I would be happy if the Republicans concentrated on cleaning up our elections. That might include keeping the FBI and the other intelligence agencies from putting their thumbs on the scale. But there is no way any member of the Biden family is going to prison or even being kicked out of government. Going after them is just theater costing taxpayers millions with no result. That Republicans both at the national and state level don’t have election fraud as their number one priority says to me they like things just the way they are as much as the Democrats do. Did any Republican lose who had the full backing of McConnell, McCarthy, and McDaniel?
So far, all I’m seeing is ‘bread and circuses.’ Any bill passed in the house is DOA in the Senate, and in the unlikely event something makes it to Brandon’s desk, his veto pen will kill it.
The bill the House just passed that prevents Biden from selling our strategic petroleum reserves to China got about half the Democrats on board so that might survive a Biden veto, but it’s sort of moot given how much he’s already sold.
The elections should be a priority. I would also love to see insider trading by congress illegal again. No one has even mentioned it, that I have heard.
A new RNC chair would be a good start.
The only thing a Republican House can do until the next election is propose a budget without earmarks or pork that’s hundreds instead of thousands of pages and fight the budget battle.

Odd that several college friends that I lost over Trump felt the need to text me yesterday on how much they think I look like the actor who played young Elvis. I am far from that attractive. I was pretty much the same age as Lisa Marie. I was a kid when he died. I remember it vividly. There were 3 tv stations. We had yet to get cable. It was all the news. I am too young for Monroe. Elvis was the fist super star I was aware of. His death shook the world. Read Lisa Marie died from cocaine. Who snorts blow at 54. It is exhausting. A drug for the young. I admit I partook in the 1980s when I was a lad. This might sound cold but I cannot see hiding in a bathroom rolling up a dollar bill and doing blow. I have frequent flyer miles to detox so not fit to judge. Cocaine at 54 seems surreal. It can send you off the charts happy but the crash is brutal. I had no problem walking away. It put me in a deep dark depression when I got off. I went to midnight madness meetings for months after I snorted heroin for two weeks. I never touched it again. I am incapable of shame. This point in my life I feel honesty is all I have. I struggle with it. I just do not get cocaine after 30. I went downstairs I spoke of Lisa Marie. I had only uttered a blurb. This guy on FOX said my words. I was born in 1967 my mother in 1947! I only said how does anyone grow up in Elvis shadow. It had to suck being the child of Elvis and Priscilla. How do you live up to that? He was called The King. I was at a party with the Jackson girl. She is stunning. Micheal Jackson’s daughter!! She is worth a half a billion. Kind. She said it was her grandmother. Her grandmother taught her to be decent.
I’m wondering if the discovery of all these classified docs, which must have been known about for years, is someone’s effort on the Dem side to push Biden off the cliff. If he’s out by Jan 21, give or take, Empty paints suit Cameltoe Harris gets to be president for 10 years. And let’s not pretend voters would have any say over 10 years either.

It is sad that two beautiful souls like Elvis & Lisa Marie are gone when a vampire like Priscilla still walks the earth. We are now going to have to pretend that narcissistic twat was a good, caring mother like we have to pretend she loved Elvis. In reality she was fucking the dance instructor when Lisa Marie was 2 months old than flaunting her affair with the karate instructor which ended the marriage. No woman who loves her husband cheats on him regardless of whether he is faithful or not. She then lived with the karate instructor for 7 years, fucked her way through Hollywood to become an actress & lived with Marco Girabaldi for 20 years (and had a son, Navarrone, with him). She never remarried so she could keep the last name Presley which is all she cared about. Now she acts like she is Elvis’s widow. Bitch you lived with 2 different men for 6x longer than you were with Elvis. If she had been a good woman, like Linda Thompson (or if Linda had gotten with Elvis in 1970 instead of 1972) Elvis’s drug use wouldn’t have spiraled out of control as it did. Unfortunately by the time Linda met him she could only help him maintain.
And poor Lisa Marie. Priscilla was on her way out when she conveniently found herself pregnant, forcing Elvis to give up Ann Margaret & go thru with their wedding. Priscilla and Elvis were both heavily users of amphetamines and tranquilizers when Lisa Marie was conceived. I have always been convinced that predisposed her to having the drug addiction issues she suffered with all her life. Her son Benjamin’s suicide in 2020 got her right back into the drugs, as was obvious from her recent appearances. Add in the Presley genetics (Elvis’s mom dead of a heart attack at 46, dad at 63, and while Elvis’s drug use sped his untimely death up at 42, he was obviously suffering from congestive heart disease with the weight gain, water retention & bloat), and the poor girl never had a chance. The fact her mother moved her to LA after her father died and got her mixed up with the Scientology bullshit didn’t help.
May Lisa Marie RIP with her daddy & son.

Lisa Maria had a tough life with lots of people looking to use her. Including her mother. In reading the obits, apparently she had also lost a son to suicide rather recently.
On the upside, Ann Margaret eventually married Roger Smith and had a long, apparently strong, marriage until his death.
Elvis and Ann remained friends. Probably annoyed Pricilla to the max because she certainly never had a fraction of Ann’s talent and charisma.
Yes, Benjamin, Lisa Marie’s son with her 1st husband Danny Koegh, shot himself in the mouth in 2020. He was 27 and suffered seriously from depression.
She leaves behind her daughter Riley Koegh, 33 and 14 year old twin daughters with 4th husband Lockwood.
She was married for 2 years to Michael Jackson & for 100 days to Nic Cage between marriages 1 & 4.
I knew about Jackson and Cage but was not sure on the rest. Thank you. I just have always had a soft spot for her because even when young it was clear her life was not her own and I feel she was abused in many ways. I think had her mother been more of a mother and less of a leech she would have realized that Lisa Marie would likely faired far better away from the pressures of the entertainment industry and the craziness of cult and perhaps settle somewhere people would leave them to live their lives in relative peace. Perhaps overseas where the Elvis phenomena was not quite as all consuming.

I have been to detox three times. addiction can take everything. Whatyou earn is irrelevant. I am only reflecting. Cocaine is expensive. It also beats the shit out of you. I go to NA meetings because where I am AA is like Gossip Girl. I prefer heroin addicts. I dont know anyone over 30 who has used coke daily. It takes evetything. The next day you can’t get out of bed. Maybe I am a joke but someone doing blow after 50 seems odd. Lisa Marie did rehab if I am correct. I honestly know zip, but I have spent hours, days, weeks in rehab. I have not once seena 54year old woman who snorted blow. You die at 25 if you are a coke head. Coke kills. It is not rocket science.

He ate pills right. I know people that got hooked on pain meds but that was never me. I liked being drunk at breakfast. Alcohol was my only poison. I have done drugs. Probably them all. I could walk away. Not so much with booze. I honestly am at a loss with a 54 year old on cocaine. It leaves you broken. Hurting. I assume the same can be said about drinking. I never wanted two glasses of wine with dinner. I loved being shit faced. Intoxication was heaven. If you stay alive long enough a gallon of vodka a day takes its revenge. I have spent months maybe years studying alcoholism. I can’t claim to know anything about cocaine. My gut reaction to Lisa Marie was who does blow at 54. Coke is so fucked up. You want more. You burn out at 25. No one gets a line at 54. I have travelled down that rugged old road. I feel itis fishy

I am looking at Lisa Maria as someone who drank. Denise said addiction is addiction. I get the words but as a person who has substance abuse history. I have lost friends to heroin. I don’t get it. I try. I cannot get it. I go to a meeting almost every day. Being honest I would have ended Tim many years ago. It sucks being sick. I can not depart if my Shay needs me. I adore her. She is my tiny girl. I will go to rehab a billion times if it means I might protect baby. I would bastardize Gordon Lightfoot. I would give everything I own.
You really should read Perry’s book, he puts you into the mind of an addict who can justify anything. 🙂 Stroke aside, my fear is that the next one will be worse and it won’t kill me. Be careful.

The thing that scare me about Lisa Marie is we can all be 15 minutes from death. I have gone to detox like 500 times. I have felt the pain. I took ambulances because I could not permit Shay to see me die. Iwanted to end but she was there. I made a choice. She values to me. How can we prevent Lisa Marie. I have been there it sucks.
