Back when you went through something similar, how long were you in the hospital?
Two weeks, then moved to a hospital with an inpatient rehab wing for two more weeks for PT. I felt very hopeful for Em moving to rehab after only a week.
Is she in rehab already? Awesome
I have two get well cards for her: “Heal” with a dog on the front and a cute poem from a little birdie who wishes her well.

I mailed a card today, hope she gers it soon.
The card I sent to Denise took at least a month to get to her, so I think I’ll send one to em’s home and one to the hospital.

Another card in the mail here. I looked for an internal card/email system but all they had was a very basic email service and it does not appear to be working.
With the cards, you pick from a few simple one sheet designs and they print out, fold and deliver to the rooms. Email you can write a short note and it is delivered in print form.

Our country as we know it, is rapidly coming to an end. You have to believe our elected officials want this outcome, because they didnāt fight it for all these years. Decades. I didnāt even know how bad it was until the Obama years. Remember Jan Brewer, the governor of Arizona? She tried to stop it, and Obama and his people attacked her each and every time. All of the states should have stood with her at that time, but they didnāt. They will easily reach 100 million, we ARE being replaced. Sorry for being so pessimistic.

I don’t really see a satisfactory outcome for this. Biden wouldn’t be removed from office. Republicans would be mad because McCarthy didn’t get him removed from office and the people who just watch “the news” would be fed a bunch of lies about a “coup attempt” with “no evidence.”
Do Something is not part of the GOP’s vocabulary anyhow. Just tired of the constant strongly worded babble too. I don’t want Biden gone, we get Kam the Kackler. Just stopping Biden’s stupid policies would help. I just saw RfKjr is tied with Sleepy Joe in the Dem primary polls. Kennedy better be careful, there’s skeletons in his closet and vile Dems will not hesitate to drag them out.
That may all be true. But what the Republicans could do, is file lawsuit after lawsuit, to at least slow down the invasion. Remember the judge in CA and the one in Hawaii? Trumpās admin had a lot of lawsuits to deal with, that stopped him building the wall for a long time.
But as for the impeachment, it doesnāt matter whether or not he is removed. It didnāt with Trump, but gave the left a talking point, ātwice impeached Presidentā. So, give the right a talking point, play by the leftās rules. Sorry, but I am just so disgusted with elected republicans who donāt fight. (Only a few do.)

Agree with you Taw, use lawfare tactics. They are at least a little, judge in FL just ruled Biden administration can’t release illegals without court dates. There is a judge in TX that has ruled on a couple of things too.
The right just doesn’t have the deep bench of lawyers the left does, nor as many judges. The left also has the administrative state or deep state or whatever you want to call it on their side. When judges rule against the right the order is followed, it’s usually interpreted to be more restrictive than the actual order. When a judge rules against the left they ignore it usually or they find a favorable judge to issue a counter order. The deep state slows to a crawl or refuses altogether to carry out policies if they don’t like them and nothing happens. When a D is in office they abuse their power and nothing happens.
Last, but not least the left owns the media and because of that they drive the narrative. Whether Biden is impeached or not, the narrative won’t be impeached or twice impeached. It will be persecuted by far right fascists. Every history book will have an asterisk, Biden wasn’t impeached-impeached, it was a far right conspiracy, Yada, yada.

All of that is probably true. But I still think they should make the effort. Do it for their constituents and because it is the right thing to do for the country.

Yep. I just got out of Twitmo last evening. All because I hoped that two criminals whoād smuggled 20 kilo of fentanyl into Chicago Midway Airport would die in prison. I have never really been a Steven King fan and went off him completely years ago when he was on yet another tangent about how he is a god who must be obeyed. I’ve lost my taste for all fast food chicken when you can bake a fresh chicken breast with olive oil, lemon juice, McCormick’s Montreal Chicken spice and butter for 30 minutes, anytime. Save money buying in bulk or on sale and freezing individually, don’t even have to defrost just bake a little longer.
We have an air fryer, and I want to try making our own.
I love air-fried finished potato chips.
Another easy/tasty is to slather the chicken breast with mayonnaise, sprinkle on your favorite herb/spice mix, & bake at 420 for 15-20 minutes until the internal temp is at least 150 degrees.

Before I leave for the morning, I want to let you all know that the movie āAirā is now free on Prime. Itās a story about the partnering of basketball player Michael Jordan and Nike shoes. Iām not promoting the shoes, nor am I promoting Jordan. But the movie and the story are good and the cast is terrific.
Movie may be good But reality sucks. Shoes are made in China was slave labor and when they hit the market kids started killing each other for them. I was going to law school in Chicago when this happened and the city asked him to speak to school groups to encourage these poor black children not to kill each other and he asked for a $50 thousand dollars speaking fee. He is an asshole.

Has anyone watched The Rabbit Hole on Paramount? Itās about a conspiracy theory and a groups effort to reveal it. I wasnāt crazy about it. Episodes were released one week at a time which I now find annoying. The story jumps around in time which requires you to pay attention. It had diversity casting which only works if the characters/actors have chemistry. It came across as forced. Basically it involves politicians being owned by at least one wealthy man who sees it as his right to dictate how the world operates and he will go to great lengths to see his vision realized. Not terrible but not great. With soros and the WEF pushing harder it could have hit harder. Curious as to if anyone had seen and had thoughts.
