mom and dad’s basement until he was 40. The Fonz is attacking how a black man speaks. Were he a dimocrat and a rethug mocked his verbal skills the ladies on The View would implode with righteous indignation. Silence because he is not democrat.

I have never considered myself a republican. I hold lots of opinions that classically are left. Some are impractical. My feelings about marriage is government get out. From experience unless a person finds something to latch on to outside of the self recovery from addiction is nearly impossible. Addiction is self absorption. All you think about is you. I agree Kirstie Alley came across as very relatable. Maybe because she left Hollywood? It’s hard to recognize a bubble when you are inside it.
As for Herschel Walker, he’s not a particularly good public speaker or perhaps not a polished public speaker would be a better description. He doesn’t do very well reading off a teleprompter or reading a prepared speech. He can speak well when he’s speaking from the heart, when he’s speaking about something important to him, something he’s familiar with.
Trump is similar, he does much better off the cuff, but he’s getting better with the teleprompter. I think in both cases it’s because neither men are professional politicians.
That being said, stone cold drunk and sleep deprived Herschel Walker can speak circles around John Fetterman.

Actually Rosanne Boyland was trampled and then beaten to death while unconscious by a capitol policewoman. There were also two men hit with percussion grenades that died that day.
