Herman K. K. Kain is a racist!

It just keeps getting weirder and weirder:

Cornell Belcher: Cain’s “Brainwashed” Remark Was “Racist, Bigoted”

Democratic strategist Cornell Belcher says there is a media “double-standard” over Herman Cain saying blacks have been “brainwashed.” Belcher calls Mr. Cain a bigot and a racist and says this incident is a “teachable moment.”

It’s the revenge of Clayton Bigsby.

Sorry about the quality of the video – it was the only one I could find that was embeddable.

    Here’s another that’s not embeddable:

I’d like to know why Anderson didn’t ask Belcher if CBC members (it’s on tape) are bigoted when they call Herman Cain “Uncle Tom” or “Oreo.”

The whole country has become a reality-tv show.

  4. Lola-at-Large says:

All I got out of that was that Cornell Belcher thinks Jewish people are brainwashed.

  5. Mimi says:

Boy was that guy rattled. Herman is freaking them out and they do not have a clue how to respond. Ari Fleischer was trying not to laugh or smile so he went bug eyed.

  6. Dario says:

I doubt that Cains bad choice of words will impact his approval rating with the blacks. (snark)

  7. ralphb says:

Cornell Belcher did an excellent job of proving Herman Cain to be correct.

Cornell looked like an ass. He is also scared shitless. He’s not scared of racism. He’s scared of his political group losing their stranglehold on almost all of the black vote. That’s the source of his outrage. He’s terrified.

And BTW, I think the term “brainwashed” was insulting and not a good choice of words for Cain.

Oh, and when Cornell claims that he “would never say that 70% of southern whites vote republican so they are brainwashed” he is full of shit. The left says that kind of crap all day long.

But the most remarkable thing is the sheer panic. If you had been in the room, I’d bet you could just about smell that fear. If even 10 or 20% of black voters ever decide to try on a different political party for size, the Dems are toast.

Did anyone see the last few minutes of Neil Cavuto’s 4pm show on Fox today? I’ll go look for the vid. It wasn’t a Cain endorsement as much as an essay on “what’s wrong with choosing a candidate w/o political experience, how’s that working for us so far?” kinda rant. Perked me up đŸ˜€

  10. WMCB says:

New interview with Juan Williams. He talked about how NPR tried to control what he said, and at one point told him he “wasn’t acting like a black person”.

  11. Three Wickets says:

If Cain did say all “black people are brainwashed,” I think it was right for Belcher to push back. Politics by definition thrives on too much generalizations about people imo.

    • yttik says:

Cain did not say ALL black people are brainwashed.

He said, “I have received some of that same vitriol simply because I am running for the Republican nomination as a conservative. So it’s just brainwashing and people not being open-minded, pure and simple.”

He went on to say, “I meet them every day. They stop me in the airport. And so this whole notion that all black Americans are necessarily going to stay and vote Democrat and vote for Obama, that’s simply not true. More and more black Americans are thinking for themselves. And that’s a good thing”
